Her role is proper big this time round...and is involved in quite a few storylines.

I think this is because leela has changed. Now days Shilpa is involved in evrything and now we are starting to see her nearly in every episode.

yes and its good. shilpa is the only working bahu. her perspective makes the show interesting.
