A new season of Baa Bahoo Aur Baby will soon go on air, and though there are no changes in the Thakkar family, a few new characters will be introduced.
Producer JD Majethia guarantees that there are no generation leaps, the only new thing will be the Thakkar family's new house. "The family has moved to a new house, which is normal as any family do that. Apart from that there are no big changes."
Anjali will be seen playing Leela Bhabhi's role, which was portrayed by Lubna Salim. "My seniors and the makers of show asked me to perform the role in a particular way. I just had to follow instructions. I am so lucky that each artist has helped me. They suggested acting nuances, what would look nice, how to wear this saree, etc. Especially Baa (Sarita Joshi), who told me correctly what would look good on me."
Majethia believes that though audiences are used to a certain person playing the character, when they see Anjali in the role they will never feel like someone else had acted the part. "This is company is quite precise about acting also, not just on the look. I did an audition for them. This entire unit enhanced my performance. I really enjoy shooting and I wish the show would never end," adds Anjali.
Soon, the family of Birju (Amit Verma) will be introduced in the show; Dolly Minhas will be seen in Taiji's role, while Shakti Arora will play Jigar. Season two starts on August 23 (2009), Sunday, at 8pm. This time there will be hour-long episodes twice a week.
