Amit Verma turns detective

TV star Amit Verma's much-delayed film, Detective Nani is finally seeing the light of the day. "I am quite happy for producer-director Romilla Mukherjee for she kept
trying to release the suspense film, but something or the other kept going wrong. She was looking for a summer time release. To be honest, I had even forgotten about the film for I had started work
on it around five years ago now, even before Hotel Kingston happened," says Amit Varma.
Talking about his role in the film, he says "I play Rohan, a good looking teenage kid who lives in Detective Nani's (Ava Mukherjee, Darna Zaroori Hai fame) colony and how I help her crack a case.
But will the audience recognise him as Amit is not a teenager anymore?
"Thankfully, I have managed to maintain my youthful
looks even today. However, I do agree that I was very raw then and fans should overlook those flaws," he quips.
