It was time to announce the winners of 60th National Film Awards. Before we share the winners list, here are some of the interesting facts about these awards.
It was established in 1954, and is administered, along with the International Film Festival of India and the Indian Panorama, by the Indian government's Directorate of Film Festivals since 1973. The National Film Awards are presented in two main categories: Feature Films and Non-Feature Films. The juries are appointed by the Directorate of Film Festivals in India. And the award ceremony is held in New Delhi, where the President of India presents the awards.
Last year "The Dirty Picture" had bagged 3 National Awards, Best Actress – Vidya Balan, Best Costume Design and Best Make-up Artist.
