No, not the images. But the PSD file itself.

Except mine are currently sitting at ~900 MB each and no matter how many changes I make within the file, the file itself won't reduce its MB size.

Ya..That's what..Size of PSD file depends on the image or gif you are saving..900MB??? Are you saving video as psd file???

No no! I'm saving the frames that I use to make my gifs. Idk what's going on. I've made so many gifs and saved their PSDs but never had this issue before.

Loll, system toh khud kahin baar crash ho chuka hai. πŸ˜†

Here are the screenshots:

One thing that I have noticed is that when I was saving some of the files (like the kidnapsaree ones), I was doing it without making any modifications except deleting some frames that I didn't want. I.e., I didn't change the image size from 1280p, convert into smart filters, etc.

Do I really need to make all these changes prior to making my initial PSD file? Also, when I tried to save these heavy files (e.g, kidnapsaree6) as a new PSD file after I had made my modifications, I still wasn't able to reduced file size. It came out as the same ~900+ MB.

1280p pe yehi hoga. What's the # of frames?

Better you make copies of it, reduce size what you will post as final one and cut frame #. Like for eg you making 4 gif for a scene 250*140 size save for them and reduce frame/size

I meant your work area in photoshop..The frames and image size..

See your image size is 1280p..That's huge for a single frame itself..So when you add psd coloring minimum it will take 2 - 3 MB to save a single picture as psd file itself..

So if you are working on gif..And the no. of frames is 100 with image size 1280p.. Then it will be around 200MB to save the psd file without adding any psd coloring..

And you have to delete unwanted frames from the "Layers panels" also..Not only in "Timeline"..Or else all add up to psd file size while saving..

Keep the no. of frames to maximum 50 with size 500p for gifs if you want to post it in Twitter or Tumblr..Then only psd file will be 28 - 30 MB!!!

If you want to post your psd file in Devianart or gif for IF..Keep the no. of frames to 20 and size 250p..

No, no! I have never made my gifs that big.

Before saving them, I always reduce the image size, remove unwanted frames, convert to smart filter, do the colorings and then save them. And still, I get this huge PSD file.
