T he story of the most beau- tiful girl ever has turned ugly. Ardhangini – Ek Khoobsurat Jeevan Saathi is reportedly going off air. The late-night Devdas-ish magnum opus has been in trouble since day one. First, its launch was delayed. Next, the director was replaced. Then lead actress Sudeepa Singh fell ill. And now it's curtains for the soap. Reason: dismal TRPs. Changing tracks Lead actor Ajay Krrish attrib- utes its failure to the execution. He says that the treatment went haywire and the creatives were forced to change the track, turning it from a romantic drama to a thriller. "My character Priyam doesn't have much to do now," he adds. Simrin Gatlekar, creative head of the show, retorts: "True, the TRPs are low but we're still hopeful that the show will pick up. Why else would we have intro- duced the thrill element?" It's jinxed Another source claims that the set on which Ardhangini... is being shot is jinxed. Apparently, none of the shows filmed on it has done well.
