Episode begins with Kangana very happy with the news of Priyam's return. She runs throwing rose petals, releasing balloons and goes to her room and from a small box takes out Shankha and Pola( the red and white bangles worn by all marrried Bengali women). She says to herself that finally they've fitted her wrists. In all the time he's been away, she's felt him in every breath she drew, in every time she closed her eyes, his image was in her eyes and that he had promised that he'd meet her.
Her father comes into the room and overhears her and tells her that there's no way Priyam could have forgotten anything as love always finds its way. Now he understands why sh's refused all other proposals. While this convo is taking place, Raktima is eavesdropping. He then asks Kangana if he should offer her hand in marriage to Priyam and takes her silence to mean her assent. He promises to make him her life partner and they hug. Raktima rushes to her mother and tells her that she'll die if she doesn't get her love Priyam. Her mother is elated at her choice and tells her that this marriage will take place as she's got her mother's support. She swears on the Maa Durga.
The father is on the terrace and is joined by his wife Sushmita. He tells her that their daughters have grown up so fast and now its time to bid them goodbye and send them to their own homes. She tells him that her daughter has told her everything and that she approves. The father thinks she's speaking of Kangna and is happy. He tells her that they cannot delay any further and should call Priyam's family to formalise the rishta. Kangna is sleeping and dreaming of her childhood days with Priyam She wakes up and continues to hear him play the banjo. She thinks her love has returned and rushes to the terace to see him sitting on the lawn bench and playing the banjo. She rushes through the house dropping her chunri and anklet on the way but when she goes close sees its Partho. She asks him how he knows this tune and he tells her that he saw the tune notation in her diary. She's upset that he's peeked in her personal diary but soon pats him on the face and forgives him. Raktima witnesses all this from the balcony.
Kangna returns to the room to see her father there looking upset. He tells her that when daughters mature fathers lose sleep and holds up her fallen chunri and anklet. Seeing her restlessness he says they've decided to call Priyam's parents to tea the next day. She's very happy.
Kangna is getting dressed by her Thakuma who then puts a kala tika on her to keep away the evil eye. She says that till your prince doesn't come this black tika will protect you. Partho is sitting and loking at Kangna's picture and Raktima sneaks up and snatches the picture. She then asks Partho to what extent he'll go for his love . He says he'll do anything and she smiles wickedly. At Priyam's house, the invitation to tea comes from the Chatterjee house and Priyam's mother says that for her son she wants a beautiful bride. Other female members are there and one of then offers the hand of her sister Bipasha but its rejected coz Bipasha is too westernized. At the Chatterjees all preparations are done when Raktima receives a call that Partho's in hospital after an accident. The father rushes off telling Sushmita to make all apologies to the guests, as he leaves both mother and daughter smile and look at each other.
Priyam's family has arrived and Sushmita is loudly praising her daughter's culinary and artistic achievements. Kangna is eavesdropping, Thakurma goes to fetch her but as they are coming to meet Priyam's family,they are stopped by Sushmita who tells Kangna to stay out in her room as the proposal is for Raktima. Raktima smiles gloatingly and Sushmita tells Kangna not to ruin her sister's life and pushes Kangna roughly towards her room.
