Update for 4th May Monday

The guy continues to ask what is the answer for people who are their victims and have suffered at their hands. Arasi asks him who he is and what he wants. The guy says he is one of the affected by the terrorists. His brother was a victim in a bomb blast on a train. He questions whether his brother will come back and why these people should be given podumannippu. Arasi replies that it will stop more bomb blasts in future and hence stop more brothers like his from dying. She talks about death sentence and says she believes that that is not the answer and says if soldiers were afraid that they will die in war field then not many will be going to war to fight for the country. She goes on to say that these terrorists are not her relatives and nor are they related to the minister and the other officials here and says there is no selfishness but only public interest in this action.She says all affected should come to them and they will arrange for any kind of compensation like job, help in studies etc. and assures all help from govt. She says for something good to happen we must forgive some mistakes and requests him to do likewise.The guy has a change of heart and asks Arasi to forgive him. Yamini is clearly disappointed that it fizzled out this way.


Arasi calls Malar to come and sign the release document and Malar moves towards the dais. She is in tears and is dazed. Arasi consoles her and she signs the document. All the terrorists receive the documents and celebrate with sweets. Malar looks sad and comes out. The others come after her and tell her now they must all go to the hospital to see Sezhiyan. She says they must ask Arasi and they all feel they are free now and they dont have to ask Arasi's permission as long as they dont indulge in any violent activities. Malar convinces them they should ask Arasi cos she is the one who helped them all get out. They agree and Arasi comes there at the same time. They ask her and Arasi says that if they want to see they should get to see Sezhiyan. They rush towards the waiting vehicle and Malar is surprised at Arasi. Arasi and the released terrorists go in different vehicles towards the hospital.

On the vehicle the terrorists are all talking about their future. Some want to be together even now and are looking forward to going back to their native places and meeting their kith and kin. A couple of times they bring in the topic of Malar's marriage with Sezhiyan and decide thats an important task they have perform in the near future. Malar weeps silently. They reach the hospital and the terrorists rush off in different directions of the hospital looking for Sezhiyan. Arasi tells Malar it's time to tell them and that Malar should manage them somehow.

Update for 5th May

[A very dragging episode. Too much of dialogue and repeated ones. The last part was one long song with Sezhi's body on the funeral pyre. ( I am not writing much about the song though)]

Arasi wants Malar to manage her friends and hence help fulfil Sezhiyan's ideals. The other terrorosts come back asking Malar where Sezhiyan is as he is not there anywhere in the hospital. Malar tells them that he is not alive. They are shocked and create a ruckus and demand to know how he died. They weep bitterly over the body and ask Malar why she concealed this matter from them and accuse Arasi to be behind this. They want to know if Arasi did this to get name. Arasi says she has earned enough reputation and she doesnt have to earn any. There is commotion and Malar silences them and tells them Arasi meant good to them and wanted to fulfil Sezhiyan's ideals. She says she should be more in sorrow than them as she had greater dreams than them which now stand shattered. Her sole intention was to help secure their release which was what even Sezhi wanted as he always wanted to lead them on the right path. She goes on to say that they wrongly attacked the police stations, bombed bridges and were responsible for the loss of so many lives as a revenge for just one incident. She says they destroyed public property and hence the country in the process. Sezhi also thought this way and wanted to lead a peaceful life. Their path of violence will not change much in the country and Arasi was instrumental in helping fulfil Sezhiyan's dreams. She speaks emotionally and requests them to trust her.She goes on to point out how Arasi had the chance of killing them or betray them to the police but she dint. But if they think taking up arms is going to help they could go ahead but before that they should kill her and then proceed. The terrorists are moved by her speech and agree to listen to her.

Sezhiyan's body on the funeral pyre. All are standing around the pyre. Arasi is also present. A sad song in the background. Malar is weeping inconsolably and a couple of friends sing songs sorrowfully asking Sezhiyan to come back. (Sorry guys I dont feel like translating the entire song.. must have been for 3-4 minutes. heartwrenching though)

Update for 6th May Wednesday

Everybody moves forward to get a last glimpse of Sezhiyan's face and continue to lament. Sezhiyan's face is then covered with cow-dung cakes and Malar continues to weep. The funeral pyre is lit and everyone stands surrounding the burning pyre. Arasi and Malar's flashback of their interaction with Sezhiyan in the forest. All friends look on sadly. A very emotional scene when they all walk away from the pyre and they all have tears in their eyes. Arasi also leaves and the burning pyre is shown for a while with flashbacks of Sezhiyan when he was alive.

Yamini's house. Her father and sister-in-law and brother (i presume) come. They have brought sweets and praise her for giving them rebirth and say they are grateful to her. (Apparently they are celebrating Sezhiyan's death) . They ask her what she wants and she says she doesnt want anything except that her sister in law should be happy in her father's house. Yamini's sister-in-law (girl who acts as Thulasi in Vasantham serial) invites her and DIG for dinner and Yamini's Mother-in-law says its difficult to convince him. DIG enters and they offer him sweets. He asks whats the occasion and his wife persuades him to take sweets without asking too many questions. He takes it and then Yamini's father says they are celebrating all their birthdays on the death of their enemy. DIG is enraged and tells them thats not good manners to celebrate anybody's death even if he is an enemy instead of saying a few words of praise. He warns what if the terrorists could also take revenge on them now and wonders where will this tit-for-tat end. He angrily crushes the sweet in his hand and throws the crumbs and leaves from there. camera focusses on villi Yamini and her disgusting villi look.

Sarojini is stealthily walking in the cover of darkness and her face covered with pallu. She sees a policeman sitting on a bike talking to someone on phone. He is heard saying repeatedly that he will find it out. Sarojini conceals herself and the police guy leaves on his bike. She goes in to an internet cafe and writes an email to Arasi. ( From what i could read she says she wants to tell Arasi all about Vishwanathan who arasi knows as a thief and murderer... and the last line she requests Arasi to help all of them) She sends the email and leaves the cafe. She slowly comes out and GJ is also shown. He is at the steering wheel of his car.

Update for 7th May Thursday

GJ drives on and knocks down a child.A crowd gathers and there is commotion. GJ tries to apologize but the crowd is angry when he says it was the child's fault as it came running across. The mother takes the child which is hurt and Sarojini reaches them and treats the child. GJ in the meanwhile is arrogantly talking to the crowd saying anyways the child is not dead. The furious crowd ask him to shell out money and he agrees to give Rs 500 but they demand 10000. finally he agrees to give a couple of thousands. Through this conversation he also notices Saro and wants to reach there but he is stopped from going near the child and is literally chased away. Saro is treating the child and bandaging the wound as GJ watches her from a distance and moves on. She assures the mother the child will be ok and that she has given her medicines and TT injection. They thank her profusely and Saro leaves.

Arasi in her office. She sees Saro's email in her inbox. She opens the mail and reads. Saro writes that she is not sure whether to greet her or express her pain. She says she would have surrendered if she had killed Bhavani and says her husband's statement implicating her went against her and nobody will believe her now. The circumstances surrounding it like her escape from the hospital and stay with Bhavani made the situation complicated for her. But the fact that she is in hiding does not in any way quell the suspicions that have been aroused. She doesnt expect the police to come and find her and arrest her but she is unable to come cos Viswanathan, Nalla Thambi and GJ are all looking for her . She ends the mail by saying that she is a doctor who saves lives and doesnt take lives.

Arasi asks for the source of the email and she gets the required information. She leaves to an internet cafe in Pudupettai. She questions the internet guy and he admits that the lady (Saro) in the picture had come alone to his internet cafe the previous day to send an email and that she had never come before. Arasi leaves asking him to notify the police if Saro comes again.

Arasi and Palani show Saro's picture to people in the vicinity and question them if they have seen her. They all say no. Arasi asks a woman and child the same question and the child has a bandage around her head.(she is the girl Saro treated when GJ ran over her) She gazes for a while and Arasi
repeats the question and looks on at the girl.

I saw one more scene and that was the last scene.

Selvi comes to pandian and they both come to see sarojini amma. Pandian takes her to a Mechanic shed and there he removes a white aloth from a Van. Inside there is a set up for a living. But sarojini is not there. Selvi asks where she is. Pandian tells she wiould have gone nearby, but selvi insists that she told not to leave her.

Pandian calls out some other person(I forgot the name) there and inquires. He says that Amma left s'day night. When interrupted, she said she will be back soon. But she din't come. Pandi shouts that he asked not to leave her out. The guy tells that he told not to go, but she din't listen to him. When asked y he din't cal, he told pandian's mobile was not reachabel.

Pandian expalins selvi, that we went to the sea and there will be no tower. Selvi is tensed and she asks how come u give reasons after leaving her. She says that she don't know wat to do. How to find her out. Pandian tells she will be somewhere here only and will come back. SAelvi asks, if she can come back, she should have, by this time. Pandian keeps mum. Selvi is much tensed and polambifying something.. She don't know how to find amma. Enga ponangalo.. Enna soldradho.......

Update for 8th May Friday

Arasi at a meeting of cops and talking about Saro's email and her presence in that area. She wonders why the mother of the child doesnt accept having seen her though Saro treated her child. She wants the cops to watch the area for Saro and keep an eye on the child's mother as well. Arasi also wants the cops to continue watching Selvi as she suspects that everything is moving in a well planned manner and suspects that Saro and Selvi could be protecting each other. She doesnt want to take action based on Saro's email citing an earlier example where they faced humiliation for acting on Saro's phone call. She says the first thing is to find Saro and then proceed from there.

DIG's Sambandhi meets a few people and they talk about Sezhiyan's poisoning in the prison, He says that Sezhiyan's friends could create problems for them by taking up arms once again to take revenge. They decide to treat them like outcasts and want to ensure that even their relatives treat them as outcasts.

The terrorists are returning to their native place and are expecting a warm welcome from their friends and relatives. Contrary to their expectations, people avoid and ignore them when they approach.They expect at least their families to accept them. Malar goes to her cousin sister's house where she is cold shouldered by her cousin. She rebukes her for bringing disrepute to the family and being responsible for her aunt's death who committed suicide. She continues to taunt her and says her children will be orphaned when she dies. She rudely expresses her displeasure openly which hurts Malar. Malar tells herself that whether she likes it or not she has no where else to go.

Kolanji another terrorist reaches his house and finds it in a dilapidated condition. He laments and remembers the good old days when he lived there with his parents. Some one tells him that his parents disappeared after the police interrogation and no one knows whether they are alive or not. Kolanji weeps bitterly and is reminded of all the dreams his parents had nurtured for him only in vain.

Arasi in her office and talking to her trusted assistants. She tells them that now that she has got the podhu mannippu for the terrorists there is going to be more difficult problems from the terrorists themselves. She will succeed only if they live a peaceful lives and even one of them goes astray and considers the terrorist life better then they will lose. She asks them to keep an eye on them all and keep her informed of their future plans so that they dont go astray.

One of the terrorists is returning home and is rebuked by his brother and tells him that he doesnt inherit a bit of their parents' property and literally kicks him out saying their parents died disowning him and did not leave any property behind for him. He scolds him that he dint do anything to his parents but loafed around with Sezhiyan and kicks him out.

Another terrorist returns home to his sister. At least this guy is welcomed back by his sister though she is sad. He wants to meet Lakshmi (the girl he wanted to marry) and is stunned to find her gone mad and is kept confined in a room. She suffered mentally when she found out that he took the wrong path.He goes to her and tries to talk to her but she doesnt seem to recognize him and shoos him away.

The third terrorist shown in todays episode comes close to his house and remembers the police taking him away -his wife crying and someone lamenting that he doesnt even have children yet.
He comes to the doorstep and calls out his wife Mallika. She comes with no expression and he is surprised to see a small child beside her. He asks her who the child is and a guy enters (apparently his cousin) with another child in his arms. He takes him away and the lady closes the door. he takes him away and tells him that he married her cos the village elders decided that way as she had lived only 6 months with him and had to move on in life. They now have two children and he wants him to let her live her life.
The guy is heartbroken and is left weeping bitterly..

Update for 12th May Tuesday

The same stories continue. Another terrorist girl returns home to find her brother killed and his sister in law throws her out blaming her for all that happened.

Malar at her house offers to help her sister in the kitchen but she continues to be rude. She is talking affectionately to her cousin's children but her cousin doesnt like it and dissuades them from talking to Malar. She tells them that may also go astray and so wants to keep off Malar.

Her cousin's husband comes home and exchanges pleasantries with her. His wife doesnt let him speak to Malar.He apologises and leaves.
Her cousin's husband is having lunch and invites malar to have lunch. Her cousin doesnt show interest. He persists that she have lunch with him. She has lunch as he prods his wife to serve food to Malar. The children go to sleep and the cousin throws a mat and rudely asks her to sleep. Her husband asks if children and Malar went to sleep. She scolds him why he has so much interest. He says she has lost love for her cousin. Malar is lying on bed and weeping and remembers all her cousin said when she came home. Flash back of another terrorist remembering his plight when he came home.

Kolanji and the other terrorist meet and the second guy laments that his brother threw him out. Kolanji says he has to look out for his parents and they weep saying that their enemies have succeeded in taking revenge. A third guy comes and joins them and they tell him what happened. The third one says he lost his wife too. They cry at their situation and feel they could have died in the forest or in the prison. They feel they should leave the village before dawn as they are disgusted with the people.

Malar's cousin's husband gets up in the middle of the night and walks into the room where Malar is sleeping and closes the door and comes and sits next to her.

Update for 13th May Wednesday

Malar's brother in law stealthily comes in to the room and sits beside her. He touches her and Malar wakes up with a start and tells her to quietly support him and go along with his wish as anyway her cousin doesnt want her there and she can stay only if she accepts his support and gives her time till the next day to decide. Malar weeps and then just before dawn she leaves her cousin's house and keeps walking. She meets the other girl whose brother had died and sis-in-law threw her out. They find out what happened with each other. Malar tells her that have each other now and they can decide together what to do next. They also wonder if they are the only two in a similar plight. They keep walking and find the other four guys desolately sitting in the open.
They again find out that the others too dont have a place in the village and in people's hearts. The panchayat had decided not to accept them. They feel only Kumaresan whose morai ponnu has lost her mental stability has not been humiliated. They suggest they meet Arasi but Malar stops them saying lets not disturb her and she suggests that they go to a new place and start a new life. Kumaresan refuses to accompany them as he wants to take care of his morai ponnu. They leave him and walk on.
DIG comes home calling his wife. Yamini comes and offers to bring coffee. DIG wants to talk to her and conveys to her that government wants to investigate Sezhiyan's death. She says that there is nothing to investigate as he died due to food poisoning and DIG says that will come out after the investigation. Yamini now and again says she will go bring coffee but DIG keeps her back and goes on to say he has been entrusted the task of investigation. He has some doubts regarding why only sezhiyan was affected. yamini wonders if he has already started the investigation with her. DIG says that she is IG and so he is taking her opinion. She says there is no reason to believe he is murdered and DIG says he never said murder. He may have been unwell and died but there were no such symptoms according to his friends. He further questions why he was taken to GH and why the jail doc came to GH but was absent at the prison. He also questions why the jail superintendent also dint communicate to her and him about the violence in the prison and he suspects there is something wrong in Sezhiyan's death. He vows to take action against whoever is involved. Yamini is deep in thoughts and looks clearly worried about the new problem

Update for 14th May Thursday

Bank manager comes to Arasi's house. Abhirami welcomes him and tells him Arasi is here. Manager comes to Arasi and praises her. Arasi asks him to tell the matter for which he has come. He says her US relatives had come to bank for loan. Arasi says he should give if he trusts them. He says he wants house documents for collateral security and says Abhirami told that he could come to take. Arasi calls Abhirami and asks why she told such a lie. She says she has already told the property in her children's names. She says they should have asked her and warns them not to use her name. Warns the manager too asking him if he is peon or manager and wonders how much commission he got and warns him she will book them on cheating case. Abhirami takes the manager in to talk in private

Singa Perumal lamenting in front of his son's picture. Flashback of his death etc. The wife comes there and asks him why he does this everyday. She requests him not to leave her. He blames her for him not being able to take revenge on Kalai who killed his son.He doesnt want to kill his wife ponnuthai cos he would be crying in front of her photo as well. He vows to somehow take revenge on Arasi's family and amends his vow to kill Kalai and bury her at the same place as his son to separating the members of Arasi family. Phone rings and Thyagu calls his as he wants to meet him.
Singam agrees.

Bar and Thyagu waiting for singam. Singam comes and then orders a foriegn drink for Thyagu. Thyagu talks about the loan and house document matter. He says wife is upset that al this is becos they are eating in their house without earning. Same Obama joke repeated (that he will be made a cabinet minister in Obama team) He wants to take revenge on Arasi. Thyagu and Singam talk in muted dialogues and villainous looking Thyagu is ready to listen to Singam's words and act accordingly.
