Better to off-air a show once it's content starts going downhill, especially when trps are constant with or without good/bad tracks.

YHM was from a different era, for a different channel. Ratings also worked differently back then.
I have always had high hopes from Sony. But even in case of BALH1, the story went downhill after Pihu grew up. So I think when it is BT, they always have their way. 🙈

Absolutely! When there's potential to save the show from eventual disgrace, they should at least try to treat it differently. Why to kill an already weak plot just to take it off air?

Ekta's content, no matter how bad, is accepted by trp audience. That's why the bhagyas, YHC, serpentwoman, etc., are running for years with great trps. So, she has the power and audacity to say it in our face, that many like you, have endorsed and accepted my storylines.
While channels give more chances to bigger ph, every channel has off-aired a show once its ratings start falling or are too low, regardless of the makers' brand name. So I see some sense in giving feedback to channel.
If Appnapan had high ratings, I wouldn't even bother sending a mail, just simply quit watching, the way years back i stopped watching ksbkbt, kggk, kasauti, and Ekta's Roman empire-inspired Mahabharat.

Ruining an already weak plot is a desperate attempt by makers to get an extension. But, they seldom understand you can't save a sinking ship. So, better to go down with grace...but....but....
