Firstly, we all know story kept changing. Secondly, the story that was narrated to the cast might have been beautiful, but, the story that was presented was utter crap.
Thirdly, Appnapan's trp was 0.3 at both 10pm & 10.30pm. By the time, the 10.30pm slot was cancelled the story had become garbage and channel had already made up it's mind to off-air it.
6.30pm slot was only for giving makers time to bring the show to a logical end.
Lastly, nothing shocking about the off-air decision. Since 2020, 0.2 - 0.3 non-mythological non-reality fiction shows run for max 6 months, 0.4 shows run for 8 months, and only 0.5-0.6 shows are safe.
Notable examples of 0.1 - 0.4 shows ended within 2-8 months: Beyhadh2, Dosti Anokhi, Story 9 months ki, krpkab3, Ishq par zor nahin, Dhadkan, Kaamna, Mose Chhal Kiye Jaye, and Sargam ki Sade Saati.
Plus, not all shows can go digital. Online trp should be 30+ like edkv2. Apnapan never had 30+ and post Sonali track it was out of the list.
Sony usually asks it's makers to keep stories as realistic as possible. But with balh2 bringing 0.5-0.6 and ekta being ekta she went with her regular dramatic cringe track, changing original storyline.

But if Sony had given a slot between 7.30-10, it we hv garnered more than 0.3!!
None of the Sony show has garnered more than 0.3 at 10pm.
Then they changed the slot to 6.30 and 10.30. We can't expect a good number at 6.30 even at other channels like SP, Zee, colors fr Sony ne kese Socha ki hmare show ki trp aaegi, but fr b it managed 0.3, and only after Sonali track it went down to 0.1-0.2.
Show never started at 10.30pm cz of KBC, it was like 10.40-10.50 to 11.10-11.15.
As far as I know, TRP is calculated at each half an hour interval.
When our show got dual slot, crime patrol's trp increased to 0.4.
It was continously shown CP is at 0.4 at 11, but in actuality at 11, it was our show telecasted on the screen. 11-11.30 wale ki slot ki trp CP m 0.4 count ho rhi t jbki CP 11.15 pe telecast ho rha tha.

0.4 se bhi kuch farak nahi padta. Sony pe safe rehna hai to 0.5 - 0.6 hona chahiye. May be Sony wasn't confident that between 7.30 - 10pm, Appnapan will perform. May be Ekta and her writers came off as very confused to the channel.
Channel knows very well no trp comes at 6.30pm. They wanted to off air the show so it was pushed to the dead slot.

Good and bad tracks come and go, in our case, it was just Sonali track which spoiled everything, ek track hi to tha, bs tym de k improve krwa dete ya change krdete uss track koðŸ˜ðŸ˜
TBH Sonali track was such a wahiyat track which sadly has 50% shares in the whole complete series,, I remember asking for a WU before watching the episode, cz dahshat hoti t pta ni Kya kia Hoga smc ne...now I couldn't even tolerate her in thumbnail, I just don't open those videos with thumbnail as Sonali and captions related to her.

Technically, Sonali track didn't do much damage tv trp-wise. The ratings remained more or less sticky at 0.3. And I had been saying from the beginning it will be a finite show due to it's trp.
I only have one grudge with the makers. They should have anticipated the show cannot run beyond 6 months and shown us a more realistic and organic story.
Atleast we would have had a blissful story that can be viewed for life. With this Sonali track, no way I am rewatching the show ever.

The only good thing about the show is it's cast and it can only be remembered for that.
