I had the same question too. If we assume that Adhya’s behavior as a 9 year old is not normal (as claimed by some), what is a mother supposed to do in that situation? We are told time and again that Adhya is jealous , selfish and what not!! So, what should a mother of such a child do ? Leave her? And then tell the world that she’s besht Maa?

Now look at MBBS is that degree not enough but UK holds exams only if doc passes they give jobs. Will any US eduacated doc be ready to write exams in any country to continue practice? Not really

Sorry, but every country insists on country specific examinations for critical professions like medicine (not sure but law and business). Even India now has exams for immigrants or non-Indian graduates wishing to practise in India.

There is a reason why countries insist on this amd while a part of it may be to ensure the same level of education standard, it is also to ensure the immigrants are made aware of local rules, regulations, methodologies, processes etc. which significantly vary.

We have seen that most people travel abroad for further studies and it is seen beyond doubt that they fair better than most students in their peer group of students across the globe.

Ever wondered why?

The foundational education that students get here keeps them in good stead. They are able to better perform because they know how to handle pressure. May be their concepts and application are better.

Now coming to the dismal state of rural schools, etc. We ALL have heard of public v/s private school debates, We have been told about "good school districts" etc. of people staying abroad. Aren't these a glorified version of what challenges we have here?

There are too many covered issues here, i will give my opinion on few of them:

1. Why did Anupama marry Anuj?

Anupama would have married a rich Indian millionaire, for ALL you know. US returned not being the criteria.

One thing we both agree is, she probably never respected or loved Anuj. She certainly never accepted Anuj's family which is evident in the difference in her treatment of both families. The final proof being the chaaku act.

2. Would Anupama have married a poor or orphan Anuj?

That is something none of us can be sure. Unlikely.

3. Vanraj and Hansmukh's acceptance of Anuj due to his status of being a rich man.

Yes, atleast in case of Vanraj, it was shown about him discussing with his parents (not sure if Hansmukh was there but Leela certainly was) how Anuj probably wanted a family of his own to secure his wealth and how his children would not be at a risk of either not getting anything because they are adults or getting a meagre amount. That he though Anuj was an innocent, madly in love boy but the adoption proved he was smart and not gullible.

4. Anuj's clout.

It is because he is a stupid, rich guy. US returned does Not matter.

5. What Indian parents want?

Indian parents want a settled, educated boy and family where their daughter will live comfortably.

Infact, they are careful about the financial status so that neither has to bend.

Kisi zamane me hoti thi NRI grooms ke liye demand. Abhi duniya itni choti ho gayi hain aur ladkiyan saksham hain aur kayi NRI grooms ke dhoke nazar me aaye hain. Abhi kam hue hain.

Besides, it is important to understand why parents were crazy about NRI grooms or why people went abroad to settle. Are the reasons still relevant?

Even this is not the main issue, just a made up issue.

CA wanting to sit in mother’s lap was her insecurity that built up due to months or maybe years of neglect.

Aadhya now recalls only one incident that Mummy saved her last, which is also not the real issue but makers very easily ignored what led the insecurity build up in Aadhya.
