Thanks for all the response. I initially had big plans for this SS, it could have been a FF. But im not sure anymore, hence this is the last chapter for now.
Before leaving, aditi took one last look at the room.
"Aditi chalo." Vikrant called out and they left.
they took pintu back to Shaitan chauki for interrogation. He seemed normal now but he denied remembering anything about the things he said at the hospital or how he got into that building.
"Saab maaro mat Saab, mei sab sach batata hu. Mujhe nahi pata Mei hospital se kaise bhaga. Mujhe aisa lag raha tha jaise Mei kisike vash me hu, mujhe jab hosh aya to mei Shivani madam ke ghar pe tha aur wo behosh padi thi, mei dar gaya Saab aur wahan se bhag gaya. Mei kisi vanaraj ko nahi janta saab, mei bittu bhai ke liye kam karta tha. Iske aage kuchh yad nahi hai saab mujhe." Pintu pleaded. Vikrant didn't believe a word and was going to hit him again when aditi stopped him.
"Ruko vikrant, ye sach bol raha hai."
"Tumhe kaise pata?"
"Tum vishwas nahi karoge, lekin mei chizen dekh sakti hu. Uss building mei bhi meine kuchh ajeeb mehsoos kiya tha. Ye vanraj ka case itna simple nahi hai." Aditi tried explaining to vikrant.
Vikrantt simply looked at her in disbelief and left the lockup.
Later pintu was arrested for drugs trafficking and shivani's case was officially closed. Aditi visited Shivani one more time before leaving for Delhi,
"Shivani ab tabiyat kaisi hai?"
"Bilkul thik! Thanks Aditi vicky ki help karne ke liye." Shivani gave her a big smile.
"Arre no problem, ye to meri duty thi. Meine us pintu se bhi baat ki thi. Wo jahan mila tha wo jagah kuchh ajeeb to thi lekin koi paranormal activity nahi dikhi mujhe. Aur vikrant ne pata lagaya hai. Ye pintu pehle police informer hua karta Tha, so may be kabhi tumhare dada ke sath usne kam kiya ho, isilye.. I'm sorry." Aditi said touching shivani's shoulder.
"It's okay aditi, shayad mei hi excite ho gayi thi. Accha wo sab chhodo ye batao Vicky kaisa laga?" Shivani asked trying to change the topic.
"Kya matlab? Aisi koi baat nahi hai." Aditi blushed.
"Meine kab kaha koi baat hai. Meine to bas generally puccha tha." Shivani said with a smirk on her face.
Aditi realized she was caught red-handed. She gathered her things and got up from the chair,
"Lagta hai tumhare dimag pe dawaiyonka asar ho gaya hai. Mei chalti hu. Delhi me milenge, bye take care." Aditi tried to keep a straight face and left the room.
"Byeee.." shivani sang after her. She was going to have so much fun if these two met again.
* Couple of days later *
Vikrantt updates Shivani on the case details and tells her that he has asked Suresh to give him Shaitan chauki's charge so that he can solve the pending cases. Shivani looks at vikrant with hope,
"Vicky, us chauki mei saari purani files hai na? To kya dada.. mujhe ek bar wahan ja kar check karna hai. Please Vicky."
vikrant agreed and took Shivani to Shaitan chauki. Shivani looked to every cupboard and Dusty pile of files she could but she didn't find anything. She came out and sat on one of the benches helplessly. Vikrant came out and joined her too.
"Shivani, agar mujhe yahan dada ki file mili to mei sabse pehle tujhe bataunga. I promise." Shivani nodded at this and vikrant continued.
"Ab dinner pe chalein? Bohot bhuk lagi hai." Shivani rolled her eyes,
"1 hr pehle hi to tune burger thusa tha!"
"Haan to that was 1 hr back! Pata bhi hai ek ghante me kitne minutes hote hai?" Vikrant said with a fake shock on his face.
"Haan haan pata hai itni nautanki karne ki jaroorat nahi hai. Chalte hai dinner pe. Bhukkad!" Shivani said as they got up to leave.
* 2 days later, DCP Suresh's cabin *
Shivanii had gone back to Delhi and vikrant had resumed his post at Shaitan chauki.
"Vikrant.. Delhi se yahan tak transfer wo bhi bina kisi logical reason ke?" Suresh questioned vikrant.
"Sir pata nahi kyu mujhe lag raha hai ke vanraj ko dhundane ke liye mujhe Aditi ke madad ki jaroorat hai. Ye sab ek bohot badi paheli lagne lagi hai, aur jise sulzane ke liye Aditi ka yahan hona bohot jaroori hai. I can feel it!." Vikrant got a bit anxious.
"To ab tum bhi in chizon me vishwas karne lage? Aur hum Aditi ko bata bhi nahi sakte ke use yahan kyu bula rahe hai, vikrant isme waqt to lagega." Suresh told him and vikrant sighed and sunk more into his chair.
Later that day vikrant got a call from shivani,
"Aap humse humari zindagi maang lete, hum aapko khushi khushi de dete. Par aapne to humse humara guroor hi cheen liya." That was how shivani started the conversation.
"Kya nautanki hai? Ab kya kiya hai meine?"
"Kya kiya? Tune meri best officer chhin li mujhse!" Shivani almost shouted at the other end.
"Aditi ne accept kar liya?" Vikrant asked out of excitement.
"Haan.. pata nahi ek din me aisa kya jadoo kiya tha tune ke zat se haan kar di."
"Baby! Ise vikrant singhal ka magic kehte hai, kabhi ana fursat me tujhe bhi sikha dunga, kam ayega!" Vikrant replied very proudly.
* Couple of days later, vikrant's house *
He was getting ready to go to the chauki when the doorbell rang. His servant opened the door and let the guest in. Vikrant came out to the main hall, buttoning his shirt,
"Aditi! Itne subah yahan?"
"Haan.. tumne bola tha urgent case hai to.."
"Haan.. accha kiya ghar aa gayi, us case ke bareme Suresh sir ko bhi nahi pata hai. Ruko mei file lata hu." Aditi was surprised that vikrant had asked her to assist him on a case that even his boss was not aware of. After a couple of minutes, vikrant came back with a old case file and sat on the sofa infront of aditi.
"Aditi, is case ka tum mere alawa kisi aur se koi zikr nahi kar sakti, Shivani se bhi nahi. Are we clear?" Vikrant asked her with a very serious tone.
It was very weird and suspicious but aditi agreed none the less. Vikrant handed her the case file, it read
"Siddhant Joglekar, 1975-2006. MURDER UNSOLVED."
