I think vanraaj took that budha get up in the epi where he attacked vik and sent him to coma to lure him alone and harm him, which he did eventually. Can you specify any epi which tells these two figures are different? About Ananya, yep it was like he's waiting for vik to show up maybe cause he knew Ananya will show her true colors (she did use her powers again and triggered her 'evil' side) so maybe it was losing wat to win the battle.
