Update: 16 May 08

RK's lawyer, on behalf of his client, summons Madhan and Karthik to go to the RK home with their wives. (Shanthi is the one who picks up the phone at Karthik's home; she is sporting a new glamorous hair-do – someone must have told her that some IF fans didn't like the previous hair do with its come-hither look. But two scenes later, when she appears at RK's home, the hair-style changes yet again to a badly-tousled up housewife's bun.) Kids and wives wonder why daddy has summoned them through his lawyer.

PI Indran checks out the car that was used by OKS before he was murdered. The car owner claims he had bought the car just 3-4 months ago from a certain Ramesh. I didn't follow some of the earlier episodes carefully on this point but Indran suggests the murder took place 6 months ago; I didn't realize so much time had been allowed to lapse. Anyhow, Indran only gives the car owner to understand that the car had been involved in an "accident" 6 months earlier, before the latter had bought the car from Ramesh. The car owner says Ramesh has relocated to Mumbai and offers to contact Indran again if he receives information on Ramesh's whereabouts.

Next scene is the comedy interlude. (Occasionally in the background one hears the now-famous ghatam solo that plays whenever Srini or Kandu make their appearance). Srini appears at SKPD's house. He first respectfully calls out for SKPD. Then he calls out "Dai Sankarapandi, vaada" in hushed tones and mutters to himself that this form of address sounds better. Srini then gleefully talks to himself. SKPD enters at that point and Srini starts to fawn over him, equating his pleasure at seeing SKPD with the pleasure one derives from a darshan from God. SKPD orders him to cut the crap and come to the point. Srini tries to interest SKPD in a get-rich-quick property investment along the highway to Bangalore. He asks SKPD to advance him 3 million, which he says he will multiply to 5 million in 3 months. SKPD calls this scheme a "comedy". Srini maintains that he is dead serious. He says if SKPD has no trust in him, the whole transaction could be made in SKPD's own name. When SKPD pooh-poohs this suggestion too, Srini loudly says, "Hmm, I thought I could use Charulatha's name to make a couple of bucks but it is not to be." (Sorry folks, I forgot what he said in Tamil; would have been more colourful.) SKPD perks up at the mention of the name of his nemesis. He demands to know where the Charulatha name figures. Srini then reveals that the person who had originally bought the property in question was Charulatha. (I didn't really follow the details of the property deal that Srini was offering.) The thought of being able to undermine Charulatha naturally is tempting and SKPD then invites a delighted Srini to sit down to talk business.

Final scene: RK's home. Totally soppy stuff. Plenty of heart-wrenching sitar music. As you may have guessed it, it's baga pirivinai time. RK is in prayer before Raji's photo. Kids arrive. RK says he is pleased to have such good sons and daughters-in-law and doubts whether he has been a good father in turn. Then he asks the lawyer to excuse them for a while as it's time for airing dirty family laundry. RK starts to spout poetry and uses all sorts of metaphors to speak about how he had blindly allowed his love to smother his kids. One strange metaphor involved tending a bonsai! (I don't have green fingers, so I have no idea what he meant.) Anyway, after a painfully boring monologue, he tells the kids that he has divided up the properties between the sons and that the latter should in turn give their sisters their dues. Kids are naturally shell-shocked. All have constipated looks. Someone, I think Rohini, says you are our property; we don't need landed property. But RK counters that property and riches have become burdensome for him. Madhan says RK is punishing his kids for abandoning his home. RK counters that the kids would be punishing him by refusing to take the property. RK then throws an ultimatum. If you don't take the property, I will have no choice but to go to Rishikesh or some such place. Whereupon, to my great displeasure (since I would have liked RK to be consigned to the heights of the Himalayas), Madhan first picks up one of the envelopes containing the title deeds and then leaves with Rohini. Karthik follows suit. Mission accomplished, the beaming RK now holds up his hand in prayer before the photo of his beloved Raji. Freeze.

May 19th:

Charu's office er.. home😉. Madhan and Charu are sitting at right angles to each other . Charu wonders why Madhan shud get so upset with the baaga pirivinai? She says RK must hv planned and decided this long time back and there is nothing to feel so sorry. Madhan says that a simple act of theirs to make RK understand Abi has led to RK completely throwing his family out of his heart. Charu says "no body is balanced in your house"😆 - enna Gunaseelathula 8 seat reserve pannidalaama?😃 ."Everyone in your family act like characters on stage, always overreacting😆 emotionally, so cool down, everything wud be fine". Madhan shows his full anger towards Abi. Charu cools him down and ask him to carry on with the work - veetu velaiyo?😃

Sarasu is vethilai - pakku - sunnambu iduchifying in a 'kai ural' - idha parthu ethanai naal aachu? my great grandma had one for murukku😳. She is sitting down and PP on the sofa. Sarasu updates her about the latest in RK household. PP is surprised how RK can do this and she goes on to complain how today's youngsters want to leave their parents back here and go abroad for money - inge enna relevance nu ennakku suthama puriyalai😕. Then she polambifies about her son. Sarasu becomes cautious.

PP continues , now abt Abi -"poga vendiya edathukku porennu pottiya thookittu pona, madiyaaname thirumbi vandhuttu , anna oru kudumbathaiye pirichittu vandu irukkala?" Sarasu gets scared," aiyo naan ungakooda idhellam pesikkittu irunda en velai poidum" and starts towards the kitchen. But since PP has no one else to vambaluthufy, she also wishes to go to the kitchen.

Srini is still with SKPD and he promises to take care of all the 'villanga velai ' as regards to the land deal. He wud arrange for an illegal document dated prior to Charu's land agreement. Even if Charu sues them, the case wud take 8, 10 years & since Charu cannot afford to wait that long, they can make atleast 4, 5 crores from Charu. SKPD is impressed and he says that Charu can wait for ages, but he wud never sell it back to her, that way all her 80 crores wud be lost. Now Srini's smile vanishes - but SKPD assures that he wud take care of Srini.

As a happy Srini is coming out, 'pombala dada' Abi comes home in the 4w and is angry to see him. Srini says he came cos SKPD invited him. Abi threatens him and goes inside to question her father who assures her everything is fine and he has plans to destroy Charu. But Abi protests about including Srini in the scheme - but her father tells her that he wud finish Srini if he cheats. Abi leaves exasparated.

Jammu and her parents visit Charu. Jamuna says her parents wanted someone to complain about their daughter and she cud only think of Charu - Charukku vera velaiye illai pola irukku , think she is slowly replacing Omni as Omni😃. The father polambifies, but Charu assures she has spoken with JC and expects Jammu to be reinstated soon - adhu sari idukku mela police departmentkku izhivu illai😕 . She tells them she wud take care of Jammu - mapillai parthu, silavu seidu kalyanam erpadu pannidaren - wow Charu is so versatile , ippo kalyana contracts👏 . They all leave - ada oru cup coffee kooda offer pannalaiye, so kitchen departmentla Charu must be weak😳 . Charu asks Jammu to meet her again soon and she has lots to discuss.

Anitha visits Manisha - indha Manisha oorukku pogave illaiya? thirumba thirumba ingeye sutthara? 😕 Anitha praises Manisha for being so independent and says she can't leave her family like this for long. Manisha says it is all about circumstances and pulls out a pic of her mother and brother. One elder brother is dead and the other is in the pic. The episode ends with Manisha saying that police is on the lookout for the second brother.

May 20th:

So many scenes today , so I am sure to mix up the sequence 😳

Anita and Manisha at the hospital contd- Manisha says she is scared of her brother , who has been searching for her, but still hasn't found out where she goes or works and that she always goes home when her brother is not there. Anitha sympathizes with her.

Karthik and Shanthi - Today it is their turn to feel sad about the baagapirivinai. Shanthi says that they all wanted to punish? RK a little, for siding with Abi, but he had in return, punished them permanently. She consoles Karthik saying that by taking up the business responsibility completely and sincerely , they can make RK happy.

Srini goes to SKPD's house. But SKPD has gone out. Abi insults him by calling him a clown , joker and baffoon. Srini says he is like a clown in the circus who has to be master of all talents, unlike a ring master who can only whip a lion. He then reminds her about Murthy, whom he got killed in a road accident for Abi's sake. ( CR must have read the list prepared by Vinu and Fluidd) Abi gets a jolt. Srini asks for 'ice-moru' and Abi obliges.

Charu is browsing a matrimonial site and selects a doctor from Coimbatore as a prospective groom for Jammu. Madhan is also there. He expresses his concern about the threat posed by SKPD. But Charu says ennai nambunga. (Emma Charu, appadiye indha Priyakkum ACD kkum mudichu poda erpadu panna koodadha? 😃)

JC meets commiss and explains in detail the circumstances leading to Indra's suicide and emphasizes that it wasn't just Jammu's threat, but also the kidnap by OKS, his murder and Kanakku's subsequent surrender had all led to her death. He requests him to consider everything & reinstate Jamuna. Commish assures he wud take necessary action.

The doctor is driving and he calls up Charu. They have a small chat and the doctor wishes to meet Jammu before bringing his parents. Charu agrees to that and says she wud infor Jammu.

Indra's sis and her hubby bring Kanakku's child to SKPD's house and ask him to help for the medical expenses of the child. SKPD asks Abi to give Rs.10K to them. Instead Abi handsover the child to Sarasu and says it is their responsibility to take care of the child. She asks her father to give some money to them and invites them to have food. After they all go inside, SKPD turns to his daughter and scolds her for taking up this unnecessary responsibility. Abi says -neenga prachanai nnu vandha yosikaradhu kammi , Kanakku is receiving severe police treatment and may spill the beans anytime. Adaiyum ippo naan pannadaiyum kanakku panni parunga, ungalukke puriyum. She goes inside and freeze on a thoughtful SKPD.

Adhane parthen, for a minute I thot Abi had shown little remorse for her past actions- CR has now started playing with another child's life 😕

May 21st:

Charu's house - Dr. Groom arrives. Paarka nalla irukkar, aana nalla velai not from the police dept - otherwise again CR wud have another chance to degrade the dept. Charu receives him and takes him inside the house.Self introduction - he is a doctor having his private clinic in Porur, basically from Coimbatore ( oh siruvani thanni kudichu valarndavara? ) Charu calls Jamuna, who comes with coffee ( no sojji - bhajji - ketti chutney 😃 ) Charu excuses herself, the new pair introduce themselves and then talk - muted dialogues. Rendu perukkum orutharai oruthar pidicha madiri irukku. Doctor says he wud consider himself very lucky to have Jammu as his wife, Jammu also gives a similar reply. Charu comes there and the new couple give their consent. Charu is happy. The doctor says he wud come back with his parents and the women see him off. Jammu receives a call from her father, who wants to know about the maapillai. Charu gives him the good news and asks him to come to Chennai. The father is grateful. Appa asks Jamuna her opinion and she says pidichirukku.

JC's office - Jammu comes there. JC informs her that he has spoken to commish and soon all formalities done, she wud be reinstated. He advises her that this is a hard lesson she has learnt which wud make her extra careful in the future. Jammu tells him about the doctor. JC is quick to understand and says he wud ensure maximum protection for the doctor. He says kalyanam ellam mudinju neengo varumpodhu velaila sera sariya irukkum. Jammu thanks him and leaves.

Srini is in a restaurant. Vishnu arrives and to Srini's shock, reads his mind. When Vishnu comments about the missing blueprint, Srini tries to give some excuse, but Vishnu says he knows about Srini's deal with SKPD, but he has a lock and without his help, Srini can never succeed. Now Vishnu, for his part wants Srini's help in getting the bungalow of Abi for a software company from Bangalore. He says seller's commission wud goto Srini, while buyer's commission wud goto Vishnu. When Srini is thiru thiru muzhichifyiing, Vishnu eats poori.

Srini now visits SKPD with tender coconuts and maskka adichify him. Slowly he starts 70mm about the company and how he came to know that the place they plan to buy is Abi's. But to his surprise, instead of 'thalai seeving' , SKPD shows interest in the deal and ask Srini to proceed. Srini is very happy. As he is leaving , SKPD feels sorry to send Srini empty handed, so calls him and asks him to take the empty coconuts and throw them out (seller's commision 😆 ) - Srini is 😡 and vows to throw not just empty coconuts , but whole thennai maram to get Abi's house😃

Abi visits Kanakku in jail and he thanks her for taking care of the child. Abi assures him that she has visited doctors and the child wud speak by the time Kanakku is released. Kanakku goes in happily- freeze

May 22:

Abi and Kanakku's child are with a Psychiatrist. He says that some shocking incident must hv affected the child and advises that the child should be treated with care , not forced to do anything and as her condition might lead her to have fits,she should not be left alone on the terrace or swimming pool. He gives some medicine. As Abi comes out, she sees Anitha and Manisha ( villi aduthu enna villangam panna poralo?)

Karthik and Shanthi - Karthik says Madhan called up and usual talk abt the will ( ennakku bore adichu pocchu). Then he tells about Jamuna's wedding. Shanthi is upset she was not informed. Idha pathiye rendu perum konja neram pesarangappa - and finally ends with "ippadiya naamalum Priya kalyanathai mudichidanum" 😃

Sarasu brings a ball to the child ( azhagu kutti, periya periya kannu 😊) who is upstairs and tries conversing with her, but the child shows no response. Sarasu leaves. The child starts playing with the ball. Meanwhile inspector Narendra visits SKPD downstairs and usual 'deivame' , thalai mela kumbidu etc. SKPD warns him about ACD, but Narendra says his superior is Shankar, who also has warned him and he promises 'aapu' for ACD. The child misses the ball and it falls down the stairs. Narendra sees the ball, but not the child. The child stops at the top after seeing Narendra. Naren leaves and the child slowly runs behind and watches him -( andha kuzhaindai mugathula enna kovam! so nenaccha madiri there is some foul play in Indra's suicide).

Back at the hospital ( idhenna Anandham seriala vara ellarum ore hospitala lease kku eduthutaangala 😃 ). There is another child who had heart problems and seems Charu had provided finacial help. Charu and Madhan visit the parents, who are very grateful. As they are leaving, they see Anitha and Manisha ( yaaru Manisha vai parkanamo, avangala thavira ooru ulagathula ellarum parthuduvaanga 😉 ). Madhan introduces Anitha and tells about Rocky. They visit Rocky also. They come out & new Omni is full of praise for the young ladies who are taking care of an orphan like Rocky. Manisha slowly puts her head down. The doctor mentions about other poor kids in the hospital, similar to Rocky. Charu agrees to help them all and Madhan goes to collect the details. As Charu is leaving, she sees tears welled up in Manisha's eyes.( so madam ivangalaiyum serthu veikka poranga pola irukku)

Now we see the shadow of a man. He turns his face this side, appuram another side, walks , turns, shakes head, doing Rajni styles with hand, nods and pulls out a gun and points at a blacked out picture . Konja konjama nizhal nijamagudu - we see the hand, gun and ACD kadu kadu in the pic.

Next we see ACD - sporting a beard ( idu than Bon sonna pudu getup? Sabari malaikku poraro ennavo?) He is jogging in the beach, swimming in the pool, getting ready for work and finally leaving- all the time, followed by a jeans clad man - freeze

Manisha in hospital tending to Rocky. Her Mom calls from Kashmir. Since the last conversation about a week ago, Mom has picked up Thamizh and is no longer speaking in the kind of Urdu that one reader said Kashmiri Hindus do not speak! Manisha wonders why Mom is using a different number. Mom explains that she has thrown away her phone and is using her neighbour's phone because Manisha's elder brother had found out that Manisha was in South India and was looking for her. She cautions Manisha to be careful. (So it seems like this terrorist brother is the one gunning for ACD).

PP combing Abhi's hair. SKPD comes in and says he needs Abhi's signature for the sale of RK's house. Abhi insists it's not her house and that if she sells it RK would be upset. SKPD reasons that RK never got upset when Madhan dumped her and married her friend. Abhi still demurs. SKPD then brings up the story of having consulted an astrologer, who had told him that the house was not good for Abhi, vastu wise. Abhi, somewhat sceptically asks why SKPD didn't bring up this vastu "story" earlier. SKPD replies that he didn't want dear daughter to get upset. PP chips in that it must be bad vastu that is also preventing RK from taking back the house from Abhi. She persuades Abhi that it would be in her best interest to agree to the sale.

Targeting of ACD continues. A profusely perspiring gunman has his sights trained on ACD, who is now pumping iron in the gym (in sleeveless Tee and bermudas), then hitting shuttlecock on the badminton court (in shorts). [Commercial break]

Registrar's office. SKPD, Abhi, Srini, Vishnu and buyer, a YS from a software company, are assembled there. Registrar asks Abhi if she is willingly selling the property. SKPD prompts a hesitating Abhi to say yes, I do. Both parties sign documents. Then, Srini and Vishnu, the broker, sign as witnesses. Vishnu reminds Srini that the latter was supposed to have signed for the purchase of the same property a year ago but it had eluded him. Srini tells him to stop reminding him of his ill luck. Registrar asks both parties to return in the evening. The buyer gives Vishnu a 10 lakh brokerage fee and goes off. Vishnu instigates Srini to get his dues from SKPD. Srini runs up to SKPD at the car and awkwardly mentions unfinished business. SKPD insultingly gives him a few rupees and says these days such is the amount given in such transactions; come back to my house tomorrow and I'll give you a bit more. He drives off, leaving Srini fuming. Adding insult to injury, Vishnu mocks him for having become a sucker.

Madhan calls up Karthik, too choked with emotion to speak. Mentions Abhi's sale of family home. Karthik says Abhi has shown her true colours, so now they have proof to show Daddy. Madhan says he won't speak about such matters to RK anymore as the latter's tears the last time had moved him. He hangs up. Shanthi and Karthik now in discussion. Shanthi says RK will be very upset but Karthik more perceptively says RK never gets upset these days. If told of the sale, he will simply say "very pleased" and move on.

Manisha at Charu's office. Charu announces that her company has accepted Manisha's tour proposal and Madhan will follow up. [I have a doubt. Wasn't Madhan sent to help Charu manage her business, not to do what a PA or junior executive does?] Charu then dons her Omni role and says she'd like to speak to Manisha on a personal matter. Mentioning the hospital visit, she says she noticed maternal stirrings in Manisha when she had described Rocky as an orphan. Manisha then admits Rocky is her son born out of wedlock but circumstances obliged her beau to marry someone else and that the latter doesn't know he has a son. Even Rocky doesn't know she is her Mom. Manisha tells all without revealing who the father is, of course. Now, the great Omni Charu says, dear Manisha, you may ask me any time you need my help; consider me like your Mom. (So, Charu is now Mom to Rohini and Manisha, the two "second-wives", and still disowns her own daughter) Manisha leaves and Madhan comes in. He complains about Abhi's treachery in having sold the RK home. But Charu is deep in thought. She commands Madhan to make immediate preparations for the building of an orphanage.

ACD returns home from work late in the evening, all the while being watched by the gunman. The assistant commissioner is in uniform and still in Sabarimala look. He gets a sneaky suspicion that he is being watched and looks around for a while, then goes in. Freeze on gunman; ACD spared till next week 😉

Sarasu buying grocery in a shop and a lady tries to strike a
conversation with Kanakku's child. The child keeps quiet and
the lady complains to Sarasu. Sarasu says that the child knows
only Hindi - undaunted by the quip, the lady asks for the kid's
name in Hindi. Child does a "unakkum beppe, un Hindi kkum
beppe" -further teasing by Sarasu is avoided by the entry of
Nallan. Both Nallan and Sarasu exchange pleasantries -Nallan
laments about his fate -" eppovume oru aalukku thaan cook
pannaum nnu my head writing!!!" Both talk and the kid gets to
look at a policeman. The kid is visibly scared and Sarasu imparts
an important info to Nallan -"police ai partha mrandu poguthu,
athu onnu than problem"

Indran meets JC, informs about his private investigation in OKS
case. Informs JC about finding the car and asks for help in finding
out the owner. " have the photograph from the RC book , if the
police can help in finding that guy, u can consider the case solved"
JC agrees to ask ACD to help out.

SKPD with Srini - Srini talks about arranging for a man from
Andhra -" as soon as the job is over, he will go back to Andhra,
no one will know your involvement" Abi comes there and talks
about Jammu getting married - SKPD says that he is not concerned
about that wedding. Abi asks him to "fold his hands" and keep
quiet "u are just out on bail and any more criminal activities..."
SKPD says that he has stopped all his thiruvilaiyadals but Abi
points out that the company he keeps is questionable. Srini looks
sheepish.

Abi leaves and just then SKPD gets a call from his henchman. SKPD
jumps in glee saying that his men are "gun parties" - " I got
some one totally new to finish this job, he will get that done and call
us." Srini wants to have some fun -"na vena mandapam poi vedikkai
parkatta?" SKPD dispels any such wish -" yov, any of my cronies there will be a give away, pesame u wait here with me" ( now Roja
understands - the man Srini talks about is for the land deal!!! SKPD
has a separate arrangement for "pottu thallu Jammu would be"!!!)
SKPD and Srini wait for the call. His henchman waits outside the
mandapam, showing the gun to all who care to see .

A temple - Dr.Mohan comes with his parents. Jammu arrives with
her parents, Madan and Charu. JC and ACD walk in casuals...
Yes Jammu gets married there - quietly. Charu sends them off to
Australia, Malaysia and Singapore -" honey moon , odidunga,
inge iruntha danger" ( all ACD-Priya fans can heave a sigh of
relief, Jammu is not in the race😳😳- Swamy bhagavane, CR
should not bring in some new girl and torture us more on this
front - avarukenna kondu varuvaar, agapattavar naam allava,
-BG by Roja) ACD promises that her reinstatement will happen
once she gets back from her honey moon. SKPD gets the call
- jumps in joy about his "singa kutty" completing mission. "Asinga kutty" reports that Charu managed to "saathfy pattai naamam" -
" some collector's grand daughter is getting married, I went in
and found total strangers as the bridal couple" SKPD is livid with anger "Charulatha cheated me" shouts to Srini ( in his frenzy, he forgot to address Charu as Muthu!!😳😳) The look Srini gives is difficult to decipher - relief or disappointment???

Omni and baggage in conversation. Omni talks about Jammu's
upcoming wedding -" mandapam ready, groom ready, invitations
ready but eppo kalyanam? namaai koopidave illiye?" ( naan
asainthaal asaiyum akilam ellam, ariveer ellarum nan Omni -BG
by Roja😳😳 hey hey yemanthu poniyaa???) Baggage informs
that Jammu got married and left for the honey moon. Omni is
stunned ( enna da enakku vantha sothanai??? the world is
rotating with out my permission??!!) Baggage looks happy???

Charu visits maanga - talks about her visit to the hospital and how
she met Anitha doing an yeoman service. Madan does a perfect
PA job and says that Charu met Anitha while she was with
Rakhi. Charu talks about getting moved by the orphaned children.
Maanga interjects '" appo thaan u would have felt the futility
of running behind money, illiya?? when Mr.Chithragupthan chops
the expiry stamp on our life certificate, we can not carry even a
cent with us" Charu says that she is planning to donate crores to
the trust and wants maanga to open the charity trust - " I have
a place in mind and I would like u to have a look at it" Maanga is
confused...Madan has a smile...( Ok folks, Charu has decided to
make Maanga's ex house as the trust building - she must have got
it from SKPD - not disclosing her involvement!!! or is it the 80
acres land??? when that becomes such a public interest place,
Srini/SKPD's plans of troubling Charu might backfire?? Roja blinks

Hi folks, am here for my 4th tuesday update. hope all are doing well, thanks to rojakka for reminding me about the update. so here it goes, enjoy:

May 27th update:

Starts from where charu says about her children trust, etc to RK. she asks RK to join the trust and take the responsibility of running it. RK is thinking (for dramatic effect) then says, he had also been thinking of doing something for the community especially after being left alone and accepts the offer. everyone gives a relieved smile. now Charu asks her to come with her to do the lighting up ceremony and opening that trust, she asks all to come with her.

SKPD is sitting in his house and a call comes from one of his adiyals - he says he was sending off his bro-in-law in the airport to dubai, when he chanced upon jamuna and her husband going for a honeymoon to malaysia, singapore, etc on a long holiday and asks how to fulfill his wish of murdering both of them now. SKPD is surprised first and furious and charu is one up on him, he keeps the phone down and tells himself, he will figure out a way to do something for all of them.

Everybody goes and the car stops in front of RK's old house - its written 'Rajeswari trust' everybody including madhan are completely surprised and shocked. RK is moved to tears. he looks questiningly at charu, she says, she bought this house after coming to know that a software company which bought this house from abirami were going to completely destroy it and build a s/w office complex, so she gave a higher price and bought it from the same s/w company, so saying she welcomes RK and madhan into the house. there are women standing with arathi and flowers and do the inviting rituals. all go inside, rk lights the lamp, there is big life-size photo of rajeswari with garland. RK is in tears and remembers his old days and is left speechless. madhan says even he didnt' know anything about it. charu says she kept it all a secret from both father and son and wanted to surprise. charu adds from now on its RK's responsibility and asks him to take charge of ensuring that orphaned kids and destitutes are not left behind and see that atleast 100 kids a year are well educated thru this trust and tell her if there is anything needed, he says, from now he will take care of everything and gives a big namaste and leaves. madhan is also in tears and says he can never thank her enough for getting back their old dream house.

In another scene, shanti and karthik are talking about how charu got the house from abirami and how she is helping the orphaned kids, etc. basically both are praising charu to the skies.

the scene shifts to SKPD's house, he is angry at seenu who is fear personified. abirami for her part tells daddy dear of how she told before itself not to belive this seenu. they all are disappointed of how charu bought out the house from the s/w company and gave it back to RK his sworn enemy. SKPD wanted to destroy RK family but charu is bent upon doing good to them and comes in his way indirectly, she is cunning, etc. Seenu says that he really didnt' know how the s/w company sold it to charu and jeopardised all their plans, he is scared and promises as to how he was also in the dark.

Scene shifts to something weird - a guy we are shown in like a shadow talking to some guy in part hindi - i think one of them is that kashmiri brother of manisha. they are talking that he (donno who .. 😕 ) should be careful in dealing with this murder and not to leave any trace behind so that the police doesnt' track them down with evidence, the shadow guy says yes, he will be careful.FREEZE.

New "Joe" (Manisha's bro?) is waiting in a White SUV and ACD comes out (of his house? no other cop around? hmmm) in his jogging dress - grey sleeveless T shirt and black tracks - and gets in his car. As ACD leaves, he is trailed by NJ. ACD makes it to the beach and is seen jogging (pretty good pace - prompt to all ladies to start drooling 😉). NJ is out of his car and watching ACD.

ACD in a white full sleeve shirt is then seated in a coffee shop(?) chatting with old (non-cop) friends who kid him for not meeting with them more often. ACD throws the excuse of being a cop meaning unpredictable work schedule, blah blah. ACD leaves and NJ is also in the same restaurant. As ACD is driving away, change of scene. His parents are performing archanai for him in a temple. Back to ACD - he is again followed agressively by NJ. Long scene - hmmm how come ACD did not spot NJ's van?. ACD's mobile phone rings and he pulls in to a side street to stop and take his call. How nice of him to make it convenient for NJ! NJ is seen taking out a hand gun and then he too turns to the side road. He lowers his passenger side window and starts shooting - 3 bullets - at ACD's car as he is passing by. None of the bullets hit ACD but the shattering glass seems to have injured his right shoulder, etc. NJ makes a U turn and heads back towards ACD's stopped car. ACD is stunned and attempts to pull out his revolver from the glove compartment using his left hand. As NJ comes close, another shot and NJ gets ACD on his right shoulder.
Change of scene. Temple priest is back with bowl of flowers at the end of archanai and as he hands over the bowl to ACD's amma, she falters and the bowl crashes down! Oh, she cries .. bhagavaaney. Priest consoles her - there are no bad signs in the temple! Amma: enna aatchu; Dad: Avar onnum aagadhunnu sollittaarey. Mon: I am shaken. Why did this happen on his birthday? We wanted him to come bu he asked us to go on. Let's go home and bring him here. Dad: OK, let's go. Back to ACD & NJ. ACD is twitching in his seat. Crowd slowly gathers. One guy in a mobike comes over and looks inside and gets on his mobile.

As ACD's parents are leaving the temple, SKPD's van pulls up and PP and Sarasu walk in. ACD's amma recognizes PP and enquires PP, eppadee irukeenga? PP does not recognize and then ACD's amma explains. She adds that it is ACD's birthday and PP immediately says a prayer for him. After PP & Sarasu move on, ACD's amma tells dad now that periyavanga said that prayer for ACD, her worries are less. She wants to go back inside temple and pray and dad says ok for her to go in while he waits there.

Scene of ACD's shooting. 2 police vans pull up and Inspector starts enquiring with public if anyone had seen the incident but no one did. JC arrives too and soon an ambulance arrives. Doc walks up to the car and checks for life signs and then ACD is carried to the ambulance. Mysteriously reporters too have arrived and are asking JC questions.

SKPD's phone rings and its NJ on the other side, introducing himself as Joe's friend. SKPD is flustered but NJ tells him I have some good news for you. I have killed ACD. SKPD is really shaken. NJ adds, are you happy now? Call ends and SKPD wonders. ACD's death is good news but police will now suspect me! What's going on?

JC at accident scene on the mobile instructs someone to search & interrogate all suspects. He then calls ACD's dad who is waiting in the temple. ACD's mom walks over just then. JC breaks the news of ACD being shot and mom & dad are shocked. JC confirms ACD's life is not in danger and that he is in Anna Nagar hospital. ACD's mom meanwhile swoons.

Hospital. JC and officers wait inside, along with reporters & media folks. Dr comes out from inside (ICU/emergency?) and asks JC to ensure noise is kept low for patients sake. JC aks reporters to go downstairs and they refuse, wanting answers. Dr comes out again with ACD on dolly(?) and JC asks how he is. Dr says his condition is critical as ACD is being wheeled away. JC then walks over to reporters and when asked again refuses to provide any details. Cops are asked to move them away.

Policeman rings up Charu's home and Priya, seated on a table answers. (Adhu saree.. Bonheaur kettaangaley, Jamuna kalyaanathukku neen yean varalai?). Policeman says he is Anna Nagar Inspector calling from the hospital. Priya says sghe is madam's PA and what's the matter? He informs her that someobody shot ACD .. Priya is shaken and stands up speechless. She finally asks .. engaey, eppadi .. sar eppadi irukkaaru? Policeman adds that as ACD left the club, someobody .. and he is admitted in Anna Nagar hospital in serious condition. JC sir asked me to inform you madam. Priya drops the phone and slowly starts shouting Madam, Madam. Charu walks down the stairs while on her mobile and Priya starts crying and passes her the news, "Duraiya yarro shoot pannitaanga" She says she has to go there now. Charu calls for her driver and instructs him to take Priya there and to be with her at all times. Charu is thinking. She then dials Omni's home and Omni answers. Charu breaks the news to her and Omni is shaken. Switch to operating theater and ACD on the table with anesthesia mask on.
