1Good try, Veena. Here are the nicknames that have been used in these pages.
Shanthi: Omni
Karthik: Baggage
Arjun: Shadow
RK: Mangohead, Buddha, VK (vevastha kettadhu -- not sure what it means but it sure sounds nice to me)
Priya - Azhu Moonju
My own offerings:
Arjun: Poodle (Omni's poodle)
Priya: Sidu Moonju (since she doesn't cry in this serial)
Sreeni: Naradhar (I think someone else has used this term for him)
Rani (Mrs Sreeni): Jhansi Rani (for standing up to her evil husband)
ACD: Superman
Jamuna: Goody Two-Shoes (since it was her magnanimity towards SKPD that got her into trouble)
Karthik: Karadi (he referred to himself as this in one episode and he does look like one 😉
We need some good nicknames for Abhi, SKPD and good old Kandhu. Contest is open ... 😃
Shanti: The Boss (since everyone listens to her and never seems to question her deductions / "theories") .
Karthik: Thota Illatha Thupaki aka Mr. Ching-Chack. (Shanti yedu sonnalum correct-a irukum)
Abhirami: Villadhi Villi
Charu: Malaysia Maydam.
Madan: Veera Pandiya Kattabomman.
Priya: Vidiya Moonji. (Yeppo paathalum oru attitude-problem. Grow the heck up)
Shankara Pandian: Mottai Boss
Cheenu: Oosi Vedi (all talk and no action)
Vishnu: Hot Air (as above - all talk and no action)
RK: Buddhar, Yesu, Gandhi - chose whichever pleases you most.
Rohini: Mrs. Veera Pandiya Kattabomman.
Arjun: Boss' lapdog
Anitha: Mrs. Lapdog
Indu: Little Ms. Know-it-all.
Good ones, Paythal. Unfortunately, I must disagree with you on the nickname for Madan. My counter-suggestion: Veeramiladha Katta Bomman. He had no guts to tell Daddy he was in love with some other woman and instead reluctantly married Abhi. And, then he could not accept a woman (Rohini) doing better than him professionally. No, this is a Veeramiladha Katta Bomman.
Sarcasm, mon ami, sarcasm. 😉
