I was pleading and pleading with everyone here not to remind Mr. V about AAA and A. Eljay ippo thrupthiya?😭😆 Still I am very much relieved, rather happy- my last update😃. Thanks everyone for your patience.

Verdict: NWW (not worth watching). Looks like the AAA affair may end soon. (It has to, with only 10 more episodes to go.)
Anitha sitting in soga kattam. Manisha comes in and, predictably, chides her for staking her marriage on the future of the KSM affair. She says, "You have been trying to unite me with K just because I gave him a "varisu". What if Shanthi too had given him a varisu? Who would have then had the right to stay on with K?" M also asks: "What if your dad had decided that S should stay on with K and I should go? Would that have meant you'd never go back to A?" Finally, M says, "If K finds out that the terrorist Sameer was my brother, do you think he would even accept me? He's a military man and would he want any association with a person from a terrorist's family? Would he even accept Rocky as his son in such circumstances?" (Aww, Manisha, one can't be guilty by association.) M says the main reason she is sticking around is to protect K from Sameer. If the police takes care of Sameer, she will gladly leave as she has no intention of sticking around with K. A is speechless.
Shanthi comes storming back to Trust and furiously starts packing her bag to leave. Maanga tries to stop her. S says she had come back from her village solely to try to reunite A & A but she has lost hope, so she wants to return. Maanga says he can't stop her but has no heart to let her go. Arjun comes in to say S should stay for his sake, for the sake of her brother. He then reveals that Anitha has sent him a reply to the divorce notice, saying she has accepted the petition and wants to go ahead with the procedure. Maanga is shocked. He says Arjun was right in chiding him at one time for not getting too ruffled when his daughter-in-law had to leave her matrimonial home but getting overly worked up when his own daughter had to leave her husband's home. He will now take matters into his own hands and make a decision. He tells Arjun to leave and asks S to come with him. Both he and S drive to K's home.
Karthik's home. S and Maanga enter, welcomed by dour-faced K. Anitha is summoned and then Maanga gives her a shelling for her arrogant behaviour, which he says he should have curbed when she was young. (Well said but too late.) He also scolds A for having interfered in the KSM affair. Finally, he says if you don't go back to Arjun, he may be tempted to do the same "thappu" that your two brothers did! Freeze.

Feb 23, 2009 Update
RK lectures and chides his daughter, says Arjun is a sensible and a good guy, that she made a mistake by leaving him. Finally RK gives her an ultimatum saying either she can come with him to Arjun's house or decide what she wants herself. Anita decides to go with dad.
Arjun is waiting impatiently at his house peeing out of the window every now and then. Ting tong, the door bell rings, he answers the door only to see RK and Shanti, looks crestfallen. RK and Shanti talk to Arjun about Anitha. Arjun says he feels bad for all he has done to her, that he misses having Anitha around and all that. Feels Anitha may not come back at all. But RK and Shanti tell him to just call Anitha inside the house as she standing just outside the door. Arjun brings her inside. Both apologize and reconcile. Anitha apologises to Shanti and says she is "porumai sigaram" (What are we??), that she mistook her intentions.
RK and Shanti arrive back at the trust. RK goes talking to his wife, says he has solved one problem with her blessings, now he has another problem to solve, that of KSM. Shanti says its not right for her to live with K since M is the one who gave vaarisu to the family. She tells RK about the "thodatha manaivi" stuff. RK is shocked on hearing it (what, he did not know about it all these years!!!!!!!!!!!!). Shanti says M belongs to the family, asks RK to make a decision fast and reunite K with M.
RK is pondering, pondering, pondering. Flashback scenes about KSM. (What a waste of time).
Shanti and Manisha meet, both happy about AA. S wants M to be with K. M says there is a reason for her to stay with K. M tells S that Sameer is her brother. S is shocked. FREEZE.
Feb 24, 2009 Update
Manisha narrates flashback about Sameer (thankfully brief), how he was angry about her pregnancy and how he wanted her to terminate it. She also tells Shanti that Sameer was the one who attempted to kill Karthik and the only reason she is staying in the house is to prevent that. Shanti initially refuses to believe the whole story, but when Manisha tells Shanti that ACD is aware of it, she registers shock, but recovers enough to tell Manisha that if it is a question of safety for Karthik, then Manisha should stay with him forever and leaves.
Shanti in ACD's office. She confronts him about Manisha. After a little hesitation he finally accepts and says the department knew about Sameer and requests Shanti to ensure Manisha stays with Karthik until they catch Sameer. He says he originally did not have the right to ask Shanti this, but now that he is part of their family he wants Manisha to stay in K's house for his safety. Shanti is reassured and leaves. After she leaves ACD summons Insp. Ghani to his room and orders full police protection to be given for Shanti (I really could not reason out why suddenly this move!!!! But later in the episode I figured why.)
Shanti leaves office. The guy arranged by Srini/Abirami to pottutallify her is waiting in a main road with his truck, Shanti's photo in his hand, he is glancing at every vehicle passing by. Suddenly he sees Shanti's car pull up in front of him from a side road, and he starts chasing Shanti's car. Sherlock Shanti realizes something is wrong, tries to dodge. He chases, chases, chases, suddenly from no where a police jeep also joins the chase. At last the police get the better of the truck and corner the truck in a lonely lane, Ghani sees Shanti's photo in the truck and takes the driver back to Commissioner's office. Ghani also asks Shanti to come to the office to complete formalities.
Ghani produces the truck driver at ACD's office. He refuses to accept that he was indeed trying to kill Shanti. Finally after a dose of boxing from Ghani he accepts that it was an attempt to murder Shanti, and says he was paid an advance of INR 20,000 to finish the job. (Folks he did mention who paid him to do it, but I could not catch it, did not sound like Srini's name but). ACD calls Insp. Babu to finish the formalities.
Shanti is quite shocked that somebody tried to kill her again. ACD asks her to relax and reassures her about the safety measures provided to her. Both decide to keep this issue to themselves considering the current family situation. Shanti thanks ACD and leaves. ACD is thinking. FREEZE.
PS: Sukanya was wearing two different sarees today, how she managed to change them is beyond me!!!!!!!!!
Folks apologies for a brief update. Was on the phone and watching at the same time. If I've left out anything please feel free to add.
ACD and Insp. Ghani in discussion about the man involved in Shanti's attempted murder. ACD asks Ghani to follow on the man the lorry driver mentions. Meanwhile Babu comes with the formal report and ACD signs it and instructs an FIR to be filed.
Insp. Ghani, Babu and another person go to the seashore in search of the gunda (I did not get his name today either). After some initial questioning they finally locate him. He tries to flee, but finally falls flat and is taken into custody. He is produced in the station for further enquiry. ACD threatens to physically harass him and he blurts out Srini's name. Slightly shocked look on the faces of the police officers.
Srini is now brought for questioning. As usual he denies any involvement in the case, but afterwards says that it was Abirami who wanted Shanti dead.
Abirami is sitting by the pool side looking forlorn, the police come and take her into custody.
Charu comes to RK's house, looking very sad. Shanti is also there. She tells RK and Shanti that Abirami has been arrested. Feels bad for Abirami, that even though she had plenty of opportunity to change, she never used it. RK tries consoling her, but no use. She finally hands over some files to RK, requests him to take care of all business in India, and says that she is going in search of some mental peace.
Karthiks gets a call from Daddy dearest, who summons him to the trust immediately. Karthik gets into his car. Is watched by Sameer and simultaneously Insp. Babu is also watching him. Babu calls up ACD (face not shown, voice sounded like ACD's) to tell him Karthik is going out, ACD asks Babu to follow Karthik. Both Babu and Sameer are following Karthik. FREEZE.
February 26, 2009 Update
Scene 2: Karthik pulls into the trust asking his father why he called him so urgently. Shanti is also wondering why. Next comes Anitha in taxi. RK asks where Arjun is, Anita says he is on the way, and will be here soon. Then comes Priya in ACDs car, somebody drops her, followed by Rohini and then Manisha. Kalima and Rakki are there too.
RK finally says he has arrived at a decision about Karthik, and he hopes that his dead wife too would have stood by his decision. Then suddenly the police start coming in. ACD in civies (Maroon shirt, black pant and sneakers) arrives in a jeep. A whole battalion of cars and jeeps lined up outside the trust. The camera goes to the garden, then goes upstairs into the house, then room after room.
People gathered in the living room are unaware of police activities outside. RK is addressing the entire clan, says that neither Shanti nor Manisha have led a proper life with Karthik. Manisha says she is staying here for a reason, once its over, she will leave and wants K and S to lead a peaceful life. RK says this tussle has to end and somebody has to live with Karthik.
All this Sameer is watching from upstairs. He takes out his pistol from his waist and takes aim at Karthik and Shanti one by one. He finally steadies his aim on Karthik but before he fires ACD shoots him in the back and Sameer falls down. Sameer tries to collect his pistol from the floor, but ACD is too fast for him, he kicks the gun and stamps on Sameer's hand. He recollects how Alex Pandian was shot and is about to shoot Sameer again when Comm. Vincent arrives and instructs ACD to not kill Sameer as he could be the source of vital information. ACD spares Sameer's life and Insp. Ghani and Babu take Sameer away.
Downstairs the whole battalion is shell shocked. As Sameer is being dragged out, he stares and Manisha and his mother. RK is wondering what is happening. The police walk away without explaining anything. Manisha decides it is time she revealed the truth about Sameer, and tells everything. RK is shocked. M says this was the reason she stayed with K all along, now that Sameer is caught, she is ready to leave. She hands over Rakki to RK, thanks him. Thanks Anita profusely, and finally M&S paasa mazhai. FREEZE
