Thanks, Eljay. Yup, Roja. I guess Abhi will have the last laugh when she breaks the news about the Karthik-Manisha affair to Omni.
Btw, folks, I managed to watch a bit of Simran Thirai in which Saakshi Sivaa (ACD) stars and was shocked at how nobody seems to mind their own business. So it's not just in this serial that the likes of Madhan poke their noses into the Karthik-Shanthi relationship. Anyway, what shocked me in Simran Thira was that a doctor casually introduces the wife of a psychiatrist to the wife of the man the psychiatrist is treating and openly talks about the mental condition that the man is suffering from. This is not just an invasion of privacy but a gross lack of professional ethics. What was even more shocking was that nobody flinched at this invasion of privacy; the producers portrayed the discussion as an absolutely normal thing to do. When will our serials ever show up such grossly bad habits as bad traits?

Bon, we are a fairly large Indian community here, and yet I hesitate to go and see an Indian doctor, for precisely this reason. I would hate to think of my name coming up in some loose talk somewhere in someone's house.

Bonheur you are right about the privacy issue

beginning they show Priya is a family friend to ACD's wife

Priya's friend and doc Bala is a psychiatrist is treating ACD

Priya friends with both of them that's why she introduced Simaran to ACD's wife. they trust each other and know that Simran won't advertise this info to anyone. Bala talked to his wife (Simran ) about the patient.

Gee, Eljay. Does the breach of professional ethics by Indian doctors also happen in the US? That's really shameful.
Gossiping by doctors, Indian or otherwise, is, of course, understandable though despicable. But in Simran Thirai it wasn't gossip. The lady doctor openly speaks to a third party (the wife of the psychiatrist) in front of the wife of the man with a mental condition. This is not gossip. The lady doctor thinks it is acceptable behaviour!!! Shocking. I still can't digest it.
Kalki, it's not about the lady doctor and the patient's wife assuming that the psychiatrist's wife will keep the matter confidential. The issue is the lady doctor sharing the information publicly with the psychiatrist's wife in the presence of the mental patient's wife (though the psychiatrist did discuss the matter with his wife in private the night before; it also baffles me that the psychiatrist goes to the office the next day and tells the lady doctor what he had talked to his wife the day before. And, worse than that, the lady doctor thinks it's ok to tell the psychiatrist's wife that she knows what husband and wife had discussed in the bedroom the night before. Arrghh!!! )
Apologies to folks who don't watch Simran Thirai. I am not discussing the details of the serial, but just the fact that our serials don't show any respect for a person's privacy.

While we are still on this matter of the invasion of privacy, let me recount an incident that occurred some 15-16 years ago, when I was still a baby 😉 My sister and I were visiting Chennai and stayed in a crummy hotel, one of those that had an antiquated phone system. Well, one day, from our room, my sister called a friend in Bangalore to talk about our planned trip there and the friend suggested we make an air ticket booking through the hotel. Guess what? When we went down to the receptionist a few minutes' later to make our reservation, the very efficient receptionist preempted our request and said he had already taken note of our intention to travel to Bangalore! I must say he showed great pride in being able to preempt our request and there was no hint that overhearing our conversation was unconscionable.

Thanks for the blow-by-blow account of SKPD's escape, Eljay -- right down to how SKPD feigns sleep and the sentry gets thrashed. Sounds like an exciting episode. I suppose the headlights shining on SKPD are those of the jeep carrying AP and ACD. (Btw, where did he get the cash for the phone call. Also, the phone booth is in a deserted part of town. It's a wonder that it actually works in this day and age when everybody is carrying a cellphone around!)

Thanks Eljay - very detailed update - hmm I wish I had a
Nallan employed in CR's house - might get first hand info
on what the next episode will be!!!

As for SKPD 's escape , whose dream is that???
The only redeeming feature is - no serial on 2nd -
Gandhi ji kku jay jay - hmm - look at the irony - we
need Mahathma Gandhi to free us from this trash!!
