Thillalangadi confronting Abi - He blatantly charges her with
the murder of Nari - " considering your track records, we know
that u are capable of anything. We have evidence that just before
Nari died there was a woman loitering around the place..."
Abi refutes -" u are trying to connect all stray incidents, i am not
that kind of a person..." Thillalangadi asks the one Q that Roja
has in mind -" appo?? neenga entha mathiri?? Unga appa criminal
nnu therinja apram kooda, avar kooda thaane irukkenga?? U
are your dad's daughter... cool it baby, I will prove everything...
soon" Abi gives the same C.smirk and looks ..confused??
caught??? ( come on Abirami, the serial is ending soon, can't
u try to show some other expressions as well??? The serial
has been going on for over 4 years and u have managed with
just one emotion!!! Uh huh)

Maanga - can not sleep - visions of presiding Omni, Mani jaan
talking...- Rakhi comes there and finds out that thatha can not
sleep - starts talking like a 90 yr old "thatha, why are u not asleep?"
Thatha thinks about Rakhi not calling baggage
daddy... but tells grandson that he is not able to sleep -"unnai
pathi than, thinking" Ripe old Rakhi comforts - "I am alright nnu
doctor sollittare.... I will press your forehead, u sleep" Just short
of singing "aararro...aariraro..." Rakhi presses maanga to sleep.
Morning - maanga sees grandson sleeping by his side.... Nallan
gets a private view..... decides that it is time to play Sherlock
Holmes...." why ayya is so affectionate to Rakhi... ennamO irkkuthu...

Ramya brings food for akka - akka eats heartily and praises the food.
Ramya compliments akka for withstanding all the agony

some saris (Eljay CR heard u - loud and clear😉) Abi thanks
sis - Ramya returns the favor - thanks akka for allowing to

Thillalangadi is met by an officer from Delhi -"Sir, ungalai parkka
Karam Chand has come" - "oh apdiya? bring him with your karam
(kaiyoda koottitu vaa nu Roja translate panra) Karam Chand comes
and recites Manisha's history -" 2 brothers..ammi jaan is Kalima...
now in Madras...Mani jaan has a kid out of wedlock...kashmir Tourism
board le job....." The info we need to know is that AP construes that
Sameer has no connections with his family and is a full time terrorist -
ammi jaan and Mani won't go behind the bars or even tortured by the
police in the name of enquiry -

PP and presiding - dining table - PP is not eating properly. Charu
probes "enna athai?? Oor le ellar problems um na thaan solve panren,
eavesdropping, breaking the promise nnu ella tricks um

PP says that SKPD is a rogue alright but she would like to see
him - " nowadays, u even get to know if the baby in the womb is
a boy or girl but there is no machine to find out if the baby is good
or bad. I made him fund the trust and educate a lot of kids.Apdiyaavathu

him..." Omni promises to arrange for a cootchi cooing session " jail le poi

ACD - amma kku thithi..... paraphernalia in place... JC and Shankar

ACD continues the oona maasigam - monthly rites during the first year - soga Priya, appa and the purohit are focussed....then focus on ACD -konjam konjama ACDyoda 'thudikira' eyes varaikkum zoom..zoom ..zoom...

Srini visits Abi, who is wearing a red saree ( donot know what she wore on thursday). She is very angry with Srini - "I came out with my kattina pudavai ( Eljay your posts have been definitely read by the creative team) and u didn't bother to care about me after the hurried first vist." Srini gives an excuse that he went into hiding cause the police were targetting the near and dear ones and didn't want more trouble for sammandhi amma and aiya. Abi seems to accept that. She gives a jolt to Srini that AP is now accusing her of mudering Nari. Srini also gets suspicious and asks her the truth. But Abi tells vehemently that she had no connection with that. Srini is relieved and promises to get in touch with the supreme court lawyer. Abi has another worry now- Kanakku's case is coming for final hearing and judgement awaited. Srini comforts her and leaves.

At the court - Kanakku is brought. Madhavi and her periamma/periappa are there. Public Prosecutor argues Kanakku has been changing his stand depending on the situation and is 'udandhai' for OKS murder and the driver's confession is enough proof of that. Kanakku accepts his crime. Judge slaps 14 years imprisonment. Kanakku is led away. ACS says Kanakku has not only put 'mannu' on his own head, but also on his daughter, who would attain marriageable age when Kanakku comes out of jail and who would want to marry a murderer's daughter. Periamma & periappa feel sorry they were misled by Abirami. Kanakku cries.

PP comes visiting SKPD. SKPD turns his face. PP cries and gives lot of paasa dialogues- Sogam BG. SKPD blames PP for all his misery - that she spared the rod when he was young ( ada nalla kadaiya irukke!!!). Paavam PP - paati vayasana kaalathula ungalukku ethanai mana kastam. She cries for both son and grand daughter - naan idhellam parthuttu en uyiroda irukkanum? Magan also wonders aloud why. PP kku idhukku mela enna venum? She leaves heart broken. SKPD shows little sadness after his mother leaves - freeze.

August 19th, Tuesday:

PP leaves the jail premises and is seen going by her car with her hand on her head.

Ex omni( innikku romba azhaga irundha, enakku pidichidu - andha saree and green blouse romba nalla irundhadhu) and baggage with Indu go for shopping. Shanthi selects few dresses for Indu ( guess the size was smaller- but nichayama Shreya has no competition) , Karthik appadiye nicea goes to Boy's section and selects a shirt obviously for Rocky. Shanthi and Omni at the cash counter , Karthik sends them to the car and pays the bill. As he is leaving, the salesperson gives him another bag ( thevai illama edhukku sandhegam kilapanum? - ulleye check panni marachu eduthuttu varama idhu enna?) Shanthi is curious and Karthik has to say that he followed Indu's custom???? of buying a dress for Rocky. Shanthi seems to be half convinced.

Abi in her hotel room - same red saree. RK (no more Maanga) comes visiting her. She invites him in. Inikku than mama romba nalla advise pannaru ex marumagalukku👏👏👏. He asks her idhellam unakku thevaiya? Stop ur pazhi unarchi, dvesham etc and start trusting people; by your behaviour you are upsetting and giving sorrow to others around you like Ramya; the world is full of good people and reform etc. He leaves saying that is door is always open for her. The same look on Abi's face and I assumed she is considering his advice😃

Now the main scene:

ACD is wheeling himself around. Priya not in sight. He looks at his reflection in the mirror and the mirror transforms into a screen , where he sees his past starting from his grand entry into the serial -Giri started singing 'Singai nadai pottu sigarathil eru😆 and voila the next shot was the one where he came down a hill in full speed; Jeevan's encounter and other shots where he salutes his superiors and his subordinates salute him. He manages to get up very slowly and we hear the 'jaipadhu nijam' BG😉. Priya who is seen bringing a drink, stops and looks at his effort with lot of edhirparppu and thavippu. He loses his balance. Priya drops the cup and runs to his support and stops his fall. Not romantic, but love? yes. She reiterates her faith in her prayers and says he is going to become the gambeera AC Durai again. He brims with confidence.

Kanakku is handed over to the jail SP. Same formalities done to Kanakku as SKPD and Kanakku number is 176? As Kanakku is taken to his cell, SKPD calls out and seems to be pleased. He says he is grateful , has to do a lot to Kanakku. Kanakku's silent reply - unnai kolla than marupadi jailukke vandhu irukken ( do we expect SKPD to die or Kanakku himself gets pottu thallified inside?😕)

Soldier mama comes to Raji trust and gives the new dress to Rocky. RK is watching this from inside. Rocky calls thatha and ammijaan to show the dress. Karthik gives his usual look and we are supposed to understand he is embarrased??? RK gives a very meaningful look at Karthik. Freeze on RK

August 20th, Wednesday:

Giri is depressed , don't know exactly when it started - after watching the episode or thinking about the updates.

Rocky shows the dress to all. RK gives a questioning look at sonny darling and the soldier samalichufies that he is carrying on the tradition of Indu. Rocky thanks and runs away. Soldier mama also leaves.

Priya visits Shanthi and gives her the updates of ACD.

Manisha comes to Raji trust and Rocky shows her the dress. RK chips in that Karthik bought it w/o knowing the truth. Manisha has a dhiduk - aiyo kadhai kandhal aagidume, decides to do something.

Shadow and Anitha. Anitha serves nei pongal and sambar. Shadow edho joke adikararu, Anitha moraikara.. (Shadow thattula paaadhi pongal waste pannittu ezhundu poitaaru - why don't you all take only how much you want 😡?) They then worry about Manisha, that she has been aloof lately. They take a number count of who all came to know about the Kar - Man - Rocky link. Arjun finally decides to call Mani and clarify - but the mobile is switched off. Anitha feels something is terribly wrong.

Manisha is sitting in the beach manal.( Marupadiyum Anandham producers beach leasela eduthutaanga.) Soldier comes and happily talks about Rocky, dress and so on. Mani interrupts - "stop meeting me or Rocky, we are going away ( idhe 3 vaarama solra... eppo poga poralo theriyalaiye!) Don't create troubles for Shanthi." Manijaan leaves. (Eljay, Mani had her sandals, but en creepers mela kashtappattu nadandu pona theriyalai)

Karthik returns back home and feels bad facing wife. Shanthi enquires about his meeting and the missed calls. He tries to give some excuse. She wonders from where she heard the sound of waves - freeze

Aug 21, Thursday:

Shanthi is still visaranai seidhufying hubby bondhu. Same expression from Karthik. We are to understand that he is angry with her for treating him like a 'sandhega case visaranai kaidi'. She polambifies that she has no sandhegam till now, only he is not kandufying her properly. He goes and locks himself in his room. (Shanthima, did you take ur mobile?)

Srini comes to see SKPD. Assures him all arrangements for his comfortable stay inside jail premises are done. Joker Srini becomes a thathuva gnyani and SKPD is impressed and neguzhndufies- tears in eyes. SKPD enquires about Abi and Srini says he has consoled and comforted paapa. Also briefs about Abi being implicated in Nari's murder. SKPD gets worked up. But Srini calms him down and says first SKPD has to come out and he is arranging for appeal in Supreme court and will take care of all the financial needs. SKPD thanks him with a kumbidu.

Manijaan and ammijaan in one corner of the house - same discussions about leaving(pogavum maatanga, pecchaiyum nirutha maatanga;namma uyira mattum edupaanga)

Nallan overhears part of their convesation and finds out that they are amma and ponnu.

JC comes to meet commish and informs him about the financial help extended by Srini to SKPD. Commish asks JC to dhoosi thattufy pazhaya cases of Srini and divert his attention.

Ex Omni meets Madhan mama and polambifies about soldier mama. Madhan says you are expecting too much from Karthik - adhan prachanai, vera onnum illai ( ada konka makka!) Madhan drops 4 kg ice on Shanthi's head - you have been a friend sister mother etc etc to Karthik and showered so much on him - aiyo ennake jaladhosham thangalai. Shanthi ellathaiyum sandhoshama ethukittu, again starts polambifying - that Karthik has been behaving oddly after his visit RK regarding Abi. Finally Madhan agrees to talk to Karthik. Slow motion zoom on Shanthi's face - freeze

CR is hearing us ...?

Asharam. [Chirpy background melody; kudos to best TV MD awardee Kiran.] RK comes in and looks for Nallan to fetch him some water. Maid says Nallan is in the kitchen and she will go get the water. Nallan is in the kitchen talking to himself. Having just discovered the relationship between Manisha, he boasts that the two women can't cheat him for long. He says he will reveal their secret to Aiyah. Maid comes in and says she is getting Aiyah water. Nallan grabs the opportunity, shoos her away and takes in water for Aiyah himself. But he stutters and stammers when trying to introduce the topic to Aiyah. Finally, after prompting, Nallan reveals what he knows but in rather incoherent fashion. RK is of course shocked that Nallan knows but he covers up and coolly says Nallan's incoherence is due to the fact that he is getting involved in matters that don't concern him. Told to mind his own business, Nallan is surprised at RK's reaction and tells himself that he will be at peace only if he shares the information with someone.

Scene 2. Madhan's home. [More happy notes and chords to perk up the viewer.] Enter ... Rohini, after a long hiatus. Offers to make juice for undeserving hubby and disappears into kitchen. In comes Madhan's co-adulterous brother. Madhan had summoned Karthik to give him a thrashing about Omni's unhappiness with his recent behaviour. Baggage maintains nothing is wrong. He had just met an old friend and had dinner with him, so he declined Omni's food and that made her think he was neglecting her. Plus she must have annoyed him with questions while he was busy with office work (news to me; Baggage seems to be perpetually out of work and dependent on wife, who also doesn't seem to be visiting the office anymore). Rohini enters with two glasses of juice (note: Rohini must have super ears; when Karthik first entered, her juice blender was working full throttle, so one wonders how she knew hubby was having a visitor). She adds her two cents' worth about the importance of communication between husband and wife. Actually, CR is using her as a mouthpiece to tell Indian families that there must be more communication. Rohini says many cases would not hit the Family Courts if there had been more communication. Madhan adds that it was lack of communication between him and wife regarding the latter's career aspirations that had led to a needless 1 1/2 year separation between them. Madhan offers to be go-between if Karthik needs one between him and Omni. Finally, Baggage cryptically says "What has happened to you has happened to me too," and leaves. Madhan and Rohini are puzzled; Rohini says there is something deeper in that cryptic statement.

Nallan, bursting with his new discovery, makes his appearance at the home of ... none other than Omni. [Why can't servants stop being busybodies.] Nallan initially stutters and stammers but finally says one can put a veil over one's head but not over a relationship. Omni is puzzled. Nallan then reveals the truth about Manisha-Kalima. Stunned, Omni asks whether RK knows. Nallan says yes but he isn't bothered or interfering in any way. Nallan stresses that he is sharing the info with Omni out of family loyalty. He incites Omni's concern by adding, if Mother and daughter can hide something as important as a relationship, who knows what else they are hiding.

When Nallan has left, Omni calls up Anitha and first sarcastically praises her for being sly. [Not sure whether I am capturing the nuances; the word she used was "samathyasali". From the context, I gather she meant sly or smart.] Continues praising her for being smart, patient and capable of confidentiality. Anitha is of course puzzled by Omni's sarcastic tone. Omni goes on noting that Anitha had hidden the fact that Rocky was Manisha's son for 6 long years. Anitha wonders why Omni is repeating things that have now come out in the open and are well known. To her shock, Omni then accosts her with the truth about Kalima and Manisha. Omni asks Anitha whether she knew about the relationship. Anitha is dumbstruck. Omni keeps pressing for an answer but nada. Omni says Anitha's silence is arousing her suspicion. Finally, unable to respond, Anitha just hangs up the phone. Arjun comes in just then and Anitha shares her concern with him. Arjun is also concerned lest Omni finds out about Karthik. He instructs Anitha to go to the Asharam immediately as Omni is likely to head there and speak to RK. He says he will stay behind as he may blabber the truth and Anitha had better head there and discuss with RK what to do and handle the matter sensitively. Brace yourselves for some drama at the Ashram on Monday, folks.

ACD being wheeled into the physiotherapy clinic with Priya dutifully in tow. Physiotheraphist looks into ACD's case file and says he is confident that ACD will be back on his feet as soon as they begin treatment (hmm, wonder why treatment had been delayed for so long). As physio speaks, ACD glances not once but twice at his beloved for assurance. (Folks, that's the only romance we'll get). Finally, a walker is brought to ACD and he stares at it for a while before slowly getting up and starting to move with it. Soon, we are treated to changes of costume to show frequency of visits to phsyio clinic. ACD had come in with orange T-shirt and veshti. Orange soon becomes black and finally the veshti changes to Adidas track pants. ACD sets foot on a small stepper machine and then the jaypadhu nijam tune strikes up as he slowly walks on it. Freeze on ACD in his dashing sportsman avatar.

ACD is shown undergoing physical therapy with therapist.

A very angry ex-Omni strides into RK's illam and confronts Kalima near the door. She aks her who she is and then follows up saying she knows everything! She rattles off Rocky's name, then Manisha's and then Kalima. As she is talking to her RK comes along and proceeds to yell at him too, "Ungalukku onnum theriyaadu". RK looks very pathetic and almost cries. Ex-Omni tells him that Kalima has been fooling him. Just then Anitha arrives (more the merrier, right?) Ex-Omni gives her a super-glaring look. Anitha explains that after talking to ex-Omni on the phone, she correctly guessed that she would come here and that's why she was there too. Anitha has planned it out and proceeds to weave a neat story. She tells ex-Omni that Manisha's lover was an Army man too and had apparently died in battle 6 years ago. Manisha & Kalima came to know of this only recently. That's why they had kept everything under wraps until now. RK is shocked, like, why didn't I think of that? Ex-Omni buys the story and says sorry to Kalima, who is silent the entire scene! Ex-Omni leaves and RK pats Anitha as they watch ex-Omni leave.

A lawyer is in his house when his servant informs him that someone has come to see him - its Abirami & Srinivasan. Srinivasan flatters the Supreme coiurt lawyer and thanks him for agreeing to take on SKPD's case. Lawyer mouths a bit about his achievements and then tells them that after going over SKPD's case he cannot take it on since he will not be on the side of truth & the right. Abi & Srini are shaken and leave.

Ex-Omni is stting at home deep in thought when Karthik arrives. She breaks the news of that she knows who is Manisha's lover. Karthik hesitantly asks who and ex-Omni repeats what Anitha told her..Army man loved her and then died... Karthik mazhuppifies and says it happened to him too! Ex-Omni is confused momentarily and Karthik says he meant he knew someone who had died and then the family was informed only much later. He adds that unless the body is found the family is informed late, to which ex-Omni wonders if Manihsa's lover may still be alive. Karthik hesitates agains and says, yes, its possible. He then quickly tells ex-Omni to stop meddling & worrying about other people's lives and walks away, leaving her surprised.

Kanakku has a shovel in his hand and is digging something while working with another jail inmate. A policeman is seated in the background and watching. In front of Kanakku SKPD arrives and causally sits at a small verandah. Kanakku spots SKPD and flashback of AP telling Kanakku that SKPD arranged for his wife's death. The other inmate spots Kanakku eyeing him and comments that even though everyone has been sentenced, if you have money like SKPD you can escape any real work. By the time the inmate steps away and returns Kanakku makes up his mind and runs with the shovel towards SKPD who is looking away. (Ingathaan direction sahikkalai.) Instead of hitting SKPD on his head, Kanakku aims for his right shoulder. SKPD & Kanakku have a small fight with Kanakku managing to not really hit SKPD! Policemen arrive and haul away Kanakku. SKPD then wonders if Kanakku did not become a police witness just to kill SKPD in jail.

Charu madam's house and main hall phone rings. PP is walking toward it when she pauses and swoons and falls down. Maid servant rushes over and Charu spots them from the stairs. She instructs the servant who steps away while Charu is holding PP.
Freeze.

PP falls down - maid and Charu in attendance - the doctor is
summoned - "vayasu aachu illiya athaan" - doctor gives his
verdict and would like to move PP to the hospital but PP does not
want to move out of DIL's house - "Muthu, pls do not move me
out of this house, do not allow me to die in a remote hospital".
Doctor does a 360 - "my nurse will stay here and take care, pls do
not do any thing that PP does not like"

Anitha and shadow - Anitha tells shadow that she had to lie to
Shanthi. Shadow acts as Roja's representative - "how long are u
planning to hide this??? I have lost my patience (exactly our
sentiments shadow!!!! ranga raatinam le suthi suthi thalai suthi
PP mathiri most of us are in bed!!!) Anitha says that both Manijaan
and ex omni are good people -" even if Manijaan goes away, will
ex forgive baggage?" Shadow says that baggage has done some
thing unpardonable and ...." I cant stand this.. I might break the
news to ex...soon" Anitha is desperate ( amma di at last oru
nalla kaariyam panni viewers kku relief kudukka rennu solraan
un purushan, keduthu dathe thayee.... intha carousel ride ai niruthi
ye aaganum....Roja runs behind shadow and directs him to
ex omni.. go go go go go go ...)

JC gets a call from the jailor - attack on SKPD is discussed.
JC smartly arrives at the conclusion that kanakku had ulterior
motives when he decided to choose prison. Advises the jailor
to move kanakku to a different jail.

PP looks very sick - doctor asks presiding to "manasai thethufy".
PA Madan is giving company. Consoles Charu - and Charu talks
as if PP is gone -" me and her did not have the proverbial MIL-DIL
relationship. She has done a lot to me. She was hoping that her
son will reform...."was???? so PP kku bye bye solla poraangalaa???
waiting for this Friday????

Abi with her lawyer - discussing kanaku - "my dad has done so
much to this guy. Viswasam illai??? why sothanais queue and
march one behind the other??? That Supreme court lawyer refused
to defend my innocent dad!!! An advocate should be able to
get a criminal out as well!! Why choose this profession and
talk about neethi and nermai???" The lawyer says that the right
amount of money can buy another expert lawyer -Abi confirms
that it is just SKPD's money which has been frozen -"Abi has
enough money, look for an excellent lawyer"

SKPD is told by a jail warden that PP is in death bed -SKPD laments
that he is not able to take care of "petha thai" - "enna paavam panninen??
( athu sari, nee panninathu ellam paavamaa puuniiyamaa nnu innum
decide pannaliyaa??) The warden says that there is a chance for
SKPD to go on parole.... SKPD is back to being his ownself after a
momentary flip - thinks "oh??appo veliye poga oruvazhi irukka?" -
the list is getting ready -first victim yaaru?? ellarum crystal ball ai
eduthu shoot your predictions.

AC Shankar brings Nari's cousin - obviously, this guy is trusted by
Nari - Nari has registered the Coonor estate in this guy's name.
JC and Shankar frame him for Nari's murder - " u met Nari 2 days
before he died. You wanted to get the estate for yourself and so u
hreatened him. he refused and so you killed him.." the fellow
frets and says that he did meet Nari but for different reasons -
"I was scared to keep the income from the estate and so I took
it to him. I asked him to take back the estate as well. He finally
agreed" - ACS has an excellent Q -"are u talking the truth??"
(athu sari....Roja if u want to laugh, u can - apram PP sethu poitta
3 nalaikki mourning observe pannanum!!) JC asks ACS about the
otherbenamis of Nari - ACS says that all of them are very poor.
JC talks about a woman being involved and ACS says that AP
doubts Abi - "he met her and did an inquiry" - JC wants ACS to
proceed in that direction -"we may solve this case soon"
( ninaippu thaan pizhappai kedukkum!!! solve??/ soon??
how soon is soon?? Uh huh)

Baggage recalls ex omni's conversation - tells himself that he can
not repeat Madan's thiruvilaiyadal - " can not ride both horses at

Shanthi is feeding Indu bf when Baggage comes by looking glum. He has his bf too but is not very communicative. When he finishes by washing his hand right at the table, Indu kutti admonishes him by reminding that he had cautioned her not to do that at the table! Shanthi too watches and must be wondering what happened. He leaves home with Indu telling everyone (us) that he would drop her at school before heading to work. (Wait a minute! Baggage is supposed to be an Army man. You don't go to 'work' without a uniform, that too at your own time! What's CR sar trying to show? Tchch.)

Baggage lands up Kashmir at Tourism office and hesitantly (so unbecoming an Army man) starts asking the receptionist for "Mrs..", then corrects himself, "Manisha madam irukaangalaa"? Receptionist enquires why he wants to meet her - seriously, this scene was hilarious. Receptionist was questioning him like a suspect! lol Anyway, he replies that its a family matter, then again corrects himself that his family was going to travel and that's why he needed to meet her. Receptionist calls up somone, ostensibly Manisha's boss, and informs Baggage that she was out on work and won't be back for at least 2 hours. Some more muted conversation and Baggage leaves.

ACD is getting therapy from a speech therapist out in the lawn/garden area, while his appa and Priya look on. Only therapist talks, instructing ACD to open his mouth and move his toungue around. Priya smiles. (Illaina? Kadaichadhu orey scene. Sidu moonji irukkaama, smile panninaa nallaa thaaney irukkum.) He also seems to instruct ACD's appa. More instructions are given to ACD and therapist leaves.

Baggage stops his car at a petrol bunk and instructs someone to fill up for 500 Rs. Manisha is shown sitting in a taxi at the same bunk! (Oorala evalavu petrol bunk irukku, anaa rendu paerum orey bunk-la sandikka vaaypu! (Nagesh from Thiruvilayaadal: Adhu eppadi, adhu eppadi?) Of course, Baggage has to finally spot Manisha and walk over. He tells her that he has to talk to her for the sake of Shanthi and Manisha steps out from her taxi. They walk over to the side and Baggage explains that he had been thinking of her and that he remembered that she didn't want to talk to him anymore. He says that he heard from Shanthi that Anitha and Manisha's mom had plotted a story and convinced Shanthi that Manisha had just learnt that her Army man lover had died 6 years ago. He tells Manisha that he wanted make sure that if Shanthi met and questioned her she would know this story and not say anything wrong to make Shanthi's life miserable! While this "heavy" dialogue is going on, guess who drives up to the same bunk?! .. Arjum. It takes him very little time to spot Baggage and Manisha and he watches them from a distance. He makes sure they don't spot him and watches them leave separately.

Arjun comes home and inform Anitha of seeing Baggage & Manisha talking at the bunk. Anitha is worried and discusses with Arjun how Manisha must have told Baggage about Rocky earlier. She is worried that Manisha never told them about meeting Baggage, despite her promise to not meet Baggage again. After all, since Rocky is Baggage's true vaaris , unlike Indhu, he has a stronger blood bond with Manisha & Karthik than he would have with Shanthi & Indhu. Also, Baggage & Manisha have a relation based on feelings and not like the social obligation based relation with Shanthi. Both work up their anger and Arjun barges out of home promising to beat up Baggage.

SKPD's lawyer meets withi him in jail. He says that the Supreme court lawyer backed out, but Abhi is not one to lose heart. Then the lawyer beckons and tells SKPD hush-hush that he had come to tell him something important. He had heard that the police are preparing to charge SKPD with sedition, based on the recording of Sameer's phone call to SKPD. SKPD is confused and worried on how the police could do that. The lawyer asks SKPD if he remembered the phone call and SKPD starts off, "Hello. I am Sameer, Joe's friend....", and the lawyer stops him. The reference to Joe was the point the police are going to use, the lawyer says. The police had prior evidence - photos, etc., of SKPD's link with Joe, which they could not use in court earlier. Now they can use that to link up SKPD with Sameer and since Sameer attempted to kill a police officer, that made SKPD a desa-drohee. SKPD thinks and tells the lawyer to do his best and get him out, or else he would get out himself. Laywer agrees to let him know soon. A couple of zoom-in-zoom-out shots of SKPD's face.

August 28, Thursday:

Ex Omni is cutting brinjal, someone presses the calling bell - someone from Baggage's office( endha officela ivar work panrar? naan kooda Arjun oda partner Baggagennu nenachittu irundhen? angerndhu kazhandaaccha?) He has come with files to get autograph of baggage. Ex is shocked - but not ready to lose her image/name in front of the employee - enkitte sollittu than vera engeyo ponar.. files ingeye irukkattum... veetukku vandhu sign panna solren. Employee leaves.

Anitha meets Manijaan on mottai maadi and gives a rudra thandavam- how dare you meet Karthik? Engitte solla vedama? Repeat dialogues from Mani. Extrava Karthikkoda sandhippu(s) patri. Mani now points index finger at Anitha for the third meeting - nee Shanthi kitte sonna poi pathi warn panna Karthik vandhaar. Rockyoda koodiya seekiram naan kilambiduven...( adhe pallavi)

Now the camera shifts to some greener area - Arjun dons the rudra role and Karthikai adikaada kurai. Rendu perum maathi maathi thatthuvam pesaraanga. Oru sample - velvi thee yanalum viragu thee yanalum thee sudum( aiyo aiyo.. Giri... innum konja naal than...) Baggage now feels like Bheeshmar on ambu padukkai( ada paavi Bheeshmarai kooda vidalaiya?) and gives a urukkamana speech starting from his Kashmir days and ends with how he feels guilty infront of Shanthi and unable to answer her queries and so on . Baggage also indicates that if he had know about Mani being pregnant, he would n't have accepted Shanthi in the f irst place. Now he is struggling between thaali kattaadha manaivi( appuram eppadi manaivi?), appanu solla mudiyadha pullai on one side ; thodadha manaivi , ratha sambandham illadha ponnu on the other side. Baagage leaves after having thoroughly confused Arjun also.

We see ACD doing his exercises in his room. Priya comes asking if he wants something to drink. He signals with his hand. She gives a nod and leaves - I never understood if he asked her to bring a drink or 'poi tholai'.

We see Thava Karthik and Cheyyar are friends and so are his assistants - so rest of the time flash back of ACD in action.
