The article proves one thing for sure. C-2005 was possibly fully Gyan's idea as its next series had the same signature and Gajji took all the accolades. Gajji made Lil Champs last series which also showed degradation in quality and now more degradation. This proves that as director he has failed.

Bhaskar, while it might be true that C2005 was Gyan's idea, the old SRGM remains GS' idea and that remains a fact. Another fact is that when things seem to be going wrong for you, everyone turns against you and starts claiming credit. So we might never know the full story. Ofcourse GS has gone terribly and completely wrong with this show and am really dreading the kids' VOI ... i dont want to see the kids being subjected to this.

But all this drama seems to have started with public voting and the greed for more money. This seems to be the root cause of all GS' troubles! I just wish he had stuck to the old format whether with SRGMP on Zee or VOI on Star * sighs *

He also says in the interview that all the light arrangements, anchor placings etc were his and Gajji only came when everything used to be ready... I would say, look at what happened with Zee Cinestars after Gajji was discarded... The show fell flat on its face... It had some of the wierdest camera angles and editing that made the show so irritating to watch... Zee Cinestars Season 1 was absolutely an amazing show and remains my favorite reality show till date - it was such well conceived and directed - brilliant... The second season was not even a faint shadow of it... So I would not just blame Gajji for everything, he has done some great work in the past and maybe VOI just fell into the law of averages for him... The channel could also have a hand in it - you dont know how much a channel allows him to practise his ideas... I hope he will do better in the next series...

There is something unsavoury about this article. I read it earlier today and couldn't articulate my feeling.

ASVOI is probably the most disastrous show that GS has produced. However, the interview has this quality of kicking someone when they are down and out and that quality leaves us with an unpleasant feeling about Gyan Sahai.

GS is not the only person in the world with a large ego and a sense of self-importance. Unfortunate but true. Nor the only one who has made a bad show after several good ones. The relative quality of Zee Little Champs would have been counter enough, but now an interview like this detracts from that quality.

I strongly believe that in the long run, you can tell doodh from pani, and so there is no need for anyone to publicly denounce another.

I feel having the idea is not enough, implementation is the main thing. Even Greg Chapell had lot of ideas, but when it came to implementation, we all know the disastrous results. Split in the team, players not talking to each other, groupism, favoritism, most successful captain dropped after he scored a century. Actually, Greg was given too much power by the authorities. But when they realized that this guy was acting like a supremo they kicked him out. And we see better results.

Same is the case with GS. Zee had too much faith in him without knowing that he was actually an empty vessel sounding too much. When Zee realized their fault, GS was kicked out, and we have a cleaner show.

The contribution of GS was "OK, lets do a show where we will have singers competing against each other". But how do we do it? I don't know, ask Gyan, Sonu and other technical guys. I am only responsible for the concept of the show and taking credits. 😃

I can't just take away everything from GS. Sorry. I was also solely responsible for one more thing. Creating drama, causing fake fights, and causing fake walkouts.

We have all seen the ACTUAL CALIBRE of GS in VOI. It has no rules, no decorum, no direction, and no authentic results. GS is the person who had a tie between Nihira and Hemu out of millions of votes. I also think there was a similar situation in VOI too. So, voting results are fake too. The show totally SUCKS. Isn't that enough to prove that GS is worthless.

The only good thing about the show are its singers. Most of them are fantastic, and I feel sorry for them. They just got entangled in such a crappy show with an airhead director and mentors who acts like hooligans.

This is called "eating the crow". When you have a show with TRP ratings of 2, you don't have any other option other than kissing the feet of someone who can raise the TRP.

Actually the audience is so disgusted with the show that celebrities like Sanjay Bhansali, Rani, Sonu, newest heartthrobs Ranbir and Sonam, and other bigshots couldn't even pull it up.

Did you all see Gyan giving out any interview earlier. NO!!! Fact is Zee and Gyan maintained a dignified behaviour even when Gajji went on attacking the other show through VOI. Gyan gave this interview after Zee CEO gave his. Even that was posted in this setcion few weeks back. Even the Zee CEO said almost the same thing that Gajji had become too arrogant so was THROWN OUT of Zee and the story that gajji gave that he left is all false.

If Gajji had kept quiet and instead of bashing the other show had kept to his own these interviews would not have come out. They all kept quiet. But Gajji has crossed limits while attacking them. Even went ahead to call other shows as Noise of India. Disgusting!!!

👏

Very well said. Yes the story of Gajendra is the same. He too was thrown out by Zee.

Yes feel really sad for these singers. Worse part is they did not even get good offer except for Irfan now after elimination. What are the MD's sitting there doing????

This sentence of yours reminds me of the past not so long ago when SVOI took off and the judges (well some of them) left no opportunity to bad mouth the other show. Adesh, and Abhijitda were very vocal then that when there are so much of talent in India why bring talent from outside...remember that....well correct me if I am wrong, but a US citizen is also a videshi technically, right?😉 If that is so, then how come Adesh offered a song to Mauli Dave to record when he had so many ghar ki talents here..?

Hmmm...?

Arre Bhaskar, pahele in music directors ko to koi kaam mile, after that they can think about these contestants.

When a music director has only one film in hand, then that film becomes very very important for him. In that case they cannot afford to take any chances with these new comers. They will have to use the best and the most renowned in the business.

And how can you expect anything from these mentors. They have nothing to do in their own fields, so one of them decided to do thumka in a reality show. But this guy has no dedication at all, and on top of that is extremely arrogant. So, the result is, he gets kicked out in the very first episode.😆

Another one started another reality show where he sings with a television actress. Abhijit on the other hand might not have seen the recording studio in a long time. So, has to spend most of his time on third grade stage shows abroad. Just wait for another drama with Abhijit in VOI. He is coming to US on the first week of November for shows.

well IMHO they cud've and shud've defended themselves at that very point ... there's nothing wrong in defence during an attack.

but na they waited to make sure GS' show is at its worst point and then spoke up which is why i am not so sure abt this whole 'who gets credit' thing ...

and no i am not condoning or supporting GS (gajendra singh 😆 he he he 😆 just realised Gyan Sahay is also GS 😆) in this at all ... i just feel the timing of this interview was such that it intended to hit hard where it matters most
