| Anil Mirani Harshad Chopra who used to play Akshat has been replaced by Ali Merchant as the former had some contractual problem . Hence Ali who has earlier acted in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii has stepped in. Says Ali, "I am quite happy to be part of a show that is not about saas bahu." Does he envisage a problem getting into Harshad shoes?, "I don't think so, as the character is always more important then the actor," he feels. Ali who plays Amber Dhara's best friend says that unlike the rest of the world, he regards both of them as separate individuals. "Although I have no romantic feelings toward either of them, Amber has started to fall for me," he informs . Here Kashmira refused to comment on the possible liaison between their characters. "You will just have to wait and find out", she quipped. Both the girls said that unlike what people think it's not just a matter of being joined at the hips. "We have to think like conjoined twins to get the correct emotions. Its was not easy, but the months of training has finally paid off. Just walking in this manner takes a toll on our back," say the duo giving full marks to the production for "taking proper care of us. We are repeatedly asked to sit down between shoots." Being new to showbiz, the duo was not willing to give more details about what the future holds for their characters . All they said was "There will be lot more twists and turns." |
The night-time shooting was disturbed due to unseasonal rains. So certain outdoor shots were delayed. Also having the media on set made matters worse. The electronic guys made Amber Dhara and Prashant keep repeating Happy Diwali for their respective channels.
Finally when the shooting did start, a number of retakes were needed to shoot Amber Dhara coming out of the car for they were joined. The director lost his cool a bit when some people started walking in the line of shooting. Even Ali had some problems with his scene.
Shweta Gulati who plays the bitchy Sonia wished all Screen readers a happy Diwali and prosperous new year. Coming to her character, she says, "Sonia is a big bitch . But she has a reason to be angry with the twins, for her love Akshat likes them." Gulati further hoped that the show will continue to remain different. "See, this also depends on the audience, if they like our stuff, why would we change?" she reasoned.
The show is also set to welcome veteran actress Himani Shivpuri who will enter as Akshat's Nani. Amber and Dhara also regard her as their nani. Himani is happy to be a part of this show "as it's a very lovely and sweet character. Both Kashimra and Shaguna are very nice girls, it will be blast working on this set ," she concluded
