Call it the 'secret code' or mere curiosity value. Sony is certainly leaving no stone unturned for their upcoming show Amber Dhara. The show based on conjoined twins and their journey from the small town of Panchgani to Mumbai. The true identity of Amber Dhara has been kept under such tight wraps by the channel that the lead actors, who play Siamese twins in the show, did not even make an appearance at the press meet.

The production house has been shooting in Panchgani and also at a studio in Madh Island. The new girls of the show have been barred from meeting people including their family. However, the family members are allowed to meet them secretly. Both the girls are 23 years of age and will only make a public appearance in the show's first episode.

It has been a tough time for the new actors as they have been living in confinement for the past eight months. "They have been given Hindi music CDs, DVDs and books for their recreation. Needless to say, they crave for company and even broke down on several occasions. The production house is trying their best to convince them as they are very particular about maintaining the secrecy," says our source.

The show revolves around the conjoined twins who have different aspirations but share the same body. Trouble begins when their mother passes away and one of the twins wishes to be a singer. To pursue her career, she wants to come to Mumbai.

Commenting on the two girls living a difficult life before the show goes on air, Sanjay Upadhaya, programming head of Sony, said, "This is all producers' prerogative. The idea is to be cautious because we don't want the girls to undergo public scrutiny. We just want to be careful and a little sensitive while handling the subject."
