I agree. I think the show was never about revenge and I know some viewers are sorely dissappointed by that. The revenge track was just to bring them together and get them wedded. Any other way of getting Teja and Prem would not look morally acceptable. Now that they got the two married they got rid of the 'revenge' element.
As most of you mentioned the story is about 'Deewanagi' and nothing else. The title says it all.But right now its a purely onsided deewanagi of Prem. Teja has not reached that state yet. She won the love, affection and respect of both Prem and his family quite easily. And now has lost everything and has to start afresh to redeem herself in their eyes.I love the way they timed the twists in the storyline. Each twist of Teja falling in love easily, Preeti likewise and how she tries to create hurdles were all done with aim to bring them together and start the real deewanagi story. It looked absurd at the time. But looking back it all falls in place including why they emphasised on each of the marriage vows during the wedding ritual. I am sure both Prem and Teja will face situations reminding them of each of these vows.As for Prem I think after reading Teja's apology letter knows she is not faking this time round. But he does not want to give in so easily. He wants to make her go through trials and tribulations to be worthy of his love again. Teja has realised that and is ready to go through his painful test of love ...😳
I think the worry is that Teja will be a typical doormat bahu who will put up with taunts and rude behaviour, and its not hard to see why people are sceptical, since Zee shows have always been tending towards doormat FL's and ML's who torture their wives/SO's. And most often than not, there has never been any redemption, the FLs just accept bad behaviour once they fall in love. And while Teja right now feels guilty, I definitely would not enjoy watching her weep and be all-sacrificing.
