Benjamin Gilani joins cast of Aisa Desh H

Critically acclaimed veteran actor of numerous well appreciated programmes, Benjamin Gilani has now joined the starcast of the soap Aisa Desh Hai Mera. Gilani presently also stars in serials like Hotel Kingston on Star One and Prithvi Raj Chauhan on Star Plus. In Aisa Desh Hai Mera, he plays the role of Madan Khurana, the Canada returned, wheel-chair bound, close friend of Kanwaljeet.

Now, however, he is in the bad books of his erstwhile friend due to problems caused by his son. His entry in the soap ensures a complicated landscape with a rift caused between the two best friends, and this drama unfolds during the marriage of Gilani's son with Kanwaljeet's daughter. Talking about why he decided to take up this role, Gilani says, "I chose this role because of the excellent production house backing it."
