CHAPTER - 9

As time passed by,Akash and Ananya's friendship reached to a level where Ananya was quite comfortable with Akash and could share her deepest feelings with him.She never imagined that the person whom she never liked at the beginning,her relationship will turn like that with him.Their closeness was noticed by three people,the first one was Paromita who was very happy for her daughter,the second one was Vikas who was happy for Akash since he got himself a very good companion,who at least,like him will never give Akash any wrong advice and will always help him in difficult times and the last one was Natasha who of course was not at all happy since according to her,Akash was gradually going away from her,but the truth was Akash was never close to her in that manner.One day,Akash invited Ananya and her family to dinner in a 5 star hotel.After giving order of the food,Dimple was sitting idle as she had nothing to do amidst the elders.Dimple said to Ananya,"Mamma mujhe yaha bethe bethe na itna bore ho raha hai.Please mujhe bahaar ghumaane le chalo na thori der ke liye.Waha park hai na bahaar mujhe waha jaana hai."Akash looked at her and said,"Well mamma ko rehne do aapke paas to aapke Akash uncle hai who is always at your service.Chalo main aapko lekar chalta hu."She looked at Ananya as of seeking her permission and Ananya nodded her head.Akash took Dimple outside in the park of the hotel.Dimple sat on a see saw and Akash started pushing the other side of the see saw and Dimple said,"Pata hai Akash uncle main to aapko ek baat batana bhul hi gayi."He looked at her and asked,"Kaunsi baat?"Dimple replied,"Aapne jo mujhe doll diya tha na maine na uska ek naam rakkha hai.Main na kitne dino se ek beautiful naam uske liye soch rahi thi,soch rahi thi achaanak ek din maine dekha ke uske face par na ek chotu sa spot hai isiliye uska naam maine Pimple rakkha hai.Dimple ka doll Pimple.Achcha hai na?"Akash laughed and replied,"Yes my baby doll bohot achcha hai."Dimple then thought over something and then asked,"Akash uncle aap meri mamma ke upar ho na aapke office mein?"Akash replied,"You mean senior???Ha vo to hu."She said,"Pata hai Akash uncle mere school mein na bare classes ke jo bhaiya aur didi hai na unke board ke exams hai to hume 15 days ki chutti milegi aur mamma ne kaha tha ke agar main achche se paraai karungi aur exams mein achche marks laaungi to vo mujhe ghumaane le jaayengi.Main to apne class tests mein sabse achche marks laati hu.Aap mamma se kaho na ke mujhe ghumaane le jaaye,main mamma se jab bhi kehti hu,mamma kehti hai ke unko chutti nehi milegi.Please Akash uncle aap mamma ko bolo na."Akash put her down of the see saw and asked,"Aapko kaha jaana hai ghumne ke liye?"Dimple thought and replied,"Mujhe...mujhe kahi bhi jaana hai.Pata hai mamma aajtak mujhe kahi ghumaane nehi le gayi.Sirf us ghar se hum is ghar mein aa gaye,bas."Akash made a thinking expression and said,"Mmm ok...Main kuch plan karta hu aur uske baad main aapko aur aapki dida ko bahaar ghumaane lekar jaaunga.But ha aapko mujhse ek promise karna hoga,ke aap is baat ko mamma ko nehi bataaoge.It will be a secret.Promise?"Dimples' eyes glittered with excitement and said,"Surprise???Tab to bohot maza aayega.Main mamma ko nehi bataaungi.Par dida ko to bataana parega na."Akash agreed and said,"Ya dida ko to bataana hi parega par mamma se chupkar bataana.Thik hai abhi andar chalo dinner serve ho chuka hoga."Since Akash was Dimples' best friend,so she sat with him and since the table was very high,Dimple made a face and said,"Mamma mujhe to kuch bhi nehi dikh raha hai,ye table itna lamba hai."Akash laughed at the way she said and said,"Table nehi lamba hai beta aap abhi tak bare nehi huye ho na."Dimple was surprised at what Akash had said and she nodded her head and said,"Par mamma to kehti hai ke main bari ho gayi hu isiliye main apna tiffin khud khaati hu."All laughed and then Akash made Dimple sit on his lap and asked,"Ab thik hai?"Dimple happily nodded his head.Akash knew that Dimple couldn't have food with the spoon at her home and either Ananya or Paromita had to feed her,so that time,Akash fed her.Paromita was having food and the moment her eyes fall on Akash and she found how he was feeding and talking with Dimple,she was very happy and somewhere a ray of hope glittered in her heart.She knocked Ananya with her elbow and and pointed towards them and Ananya too was amazed at their behaviour but she just didn't react and signalled Paromita to have her dinner silently to which Paromita was very angry at her.

When Akash dropped them home,Dimple came out of the car and said,"Akash uncle aap phir se ekdin hamaare ghar mein aana.Usdin to dida ne khaana banaya tha na ekdin mamma aapko khilaayegi.Pata hai mamma na boneless chicken aur shahi biriyani bohot achcha banaati hai."Akash looked at Ananya and said,"Really??Tab to mujhe apne aap ko khud hi invite kar lena chahiye bohot jald."Ananya felt shy and gave a fake angry look to Dimple and replied,"Aajkal Dimple bohot zyaada bolne lagi hai.Chalo uncle ko good night bolo."Akash angrily asked,"Aapne meri girlfriend ko daata kyu?"Ananya was surprised and asked,"Girlfriend?"Dimple replied,"Ha mamma Akash uncle ne kaha tha ke main unki girlfriend hu aur vo mere boyfriend."Paromita said,"Achcha achcha thik hai abhi mamma aur uncle ko baat karne do,hum chalta hai andar,chal Dimpu."Dimple held Paromita's finger and then said to Akash,"Akash uncle aap har roz mere ghar mein aana,mujhe aapke saath itna achcha lagta hai."After they left,Ananya said to Akash,"Ok so good night Akash!!"Akash was shocked and asked,"Sirf goodnight??"She made a confused face and replied,"Yes sirf good night.Why did you expect anything more?"He replied,"Well!!Quite sort of if you don't mind!!"She was still confused and asked,"Matlab?"He said,"Matlab ke...matlab ke...ye kehte hai after dinner walk a mile.So I was thinking hume ye sab important baate ignore nehi karni chahiye."Ananya asked,"Main kuch samjhi nehi?"He nodded his head disappointingly and said,"I mean seriously...tumhe itna bhi samajhme nehi aata hai.Ek handsome sa eligible bachelor larka ek beautiful si larki ko apne saath walk par chalne ke liye propose kar raha hai aur tum ho ki ishaare bhi nehi samajhti ho."Ananya was shocked and said,"Walk???Iswaqt??No Akash kal subhe Dimple ko school jaana hai.Mujhe tayyari karni hoti hai subhe aur ma..."Akash replied,"Aunty ko main bol dunga aur puri raat walk karne ke liye nehi keh raha hu,adhe ek ghante ki hi baat hai."Paromita had already reached the lift and he called Paromita from behind and asked,"Aunty main Ananya ko thori der walk par bahaar le jaau??Aapko koi problem to nehi hai na?"She was damn glad on hearing this and replied,"Nehi nehi beta lekar jaao,mujhe koi problem nehi hai.Main sambhaal lungi Dimpu ko."Akash looked at Ananya and said,"See!!Tumse na zyaada achchi to tumhaari mom hai.I really like her aur sabse achchi to mujhe Dimple lagti hai.She is a sweetheart."They started walking off and then Ananya asked,"Agar main aapse kuch puchu to I hope you won't mind."Akash said,"Pucho na,pucho."She asked,"Aapne abhi tak shaadi nehi ki?"He was a bit surprised but still replied,"Well dhang ki larki miley tab to shaadi karu."She smiled and said,"What about Natasha?She is good and beautiful aur vo aapse pyar bhi karti hai.Aap dono shaadi kyu nehi kar lete hai?"Akash stopped and looked at her as if he was hearing some kind of alien language and Ananya read his expressions quite easily and asked,"Mujhe aisa kyu lag raha hai ke aapko is baare mein pata nehi hai?"Akash still looked at her and nodded his head and Ananya was left shocked and she said,"You really didn't know about this?C'mon Akash thats so surprising!!Purey Inde airlines ko pata hai ke Natasha aapse kitna pyar karti hai and even uske aakho mein dekh kar pata chalta hai,she loves you a lot.Mujhe to hairaani is baat par ho rahi hai ke vo aapki itni achchi dost hai,aap dono itne time se ek saath hai aur aapko pata bhi nehi hai is baare mein."Akash nodded his head and said,"Nehi mujhe sach mein nehi pata tha aur vaise bhi mere dil mein Natasha ke liye aisi koi feelings bhi nehi hai.Maine us nazar se usko kabhi dekha bhi nehi hai."Ananya said,"To ab dekhne ki koshish to kar sakte hai na?Ab to koi problem nehi hai."Akash laughed and said,"Oh no way!!I mean ha Natasha achchi hai aur meri bohot achchi dost bhi hai lekin usme vo baat nehi hai jo ek partner mein honi chahiye,ek life partner mein.Vo thori si immatured hai,thora sa bachpana hai uske andar aur bohot ziddi bhi hai aur vaise mujhe ye samajhme aata hai that she is a bit possessive about me but she loves me aisa maine kabhi nehi socha tha."Ananya said,"To phir agar aapke dil mein uske liye koi feelings nehi hai to aapko ye baat usey apne gestures ke through clear kar deni chahiye kyuki varna usko misunderstanding ho jaayegi."Akash replied,"You just don't worry about her aur jaisa chal raha hai vaisa chalne do.Mujhe apne aur Natasha ke relation ko lekar koi complications nehi chahiye."Ananya said,"Par zyaada late mat kijiyega shaayad baad mein Natasha bhi na miley."Akash said,"Koi na miley to na sahi akela reh lunga.Whats the big deal?"She smiled and replied,"Akele zindagi kaati nehi ja sakti hai Akash,har insaan ko saathi ki zarurat parti hai."Akash too smiled and said,"Achcha??To apne baare mein yehi baat kyu nehi maanti ho?Akeli to tum bhi ho na."Ananya stopped walking and said,"Akash mere paas meri beti hai jiske saath main apni puri zindagi guzaar sakti hu."He said,"But vo ekdin bari ho jaayegi,uski shaadi ho jaayegi,phir to tum akeli hi ho jaaogi na."Ananya looked at Akash for some time and then said,"Bohot late ho gaya hai,I think aapko ghar jaana chahiye aur mujhe bhi."Akash understood that Ananya didn't want to talk about this and so he walked with Ananya silently upto her apartment and then left with her car.

Ananya returned home and found that Paromita had already changed Dimples' clothes and made her sleep.Paromita said,"Onu mujhe tujhse baat karni hai."Ananya threw her purse on the sofa and replied,"Please ma main bohot thak gayi hu mujhe neend aa rahi hai."Paromita stopped her and said,"Nehi tu aaj sirf mera baat sunega aur bas mera baat ka hi jawaab dega."Ananya asked,"Kya hai ma?"Paromita replied,"Aaj tune dekha mera Dimpu kaise Akash ka goad mein beth kar khaana kha raha tha aur Akash kitna pyar se usko khila raha tha?Mujhe bohut achcha laga ye dekh kar."Ananya said,"Ma Akash Dimple se bohot pyar karte hai aur Dimple bhi unke saath bohot khush rehti hai thats it.To ab kya hua?"Paromita excitedly replied,"To vohi to hum tujhko samjhaana chahta hai budddhu.Dekh tu kya kehta tha ke Dimpu ko Rohit ne kabhi pyar nehi kiya aur isiliye jab uska khud ka papa ne uska saath aisa kiya to koi dusra usko kaise pyar kar sakta hai?Par dekh Akash ko dekh,vo to Dimpu ka kuch nehi lagta hai phir bhi usse kitna pyar karta hai to problem kya hai?"Ananya in a disturbed tone,asked,"Aap kehna kya chahti hai ke main Akash se shaadi karlu?Aap paagal ho gayi hai?"Paromita replied,"Isme paagal hone ki kya baat hai?Uska aakh mein dikhta hai ke vo Dimpu ko bohot pyar karta hai."Ananya put herhands on her waist and replied,"Ma mere airlines mein sab Dimple ko bohot pasand karte hai to kya main sabse shaadi karti phiru?"Paromita said,"Arey baba sabme aur Akash mein fark hai.Vo samajhdaar hai,tere baare mein sab kuch jaanta bhi hai,Dimpu aur vo dekh kitna comfortable hai ek dusre ka saath aur Dimpu to bilkul Akash se is tarah se farmaayish karta hai jaise koi bachcha apne baap se karta ho.To problem kya hai?"Ananya could not take it more and said,"Ma please!!Ye sab bakwaas bandh karo main aur le nehi pa rahi hu.Aapne agar apna ye shaadi waala raag alaapna bandh nehi kiya to main sach keh rahi hu main kuch na kuch zarur kar lungi aur mujhe is baat par dubaara se koi discussion nehi chahiye."Saying she stormed into her room and Paromita put her hands on her waist angrily and said,"Mujhe dhamki deta hai,apni ma ko dhamki deta hai?Dara ami ebar tor biye koriyei charbo (Ruk main is baar teri shaadi karwakar hi chorungi).Amio dekhi tui ki kore biye korbi na (Main bhi dekhti hu ke tu kaise shaadi nehi karti hai).Eta kono katha holo eka eka bachcha manush korbe,eka thakbe r ami takiye takiye dekhbo (Ye bhi koi baat hui,akele akele bachche ko paalegi,akeli rahegi aur main chupchap dekhungi).Amio jadi ebar tor biye na korai tahole amio tor ma na (Maine bhi agar is baar teri shaadi na karwaayi to main bhi teri ma nehi).Bhabe ki o nijeke? (Kya samajhti hai khudko?)"She made a face angrily and then she too left for her room.
