CHAPTER - 5
[ Vijaygarh ]
After walking for almost 10 minutes,Akash finally stood in front of the guest house and the man who had carried his luggage pointed to the guest house and said,"Lo bhaiji aa gayo tharo mehmaan khaana.Aapko dekh kar laage hai bohot lamba safar tey karke aaye ho.Aap andar jaao aur kha peekar araam karo."Akash held the man's hand and said,"Araam???Main ghore bech kar sounga abhi.Aapka bohot bohot shukriya jo aapne meri itni madat ki hai."The man put the bags on the guest house's doorstep and then joined his hands and said,"Na na bhaiji aap aisa na kaho,ehsaan to devi ma ne kiyo hai humpar,hamaare bachcho par jo unhone aapko bheja hai hamaare vaaste."Akash again looked at the man with confusion and mixed with a little bit of disgust and said,"Aap log ye kaisi baate kar rahe hai?Mujhe dekh kar lagta hai ke main vo hu jo aap soch rahe hai.Kyu mujhe maarne par tule huye ho aap log aur aap log bhi us baba ke baato mein aa gaye?Mujhe to lagta hai vo baba na thore khiske huye hai."The man immediately raised his hands with a scared expresseion and said,"Na na bhaiji aap unke baare mein aisa na bolo.Vo bohot bare baba hai,aajtak unki kahi hui ek bhi baat jhut na nikli hai.Ha aap log sehri babu ho,aap logo ko in sab baton mein viswas koni par hum jaante hai kyuki unhone aaj subhe hi kaha tha ke koi aayega hamaare liye farishta bankar aur dekho aap aa gaye."Akash realized that the people of Vijaygarh were very superstitious and they were having a kind of blind faith over all those supernatural things and so he decided that he should try to stay away and not to try to interfere in their beliefs.He just smiled and the man left from there and Akash gave a deep sigh of relief and went inside the guest house.On seeing a new guest coming,the manager himself came to Akash and said,"Aaiye aaiye sir!!Vijaygarh mein,hamaare guest house mein aapka swaagat hai."Akash came with the manager to the reception counter and then he looked at the whole area and asked,"Vaise manager sahaab,aapka ye guest house dekh kar to lagta hai,koi mahal type ka hai.Ye koi dusre raja ka mahal hai kya?" The manager smiled and replied,"Ji ha aap sahi keh rahe hai sir!!Ye asal mein ek mahal hi hai,ha Vijaygarh ke rajmahal jitna bara nehi,par ha Vijaygarh ke tabke Ranaji ne hi banwaayi hai,apni ek lauti beti ke liye.Asal mein...ye ek kahaani hai,pata nehi sach hai ya jhut,par Rajmahal ke rajgharaane mein 7 pushto tak koi beti nehi thi aur vo rajmahal waale the durga ma ke bhakt.Unka ek kuldevi ka madir bhi hai,yaha se 8km dur,ek dusrga ma ka mandir.Vo har saal bohot hi bare peymaane durga puja karte the aur durga puja ke 4 din tak is gaao mein kisike ghar mein ek waqt ke liye bhi chulha nehi jalta tha.Us puja mein vo 9 choti bachchio ko pujte bhi the sirf ek beti pane ke liye,ek lakshmi maangte the unse par vo prarthna kabhi suni nehi gayi.Lekin 7 pushto baad,unki dua suni gayi aur unke khaandaan mein pehli beti ne janam liya.Vo tabke Ranaji aur Ranisa ki ek lauti beti thi aur isiliye Ranaji ne ye mahal banwaya tha.Phir kahi sadiyo baad dheere dheere rajao ka raaj khatam ho gaya aur ye mahal ab guest house ban chuka hai."Akash heard the story with complete patience and then said,"Hmm interesting!!Ye guest house to kaafi bara hai aur Vijaygarh ka ek lauta hai,to aap log isko hotel kyu nehi bana lete?"The manager sadly smiled and replied,"Ab aapse kya chupaau sir,aap to yaha aane ke baad yaha ki kahani sun hi chuke hai.Vijaygarh mein zyaada tourist nehi aate hai aur upar se kuch dino pehle aapne shaayad paper mein para bhi hoga,paper mein bhi aaya tha ek scholar ki maut ho gayi.To bataiye kaun aayega yaha par zyaada isliye kamaai bhi nehi hoti hai aur hotel banwaane ke liye to paise lagte hai na."Akash agreed and nodded his head.While the manager was writting down his address and name,Akash showed his fake identity card of a journalist.He remembered the room no of the scholar and so he said,"Mujhe na aap vo room no 401 dena,actually mera ek dost aaya tha kahi saalo pehle aur usne kaha tha ke us room mein na hawa bohot achchi aati hai."The manager's face was like as if someone had drained all the blood from his body and asked,"Aap us kamre mein rahenge sir?"Akash made a face and asked,"Kyu waha kya kharaabi hai?"He then in a mocking tone continued,"Waha aap logo ki famous celebrity churail madam rehti hai kya?"The manager replied,"Nehi vo actually vo jo scholar mare the na vo hamaare yaha hi thehre the aur vo bhi usi kamre mein the."Akash smiled and replied,"Well thats a co-incidence!!"The manager called one of his staffs and then asked him to take Akash's luggage in his room.Before leaving,Akash said,"Manager sahaab bara thaka hua hu,achcha sa,dhaasu sa dinner bhej dijiyega kamre mein aur vo bhi jaldi bari bhukh lagi hai."The manager smiled and nodded his head and Akash,while putting his step on the stair case,towards his room again stopped and asked,"Vaise manager saaab abhi ke us mahal ke raja ka naam kya hai?"The manager replied,"Rana Uday Pratap Singh Rathore!!"Akash nodded his head and again reminded him of the dinner and left for his room.
After the dinner,Akash thought to call Neil for video chatting.Neil,on the other side,was waiting desperately for Akash's call in his room when everybody is asleep.The moment,he received Akash's mesaage,he turned on his tab.The convo :-
A :- "Hey dude!!Aren't you asleep?"
N :- "Kyu aise mummy type ke sawaal puch rahe ho chachu?So gaya hota to aapse baat kar raha hota kya main?Pehle ye batao pohche kab?"
A :- "Mat puch yaar aaj to hadh hi ho gayi.Aaj ke jitna kharaab din to mujhe puri zindagi mein bhi kabhi dekhne ko nehi mila."
N :- "Kyu??Kya ho gaya?Churail ne aapka samaan chori kar liya kya?"
A :- "Saale sabko tune apne jaisa samajh kar rakkha hua hai kya?Jo mere hamesha kahi bahaar se waapas aate hi mere bag par hamla kar deta hai?Baat to sun le aaj bare dhakke khaaye hai maine."
He described everything to Neil and Neil was having way too much pleasure because he loves when Akash gets hackled for something just like Akash used to gain pleasure whenever Neil used to receive punishment.
N :- "Achcha chachu ye to aapke yaha aane ke baare mein hua lekin aane ke baad kya kya hua?"
A :- "Vo to aur bhi ajeeb hai pata hai.Ek budhdha baba mila tha pata nehi kaisi ajeeb ajeeb baate kar raha tha ke main Vijaygarh ko bachaane aaya hu blah blah and all."
Akash even described the whole incident after reaching to VIjaygarh regarding the peer baba and the man who carried his luggages.
N :- "Really???Mujhe to ye koi sleezy bollywood film ki kahaani lag rahi hai.Ek rakshak aata hai ek gaao ko churail ke qahar se bachaane.Thats so creepy!!"
A :- "Exactly!!Par ab jab aa hi gaya hu to dekhte hai kya hota hai.Filhaal to main sone ja raha hu,aadhi raat ho gayi hai aur mujhe zoro ki neend aa rahi hai.Chal goodnight!!"
N :- "Ok bye chachu!!"
Akash and Neil disconnected the call and then Akash lied down on his bed and said,"Kal se shuru hoga mera asli kaam.So is vajah se teri neend puri honi bohot zaruri hai.So get to sleep!!"Akash closed his eyes and thought about the the incidents which happened with him that day and he didn't even realize when he drowned in the ocean of sleep.The moment Akash put his step in Vijaygarh,there was a tincture of impatience in the weather as the wind was blowing heavily but from the opposite direction.The people of Vijaygarh were scared with no limits thinking that the soul might have come again to exact its vengeance upon the people but only peer baba knew exactly what the meaning of the changed weather and what the Almighty might be trying to say throught his act.The peer baba was standing outside the mosque,like a rock,looking at the forest an one of his desciples came out of the mosque and said to peer baba,"Baba andar chaliye,aaj toofan bohot tez hai,lagta hai sab ura kar le jaayega.Andar aaiye baba,yaha khare rehna khatre se khali nehi hai.Lagta hai koi musibat aane waali hai bohot bari,lagta hai vo rooh aaj phir se apna qahar dhaane waali hai."The peer baba closed his eyes and stretched his hands upwards and chanted some verses and then he looked at his disciple,with a smile and said,"Ye churail ka qahar nehi,allah ki karamaat hai beta.Ye hawaon ka rukh ulti taraf se aa raha hai aur allah mujhe yehi bataana chahta hai ke ab Vijaygarh ke din badalne waale hai,uska mustaqbil badalnewaala yaha aa gaya hai.Ye sirf hawayein nehi hai,ye farmaan hai us allah ka ke us rooh ko anjaam tak phochaane ka waqt bohot jaldi aane waala hai."The disciple asked,"Par baba us musafir ko to pata bhi nehi hai ke vo yaha kyu aaya hai aur vo kyu karega hamaari madat?"The peer baba smiled and replied,"Vo karega,kyuki usey karna hi parega aur yehi uska mustaqbil hai.Har shaks is duniya kisi na kisi maqsad se hi aata hai aur uska maqsad hi yehi hai.Khud allah usse ye karwaayega kyuki aisa karne ke alava uske paas aur koi raasta hi nehi hai."He pointed at the palace and said,"Bohot jald us mahal mein roshni hone waali hai,lekin us roshni ke saath ek kaala andhera bhi chaane waala hai.Sadiyo pehle jis kaali raat ko ek masoom ke khoon se likha gaya tha,vo raat phir se dohraayi jaayegi,waha phir se ek masoom ki qurbaani li jaayegi.Vijaygarh aur rajgharaane ko rooh se hamesha ke liye nijaad to milega par uski keemat ek masoom ko apne khoon se chukaani hogi."The words of the peer baba appeared to be a complete maze for his disciple and he pleaded the peer baba again and again to get inside the mosque and the peer baba finally complied.

Ananya thought over Natasha's request for a long time and for that she was very unmindful in her office.She was sitting closing her eyes in her revolving chair in her cabin when her chief designer knocked into her cabin and broke Ananya's chain of thoughts.She sat straight in her chair and asked her to come inside the cabin.The designer brought Natasha's wedding attire with her and showed that to Ananya and asked,"Mam this was the design which you finalized.Is that okay?"Ananya checked the dress and asked her to add some embroidery of gold.The designer nodded her head and then left from there.Ananya was sitting and suddenly she called her PA inside her cabin and when she came,Ananya asked her to sit and the PA sat down in front of her with pen and a notepad.Ananya smiled on seeing that and said,"Oh no Nancy!!Today I didn't call you for dictating anything.I just need your suggestion for something."Nancy,Ananya's PA was boggled at her proposal and she,with a confusing smile asked,"Sugestion!!!From me??How can I suggest you?I mean..."Ananya smiled and replied,"Actually there are some problems in life,when your family are never able to give you the suggestion which you want but sometimes,a person who is completely not related to you...I mean someone who is not your family helps us solve such matters because they are completely unrelated to the situation and thats why I need your suggestion just for neutral perspective."Nancy smiled and replied,"Ok mam I'll try my best."Ananya took deep breath and said,"The thing is a bit complicated and the problem is that..."Ananya could not guess actually from where she should start and after a few seconds,she composed herself and said,"Suppose you know that doing certain thing will be dangerous for you and it may even cost your life but suddenly you fall into such a situation where you have to do that thing for your most loved ones happiness.What would you do?"Nancy listened to the situation carefully and then replied,"Mam...I think you should explain the outcomes of that action to your loved one."Ananya replied,"If on that action,the happiness and the most precious thing of your loved one,even more than his/her life depends then?"Nancy was in a real trouble that time,she was in a dilemma and then thinking about that for a brief period,she said,"Then you should do that thing."Ananya was surprised and asked,"Even if you know thats deadly??"Nancy replied,"Yes mam because nothing is more important than your loved ones' happiness because no one has seen the future mam,we don't know whats in store for us tomorrow.If we could have so easily calculated the time and place of our death,we would have been invincible right??I mean if it would have happened,life would have been miserable like waiting for death,its worst than hell.It might happen you know...that whatever you have thought might not be true in real sense and as you are saying about costing your life then mam one day or the other we all have to die so why not taking a chance at least you would have that content in your heart that you gave someone happiness."Ananya looked away and thought she actually never thought about the matter in that way and Nancy was right,one day or the other all has to die.She realized that though the palace of Vijaygarh was cursed,her life was cursed,but for her life and for the fact that her mother died there,she cannot snatch Natasha's happiness.All that Natasha wanted was to get married at her own paternal home and marriage is a very important part in every girl's life and it comes only once so just like an heir to the throne,Ananya had the responsibility to secure her familes' life,just like that as a sister,she had the responsibility to ensure her sister's happiness.Ananya had a smile on her face and was really feeling very light at that moment.She turned to Nancy and said,"Nancy you are really an angel in my life.Thank you so much for your suggestion.You can leave."Nancy replied,"Iam glad that Iam able to help you mam!!"Saying she took her leave and Ananya leaned on her chair back happily.
On reaching home,Ananya called everyone in the hall.Uday,Parvati and Vijay who had already returned from office came to the hall and found Ananya was very excited and Uday asked,"Ananya aap bari khush lag rahi hai?Kya baat hai koi bohot bara contract mila hai kya?"Ananya smiled and replied,"Oh no papa!!Actually baat usse bhi bohot bari hai.Humne kal raat ko aur office jaane ke baad bhi bohot socha ke hume Natasha ki request maan leni chahiye ya nehi.Hum bilkul bhi khush nehi the uska dil todkar but aaj hume kisine bataya ke marna to ekdin sabko hai,to kamsekam apni behen ke liye itna risk to hum le hi sakte hai.I mean...shaadi to ek baar hi hoti hai na life mein aur usne maanga bhi to kya ke mahal mein shaadi honi chahiye to hum uski itni si wish to puri kar hi sakte hai aur phir mahine do mahine ki hi to baat hai uske baad to hum sab waapas aa hi jaayenge."Uday said,"Nehi beta aap uski khushi ke liye agar itna bara risk le rahi hai to mat lijiye,aisa kuch mat kariye jisme aapki puri tarah se razaamandi na ho."Parvati agreed to Uday and said,"Ha bitiya agar thaare ko thik na lagey to aisa mat kar.Koi jabardasti na hai thaare par."Ananya replied,"Nehi ma hum jo kuch bhi keh rahe hai,hum bohot samajh kar hi ye sab keh rahe hai.Aap fikar mat kijiye,aap sab bas chalne ki tayyari kijiye."Ananya said to Vijay,"Bhaisa do teen din mein fashion week hai aap uske baad waali kisi bhi din ke tickets banwa lijiye aur ha shaadi par pehenne ke liye saari shopping hum Delhi se karenge kyuki Vijaygarh mein to aise kapre milte nehi hai na.So aap Delhi mein bhi ek hotel book karwa lijiyega."In a playful tone,Ananya then said to Parvati and Uday,"Ma papa vaise hum soch rahe the ke..."She looked at Vijay with the corner of her eyes and said,"Ke ab jab hum India ja hi rahe hai.To waha se hum apne bhaisa ke liye bhi ek achchi larki pasand kar lenge aur unhe apni bhabhisa banakar hum yaha apne saath lekar aayenge.Aap log kya kehte hai?"Parvati replied,"Main bhi to chorey se yohi kehti rehti hu ke shaadi karle par vo maari baat sune tab na.Maare ko bhi to marne se pehle apne chorey ka ghar basano hai,apne pote ya poti ka muh dekhno hai,varna main upar ke muh lekar jaaungi."Uday agreed and said,"Bilkul sahi baat hai,ab hamaara koi beta to hai nehi,par Vijay to hamaare liye bete se badhkar hai na.To ab hume uski shaadi ke baare sochna hi chahiye aur ab jab honewaali yuvraani ne keh diya hai hai tab to hum isbaar Vijay ke liye rishta pakka karke hi aayenge."Ananya replied,"Pakka hi nehi hum to bhaisa ki shaadi karwaakar seedha bhabhisa ko lekar aayenge."Vijay,who dislike that topic very much,said,"Kya aap sab ye saari baate lekar beth gaye?Aap logo ko pata hai na mujhe ye saari baate pasand nehi hai."All the other people laughed and then,in order to tease Ananya,he said,"Vaise main to chalo shaadi ke liye maan bhi jaau,par usse pehle rajkunwariji ko apna ghar basaana hoga.Jabtak main unki doli apne kandhe par nehi uthaaunga tabtak main bhi shaadi nehi karunga.Har bhai ka sapna hota hai ke vo apni behen ki doli ko kaandha de."Ananya made a face and said,"Bhaisa aap..."Vijay said,"Achcha thik hai main nehi kehta kuch bhi to aapko bhi ye promise karna parega ke aap bhi meri shaadi ki baat nehi karengi."Ananya joined her hands and then said,"Thik hai nehi karenge,aapse jeetna hamaare bas ki baat nehi hai."Saying both Ananya and Vijay chuckled.
