To all those readers who were expecting an updates this week.

I could not complete the chapter this week. My mother is a breast cancer and now multiple organ cancer patient so when the doc says I have to take her for the chemotherapy sessions every week. Last week I did manage to write one , but this week I am also not well so could not finish. The sessions will continue till next week so not sure I will be able to write much sitting at the hospital but will try. Will come back surely with multiple updates as and when I manage to find some time on hand.

Thanks to all my friends here for all your prayers and being with me . I did manage to pen down two chapters this week and posting them , hope you all like it.

Chap-21-Contented

As Ananya started walking towards the garden chairs, she saw that they were surrounded by freshly blooming chrysanthemums and roses. Akash retold the story as to how was his interaction with Dr.Vikas and Dr. Rohit, how they had come to his health camp and how he had spoken about his liking for Ananya and the evidences that he had showed her. Ananya was shocked hearing that Dr.Vikas knew about her mole.She felt ashamed about the fact that he had keenly noticed something which was supposed to be visible to somebody who she would willingly would have showed.She was lost in her thoughts and seeing her condition Akash put a hand on her shoulder bringing her back to reality. Ananya felt Akash deserved to know the whole story and started narrating the entire sequence of events that culminated with Vikas being held guilty of sexual harassment. As she was narrating her tryst with a rape attempt by Dr.Rathore Akash noticed the myriad of emotions fleeting over Ananya's face from anger to helplessness to despair and then back to revenge and resolve. He felt her shiver and moved closer enveloping Ananya in his embrace. As Ananya felt her being embraced to the person she most wanted to be with during the trying times, she could not hold it further and let her tears flow freely. Akash felt sorry and held her tight to himself as he felt Ananya's body wrecking with sobs as she cried her heart out and he just held her close to let all her pains and anger flow. After a while once Ananya's sobs subsided, she lifted her head up and said "You know Akash , the feeling of being violated is an emotion which one can't describe unless one goes through it. It's a feeling of being helpless at the moment and later when you realize you lose confidence in yourself for not being able to protect yourself. You have hurt, anger despair and all of them for yourself". Akash just kissed her face devoid of all the tears that flowed and as he caressed the contours of her cheekbones, he asked her with lots of love and care "Why didn't you call me once to tell me and went through all this alone. Didn't you consider me worthy of that?"

An: Only God knows how much I missed you Akaksh, how much did I wanted to be with you and hide myself in your arms but I did not know where I stood in your life. Before going to the health camp I did not know what happened that you had literally stopped talking to me and even had gone away with Natasha to some of your those obnoxious parties..

AK: So what, you could have still called me, you always had the right on me.

An: Akash what right. I did not even know where I stood in your life. Was I somebody who meant something to you or it was just your one off friends? You behavior in the past few weeks have been so bipolar. Sometimes you are too good and the next week either you are angry or you have shut me up from your life.

Akash laughed at the way Ananya expressed her feelings

Ak: So I am bipolar and where do I go obnoxious parties and else do I do

With this they were running behind each other all over the house with Akash following Ananya to catch her and finally he had managed to catch her by her waist and lift her up and they had fallen and rolled over on the grass lawn of the garden .They were lying over each other lying over each other's heartbeats when Akash lifted his head and whispered huskily close to Ananya's ears " To kya kehti ho , tum tumhare Akash ko jane dogi Natasha ke saath who obnoxious parties mein".Ananya rounded her eyes and said "Tumhari himmat kaise hui kyunki tumne agar aisa karne ka socha bhi to main tumhare chote tukre karke kachre ke dabbe mein dal dungi"

Ak: Bapre kitni hinsak nari ho tum, baaapre..mar marane per tuli hui ho

An: To kya karoon jo mera hain usper koi aur ko mein kaise muh marne doon

Ak: Accha to main tumhara hoon...bolo na kabse..

Ananya blushed a beet root red on being caught unaware and Akash continued "waise I am falling hard for this possessive Ananya.."

As Ananya pushed Akash off her and got up to move away, he pulled her arm so she fell back and had to sit back on the lawn.

Ak: Ananya now that we are together you deserve to know about me and Natasha.

Ananya's heart skipped a beat on hearing Akash take his and Natasha's name together as to what he was going to say but all her apprehensions were laid to rest as Akash continued saying "In fact tum jo soch rahi ho waisa kuch bhi nahin hain humare beech.There has never been an Akash and Natasha and never will be."

Saying this Akaksh narrated the entire story of how Akash and Natasha had met at NIAMS 2^nd anniversary party and Natasha had this infatuation for him. He had never been rude to her and she had taken it to be a yes from his side to her overtures and continued her trysts with him. Natasha , he knew had infatuation for anybody who was handsome and good looking.Infact, although she was supposed to be Akash girlfriend and had always said so, she continued her dates with other handsome models whenever she was out of the city. Ananya was astonished to think as to why after knowing everything Akash had still had not broken clean with her. That's when Akash told her about what his father had taught that he could use his looks to his advantage and woo girls to achieve his career objectives and he had decided to follow him and wanted to be on the board of NIAMS one day. He had always thought he could manage to live with eccentric Natasha in exchange for control of NIAMS till he met Ananya. After meeting her he realized what love was and what a beautiful feeling it was. On realizing his true feelings for Ananya he had realized he would be ready to give up everything for her and still be the happiest in this world.

Ananya was shocked at the revelation of this aspect of his character but was happy about the fact that Akash had laid bare all that he was and come clean. Akash continued

"Till I met you Ananya, I never knew love could change me like this and make me a better person. I want to be like you, to be with you, to hold your hands and see the sunrise every morning till I grow old and all my hairs become grey.I know even tomorrow if I have a bloated belly, a wrinkled face and snore heavily and start belching, you will still be with me and I promise I will be there with you"

Ananya looked at his eyes and felt supremely contented as they held conviction of all the words that he said and she knew he was saying it from his heart and there was no faade.

Chap-22 Bonding

Akash continued with his story and all of a sudden jerked up and looked at Ananya and said "yeh sab sunkar tum mujhe chod kar to nahin chali jaogi na Ananya.Tum mujhe believe karti ho na.koshish kar raha hoon mein sudharne ki".

Ananya looked at Akash with a very annoyed look and his heart sank thinking that she might leave him forever and his breaths grew labored and suddenly Ananya burst out laughing. Akash released his breath seeing her laughing and was lost in her laugh. Ananya looked so full of life when she laughed and the way she held her stomach as if she has just come out of a comic movie. Akash rolled over and placed his head comfortably on Ananya's lap and said "Mein koi joker hoon yah maine koi joke sunaya jo tum mujhpe aise haans rahi ho "

An: Sorry..per jaise ghabrakar tum mujhe dekh rahe the na to bada mann kar raha tha ki thora tumhara leg pull kiya jaye.

Ak: Haan udaa lo mera Mazak..yahan meri saansein atki hui thi aur wahan tumhein mazak sujh raha tha

Saying this Akash tried to get up from Ananya's lap and she pulled him back saying "gussa kyun hote ho, sorry baba..aage se nahin karungi.But there's one thing that bothers me, if you know Natasha mistreats you and takes you for granted then why did you stay with her, just for money and power. You are handsome, charming, you could have chosen anybody."

AK: "thanks for the compliments. But that is the problem, when your outward physical appearance attracts somebody to you then you cannot connect to the person. The girls you mentioned were always physically attracted so it's the same with Natasha. With all of them if I am not dressed properly they note, if my shoes or perfume are out of market they note but if I am sad nobody notices, nobody notices that I don't like pizza but aloo paratha.Till I met you I never knew that somebody would care for Akash the person, accept me the way I am, with you I can be the real Aakash and not care how I dress or how I look."

An: "Tum bilkul pagal ho.Aisi baatein karke rulane ka irada .."

Just then her phone started ringing and it was Dr.Gupta on the line. After few minutes of talking to Dr.Gupta she told Akash that she had to leave. Akash really did not want to let her go and hugged her tight from her waist nodding his head. Ananya ran her fingers through his hair and said "Who thoda jana parega Akash..woh papa..I mean Dr.Gupta ne bulaya hain"

Ak :"Mujhse chupane ki zaroorate nahin hain. Main janta hoon unhein akele mein tum papa kehti ho".

Ananya was a little embarrassed at knowing that her little secret was out.

An: You know how possessive Natasha is so it would not be good to call him so in public. There is nothing that is legal between us or I am not his officially adopted daughter so openly calling him and declaring is not possible. But both of us like each other's company and I feel he can say what he cannot say to Natasha.

AK: Its fine but I hope he doesn't hurt you in the process because in a case where he has to choose between you and Natasha I am sure he will choose his own daughter even if you are right.

An: I know and don't worry I will take care of myself and shall I go now..Papa wait kar rahe honge..

Ananya stepped out on the porch to leave when Akash reminded her not to leave her phone anywhere the way she generally does and Akash had warned her before as well. He on the other hand became a little suspicious about Dr. Rohit as to why he had not told the truth to Akash when the entire hospital knew about the incident. Akash mentally noted to do some investigation discreetly as he himself had noticed some change in his college buddy.

Ananya walked through the huge iron gates of Dr. Gupta's residence or rather it could be called a sprawling villa of Victorian age with large huge walls in white and marble flooring with huge wooden doors intricately carved.Dr. Gupta had bought this on the premises when he had taken over this small hospital to build NIAMS.Ananya pushed open the door to Dr.Gupta's library and like she had suspected he was sitting in the balcony adjacent to the library in his kurta-pyjama on the cane chair laid down there. Ananya picked up the shawl which was hanging on one section of the chair and opened it and wrapped it on Dr.Gupta's shoulders and he instantly smiled back at her and held her hand and said "Aa gayee tu beta, aaja baith.Kaisi hain"

An: Papa abhi mausam thoda sushth hain ap aise bahar mat baitha karo thand lag jayegi

RG(Raman Gupta):Tu hain na meri doctor khayal rakhne ke liye phir mujhe bimaari se kyun darna

An: Papa ap bhi na..

As Ananya sat on the chair she noticed Dr. Gupta looking a little lost and worried and she asked:

An: Papa ap pareshan ho , kuch hua hain kya..Natasha ne kuch kiya kya

RG: Haan pareshan to hoon, yeh Natasha itne mahino ke liye gayab ho jati hain, bas paise khatam hote hi sirf contact karti hain.Mere ek friend ne use ek baar mein peekar ek anjaan ladke ke saath dekha.Maine use pucha to saaf mukar gayee aur dobara pucho to ghar chodne ki dhamki dekar chali gayee.

An: Papa ap use pyaar se samjhaiye thoda time dijiye zaroor manegi who apki baat

RG: She is my Nadia's shadow and you know she is my weakest point. I know I have spoilt her but I can't see her hurt but looks like she is going astray.

An: Aap Natasha ki shaadi ke bare mein kyun nahin sochte, use company mil jayegi aur apko shaanti.Shaayad who ek family pa kar yeh sab kuch chod de aur dheere dheere sudhar jaaye

RG: (smiling sadly) I don't think it's so simple but anyways I asked you to meet for something else, I am opening up a center in Sweden and I want you to go there to help supervise the setup and functioning of the center.

Dr. Gupta gave the details of the center and asked Ananya if she wanted to go .Ananya was in two minds because she wanted to stay with Akash and build their future together but this was a great opportunity for her. As if on cue, Dr. Gupta said, the other choice was Akash because he has shown a lot of improvement. Ananya was now sure of her decision and she chose to give the opportunity to Akash and back out from it.
