CHAPTER - 4

Ananya entered Avasthi's room and closed the door with a bang from behind.Avasthi was worried,"Kya hua Ananya?Bohot gussey mein lag rahi ho?"Before Ananya could reply,Akash enters and cuts her words and addresses to Avasthi,"Sir,aapki pyaari Miss Ananya Rawat ko bohot jaldi hi gussa aa jaata hai."Avasthi looked at both of them confusingly,"Aakhir baat kya hai?Any problem?"Akash sat and replied,"Maine inse kaha ke ab jab ek hi saath kaam karna hai to itni formality ki kya zarurat hai?"Avasthi asked,"Matlab?"Akash continued,"Maine inse sirf ye kahaa ke MISS ANANYA RAWAT ya MISS ANANYA ya MISS RAWAT kitna baraaa lagta hai sunne mein bhi aur bolne mein bhi to maine inse pucha ke kya main aapko aaj se sirf ANANYA bula sakta hu?"With a pause and shocked look,"Sir aap yakeen nehi karenge ye itna bharak gayi mujhpe ke mere laaye flowers se mujhe maarne chali thi aur maine apne aap ko inke keher se bachaane ke liye inka haath pakar liya to gusse ke mare mujhe dhakka deke giraake phir darwaaza mere muh pe bandh karke yaha chali aayi."He lied in such a dramatic way and gave such appropriate expressions that could have easily trapped big intellectuals.Akash was fully enjoying Ananya's irritation.Akash continued making a very innocent face,"Sir inko mera inhe naam leke bulaana pasand nehi to ye sharaafat se bol sakti thi.Main yaha sirf aapke request pe inki help karne aaya tha Sir varna mere paas kaafi offers the."He lowered his eyes and very seriously said,"Agar inka yehi attitude rahaa to mujhe majburan..."and got up from his seat.Ananya,too,got up from her seat and barked at him,"Ha to jaiye na Mr Saluja kisne roka hai aapko?I'll be damn glad."She folded her arms and turned her face on the other side to cool her down.Avasthi very innocently believed him and scolded Ananya,"Ananya ye kya baat hui.Ek itne bare journalist ke saath koi aise behave karta hai kya?Say sorry to him."Ananya looked at Avasthi,"Par Sir..."Avasthi added,"Now!"Ananya making a fist turned towards Akash,"Sorry!"Akash was very amused but hiding it,said,"Bol to aise rahi hai jaise bohot baraa ehsaan kiya ho.Aap kya hamesha karela khati hai?Thora pyar se boliye na?"Akash turned his face with fake anger but actually he wanted to control his laugh on seeing her expressions.She took deep breath to control her nerves and said very politely,"Sorry."Akash turned and made a baby face towards her,"Its ok."Avasthi said to Akash,"Aur aaj se main tumhe lisence deta hu ke tum iska naam le sakta ho."Akash still acted pointing towards Ananya,"Par Sir kahi phir se..."Avasthi assured,"Vo kuch nehi kahegi.Trust me."Akash added,"Sir naam lene ka jab permission aap ne de hi di hai to kya main inhe aapke bajaaye tum bula sakta hu?"and turned towards Ananya.She was measuring his audacity but didn't react.Avasthi agreed,"Sure."Akash,turning towards Ananya,with a wicked smile, addressed Avasthi,"Thank you Sir."At that moment,Avasthi had a phone call and he went outside to attend it.Ananya was shivering with anger so much that she would have turned anyone into ashes with her looks.Ananya closed her eyes in frustration and murmered,"Kitna jhut bolta hai ye.Apna kaam nikalvaane ke liye tedhe medhe tareeke istemaal karne se ye abhi tak baaz nehi aaya.Jee to kar raha hai iska gala dabaa du."She nursed her head."To dabaa do!"Ananya looked at Akash with a jerk,who leaned on the chair facing her in a teasing mood.Ananya gave a what' look.Akash said,"Gala dabaane ka jee kar raha hai na mera?"She gave him an unbelievable look.He made a baby face and came near her,"To dabaa do na kamsekam maut to tumahare baaho mein naseeb hogi phir chahe mujhe jahannum hi miley koi gham nehi."He said this words in such a way,that she fall for him instantly.She was lost in his eyes and with an unknown attraction,was about to care his cheek and deeply desired to kiss him.He,understanding her feeling,forwarded her cheek at first and then forwarded his lips at an inch distance from her lips,"Choone ya phir kiss karne ke liye you are most and always welcome."Ananya got lost for a moment and slowly lowered her eyes and blushed.Akash almost whispered,"Haaye!In palko ko yu na jhukao meri jaan,dil pe churiya chal jaati hai."Ananya was brought back to the present at his words.She pushed him back forcefully and pissing her teeth said,"Kitna baraa drama kiya abhi Sir ke saamne.Meri koi galti na hone ke baavajud mujhse sorry bulvaai.Bare avval darje ke kameene ho.Pata nehi kitne kameeno ke marne ke baad unki aatma tumhare andar ghusi hai."Akash casually replied,"Ab aise kaam karna to Akash Saluja ka style hai."and winked,"Kya karu O Baby main hu aadat se majboor."At that moment,Avasthi enterd.After taking his seat,he addressed both,"Vaise achcha hai abhi jab tum dono aa hi gaye ho to main bataadu ke kal shaam ek bare se hotel mein maine Akash ke aane ki khushi mein ek official party di hai to tum log vahaa aa rahe ho."Both agreed and left.

Rohit returned almost at the time of lunch.He directly went to Ananya's cabin where Ananya was leaning on her chair and Akash,at that time had gone out for some personal work.Rohit pulled a chair and sat beside her.He put his hand on her back,"Bohot pareshaan lag rahi ho kya baat hai?Kahi usne koi..."Ananya disappointedly replied,"Naam mat lo uska.Dimaag kharaab karke rakh diya hai mera.Aane ke baad se hi apni harkato se irritate kiye ja raha hai mujhe."She got up from her seat and stood by the window,"Bina kaam kiye hi itna thak gayi hu ke kaam karne ka man hi nehi kar raha hai." Rohit consoled her,"Don't worry main hoon na tumhaare saath.Usey main kuch bhi ulti seedhi harkate nehi karne dunga,I promise.Achcha ab chalo kuch kha lete hai,mujhe bohot bhuk lagi hai aur tumhe bhi lag rahi hogi na?"Ananya agreed.While going Ananya said,"Tum mera kitna khayal rakhte ho Rohit."Rohit smiled.While sitting on the restaurant,Ananya said,"Haaye itni thakaan mehsoos ho rahi hai ke kaash mujhe abhi mera banana smoothie mil jaaye by God to mazaa aa jaaye."Rohit was about to call a waiter to order her smoothie,just then a waiter came with her smoothie on the tray.Ananya was so happy to see it.She excitedly said,"Wow!Meri smoothie."She confusingly asked the waiter,"Par mere bina order kiye kaise aa gayi?"The waiter pointed to a man and both Ananya and Rohit were shocked to find that it was Akash.Rohit got jealous and Ananya was very angry,but somewhere,in her heart,she was happy because he still remembered those small small things.Akash came to their table and addressed Ananya,"Bohot thak gayi ho na isiliye order kiya tha."He then turned to Rohit,"Abey Rohit tu kya apne best friend ko bhul gaya?Arey yaar itne dino baad hum dono miley hai,tu mere gale nehi lagega kya?"Rohit reluctantly got up and hugged Akash and asked,"Kaisa hai tu?"Akash bluntly replied looking at Ananya,"Meri baby ke bina kaisa ho sakta hu bol?"Rohit didn't react but was burning from inside.Akash looked at both their faces and continued,"Vaise tum dono to mujhe yaha baithne ke liye invite karoge nehi,to main khud hi invited hoke yaha baith hi jaata hu."He pulled a chair and sat beside them.All the time Akash was continuously talking and Rohit was answering a bit but Ananya remained totally silent.They finished their lunch.Akash said to Rohit,"Mere khaane ka bill bhi de dena please.Aakhir itne dino baad aaya hu,itna to apne dost ke liye kar hi sakta hai."Rohit unwillingly paid his bill too.Seeing his face Akash amusingly said to himself,"Saale mauke pe chauka maarne ki gustaakhi ki hai tuney ab bhugatna to parega.Ye to bas shuruwaat hai,aagey aagey dekh tere saath aur kya kya karta hu."All left for office.Ananya's mood was already spoiled,so in order to make up her mind,Rohit proposed her for a dinner date.After requesting for many times,Ananya reluctantly agreed.Akash listened to everything from behind the door.

During afternoon,the peon of the office slowly came towards Rohit's car.He kneeled down very suspiciously beside one tyre and looking on both sides carefully,he punctured it.In the same cautious manner,he returned and addressed a man,"Maine aap ka kaam kar diya hai Sirjee."The man gave him a note of 500,and he turned out to be Akash.He gave a very wicked smile,"Mere moujudgi mein tu meri Ananya ko dinner date pe leke jaana chahta tha na?Ab ja."After the day's work,Ananya and Rohit came out of the office and moved towards his car.He suddenly noticed his car's punctured tyre.He kicked that tyre,"Oh s**t!Is tyre ko bhi abhi puncture hona tha?"He tried to mend the things up and Ananya, too,waited by her side.Akash was watching everything by hiding and went to a flashback :-

"Shona tum apna ye khataara bike bech kyu nehi dete?"Ananya asked impatiently standing beside Akash,who was trying to mend his bike,as it was not getting started.Akash got up and raised his finger,"Dekho Ananya tumhe mujhe jo kehna hai kehlo lekin meri bike ko kuch mat kehna.Ye meri khud ki kamaai se kharidi hui apne liye pehli gift hai,kitni saari pyaari yaadein juri hai iske saath."Ananya jealously said,"Bike ki baat aayi to main baby se Ananya ban gayi huh?Kabhi kabhi na tumhaari ye bike mujhe meri sautan lagti hai.Ekbaar shaadi ho jaane do phir dekhna sabse pehle is bike ko thikaane lagaaungi main."Akash was again about to say something but Ananya stopped him by putting her finger on his lips,"Ssshhh!"She came close to him and cared his face and looking very deeply into his eyes, said,"Main tumse bohot pyar karti hu Akash.Tum mere liye meri zindagi se bhi zyaada aziz ho aur main tumhe kisike saath,kisi bhi keemat mein nehi baat sakti."Akash smiled sweetly and pulled her towards him by her waist and was about to kiss her,but Ananya pushed him back,"Yahaa tak ki tumhaare is khataara bike ke saath bhi nehi,samjhe?"She made a face and Akash smiled.

Akash smiled,"Haaye vo bhi kya din the"and promised to himself and Ananya, "Dekhna baby vo din phir se waapas zarur aayenge.Main leke aaunga...sirf tumhare liye"with a pause,"Nehi hamare liye."There Rohit was at last failed in his attempt of changing the tyre as it was dark and it was not possible to find a mechanic at this moment as its already late.Rohit proposed Ananya to leave her home by the taxi but Ananya denied and assured him that she can go alone.But Rohit didn't accept and after arguing for some more time,Rohit gave up and allowed her to go alone with the promise of calling him back as soon as she reached home.Before leaving,Ananya,too,enquired what he would do now to which Rohit,too,assured him that he would manage.Convincingly,Ananya left.Seeing the whole drama,Akash said in his mind,"Mere saamne meriwaali pe line maar raha hai"and imitated Rohit,"Main tumhe taxi se ghar chor du?"and then continued,"Abey hat!Uske liye main hoon na.Baraa aaya."He went behind Ananya very silently without letting Rohit know and when she got a taxi,Akash,too, followed her home secretly with another taxi.

CHAPTER - 5
