CHAPTER - 6

In the evening,after returning from office,Akash took a shower.After the shower,he stood in front of the mirror,wrapping a towel in his lower waist.He moved his fingers on his hairs and looked at his image.He looked at himself from top to bottom and praised,"Vaah!Kya maintain kiya hai khudko.Saaley tere me dum to hai varna ladkiya tere pe ainvayi to nehi marti hai."Making a sad baby face,he continued,"Par aisi body shody banake bhi kya faayda,jisko marna chahiye vo hi nehi marti."He quickly corrected himself,"Na na marti hai par abhi gussa hai na isiliye thora bhao kha rahi hai."He turned against the window and a bit moved his feet with a song:

"KAB TAK RUTHEGI,CHIKHEGI,CHILLAYEGI.

DIL KEHTA HAI...

nehi nehi ye galat hai-

KAB TAK RUTHEGI,CHIKHEGI,CHILLAYEGI.

EK NA EK DIN TO YE HASEENA MAAN JAAYEGI.

haa ab thik hai aur vo na maanne wali hoti kaun hai,main manvaake chorunga.After all Iam...Akash Saluja"and winked.He opened his wardrobe to select a dress.He almost took out all his dresses,but none of them was according to his taste for the party.He got fed up,"Arey yaar ek bhi dress aisa nehi hai jo usey pasand ho.Kya karu..."Suddenly his eyes got stuck into his silver coloured blazer.He took it out alongwith one black high neck and blue jeans.He looked at the combination and had a flashback :-

It was their first date after confession.Akash,that day didn't come to office for its planning.He picked her up directly after the office.He was wearing that combination and Ananya was wearing white kurta with light blue Patiala.Akash gave a whistle and raised his three fingers in appreciation.He said,"Abhi ye haal hai.Shaadi ke din to tum meri jaan leke rahogi."Ananya blushed and said,"Ab chale!"But before getting up on the bike Ananya came closer to Akash and whispered,"Aaj bohot"after looking on both sides,"Sexy lag rahe ho."Akash smiled and dimple appeared on his cheeks.He acted,"Kya?Phir se bolna suna nehi."Ananya again repeated,but,hesitantly.Akash again acted,"Sunai nehi de raha hai yaar phir se bolo na."Ananya got irritated and she shouted in his ears,"Behre kahike!"Akash screamed by covering his ears,"Baap re baap kitni zor se chikhti ho.Shaadi ke baad to tum sach mein mujhe behra banaake chorogi."When they entered the restaurant,there was a slow rumour of "Ooo!" from all the ladies.Ananya glared at Akash and took her seat at the appropriate table.All were admiring him with their expression and Akash,above all,rather than feeling embarrassed before Ananya,was enjoying her jealousy.She made a fist and trying to control her nerves,which almost took all her patience.Akash ordered a cold drink for himself and one orange juice for Ananya.Suddenly,one girl got up from her seat to go to the washroom which was just behind Inshi's table.As she stepped beside their table,she acted of slipping and screamed,"Ouch!"Akash,immediately,out of courtsey,got up from his seat and gave her a hand.She looked into his eyes and very seductively held his hands and in a seductive tone,thanked him,"Thank you so much.Agar aap nehi hote to...pata nehi mera kya hota."Akash smiled.When she was about to get up,suddenly lost her balance and fall on Akash.Ananya,this time could not control herself and got up from her seat.She held the girl by her arms and said,"Bohot dard ho raha hai?Main thik kardu?"The girl got scared to see Ananya's expression and she somehow said,"No...uh-its ok.I c-can manage."The girl left.Ananya then turned towards Akash and mocked,"Bohot samaaj seva karne ka shauk hai na?To jao."She looked at his dress and threw the orange juice of her glass on him and said,"Sab kuch na is mare dress ke vajah se hua hai.Kabhi bhi agar ye dress tumne pehna na to dekh lena."He was standing like a fool and continued staring at her act,which was broken by Ananya's stamp on his feet.Akash screamed loudly.Ananya left angrily and Akash,too,followed her shouting her name.

Akash laughed and decided to wear this dress and said,"Usdin to per pe maara tha,dekhte hai aaj kaise react karti ho."He got down,called a taxi and headed towards the party venue.

Ananya and Rohit reached the party before Akash.Ananya was feeling uncomfortable and constantly pulling the frock downwards.Rohit put his hands around her arms and assured her,"Don't worry Ananya,tum kuch zyaada hi panic ho rahi ho.Bohot achchi lag rahi ho.Trust me."Ananya gave a fade smile.Suresh Avasthi was also invited into the party.Ashish Avasthi introduced Ananya and Rohit to Suresh.Suresh praised them,"To aap hi hai Miss Ananya Rawat and Mr Rohit Mafatlal.Bohot suna hai aapka naam."He addressed Ananya,"Aap ka jis bhi lafz se shukriyaada karu kam hai jo aapne hamara offer accept kiya.Main to aap ka zindagi bhar abhaari rahunga."Ananya replied,"Arey nahi aap kaisi baate kar rahe hai.Sir ne kaha aur main manaa karu aisa to kabhi ho hi nehi sakta."Suresh laughed.He looked here and there and asked Ashish,"Par Aashish yaar tumhara vo reporter kaha hai jo Miss Ananya ki madat karne US se yaha aaya hai aur jo is party ki shaan hai."At that moment,Kajal,suddenly shouted,"Hey!Hi Akash!"All the ladies of the newspaper office quickly surrounded him.Ananya,who,was continuously looking at the doorway,for him,her wait came to an end.She was very worried for him being late and gave a sigh of relief on seeing him.Akash looked at her and raised his blazer's collar to greet her.She looked at him,though she was angry because of the ladies,but still,unknowingly,a smile appeared on her face seeing the blazer.Ananya's look was broken when Ashish,pointing towards Akash, said,"Ye lo aa gaya vo."Suresh remarked,"Kaafi mashhur hai tumhara Akash Saluja...larkio ke maamle mein"and laughed loudly.Ashish,too,joined him.Ananya didn't like that remark and lowered her eyes.Akash,somehow managed to set himself free and came towards his colleagues.Ashish introduced Akash to Suresh.They both shook hands.They talked about here and there and Ashish again warned everyone not to disclose the actual reason behind Akash's arrival.While they were talking,Akash looked at Ananya and noticed her discomfort for the dress.At that moment,they had an eye contact.Akash smiled and blinked his eyes in a manner of giving her signal to be comfortable and not to worry as he was there.There was such a deepness of belongingness in his eyes which washed away all her discomfort in a second and she smirked.

Ashish,got up on the stage and took the mike and announced,"May I have your attention please!Bina music ke kisi bhi party ka mazaa nehi aata.So my dear beautiful ladies and handsome gentleman please enjoy the music."He ordered the musicians to play the music.They played a very cute music.There was a dim light creating a romantic environment and all the couples danced.Rohit and Ananya,too,joined the dance.Though Ananya was dancing with Rohit,but her eyes were constantly on Akash.Many girls approached him,but he politely rejected.Suddenly,Akash noticed that the back chain of Ananya's dress is slightly opened and very slowly,the hook was coming down.Akash's eyes became cautious.Ananya was dancing and swirling in Rohit's arm.Akash was slowly stepping near Ananya.As the hook was about to cross the danger line,Akash caught her.She was at an inch distance from his body in his arms and his hand was on Ananya's waist.He gave a seductive smile and slowly lowered his face to kiss her.She could feel his breath on her face and it was making her go mad.She clinched his blazer to control her nerves.Ananya closed her eyes with an attitude of surrender and the deep desire of enjoying the kiss when their lips were just a few mm apart but Akash instead of kissing her lips,carried his lips towards her shoulder while his hand was moving from her waist to the chain.He kissed on her shoulder and in that manner slowly closed the chain of her dress.With the last stroke of closing the chain,Akash pulled her towards him which made their body contact.He slowly raised his face and looked into her eyes.Ananya understood the reason of Akash's closeness in this manner.Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude and she felt like hugging him and cry,"Mujhe yaha aur ek pal bhi nehi rehna.Le chalo mujhe yaha se Akash!"By that time Rohit,who went for a drink,returned and was a bit upset to find them in that manner.At that moment,the lights were on and Ananya and Akash,got their sense and broke their closeness.

All clapped and Ashish welcomed the guests for dinner.Ananya,Rohit and Avasthi brothers were standing and gossiping while Akash was busy with other guests.Ananya noticed that some men were looking at her with a seductive attitude so,this time,she desperately wanted to go home.She pulled Rohit's arm,"Rohit chalo na chalte hai please mujhe ghar jaana hai."Rohit put his hands on hers and casually replied,"Relax Ananya abhi to party shuru hui hai,upar se ye hamare boss ne di hai.Abhi chale jaayenge to rude lagega,ok,so just chill."Ananya was so helpless.She thought,"Agar mera pehla waala Akash hota to mujhe usey bolne ki bhi zarurat nehi parti,vo khud hi koi bahaana banaake mujhe yaha se nikaalke le jaata."Akash was continuously noticing all her body languages and with her eye,his eyes too travelled in other directions and he acknowledged those looks.Suddenly,to Ananya's utmost disgust,a waiter,with a tray of drinks dashed on Ananya making her dress dirty.The waiter apologized many times.Ashish bashed him and asked him to move away.Sam screamed,"O God!Itni keemti dress kharaab kardi aur upar se tumhe bhi ganda kar diya.S**t."Ananya was so surprised as Rohit was more concerned about her dress rather than her.By that moment,Akash came and exclaimed,"O God Ananya tumhari to haalat bohot kharaab hai.I think you should return home now."All agreed and Rohit offered Ananya to drive home.Rohit was about to leave with Ananya when Ashish stopped him,"Rohit mujhe tumse kuch important baat karni hai."Rohit said,"Par Sir Ananya..."Ashish cut his words,"Usey Akash chor dega"looking at Akash,he continued,"Kyu Akash?Tumhe koi problem to nehi hogi na?"Akash was jumping from inside,but with normal reaction,he said,"No Sir bilkul nehi par mere paas car nehi hai."Ashish replied,"No problem meri car le jaao"and gave him his car key.Ananya and Akash left and Rohit continuously looking at them.When they reached the entrance of the hall,Akash opened his blazer and wrapped Ananya with that.He looked and smiled at Ananya,who felt the care in his eyes and they both headed towards the car.
