CHAPTER - 2

Shefali stormed inside the house and directly stopped inside Ananya's bedroom.Ananya was confused on seeing her like that and she asked,"Shefu kya hua?Tu itne gusse mein kaha se aa rahi hai?"Shefali replied,"Main airport gayi thi didi Captain Akash se milne."Ananya asked,"What???Par kyu?"She replied,"Kyu...tumhaari vajah se didi.Main unse ye puchne gayi thi ke aakhir aisi kya vajah hai ke unhone is tarah se aapse muh pher liya jo ki unhone kabhi nehi kiya."Ananya asked,"Kya kaha Akash ne?"Shefali replied,"Didi jab maine unko kaha na ke aap unse pyar karti ho,he was just stunned aur pata hai vo bhi aapse pyar karte hai."Ananya's eyes glittered with hope and she asked,"Usne aisa khud kaha?"Shefali replied,"Nehi khud nehi kaha par maine unke aakho mein dekha hai ke vo aapse bohot pyar karte hai kyuki jab bhi main unse baat karne ki koshish kar rahi thi vo baar baar mujhse apni nazreinchura rahe the aur mujhse bhaagne ki koshish kar rahe the.Isse to yehi pata chalta hai na ke vo bhi aapse pyar karte hai."The ray of hope which glowed in Ananya's heart again faded away and with a sad smile,she said,"Akash apni feelings chupaane mein bohot maahir hai.Uska chehra dekh kar tu kabhi uske dil ki baat ka andaaza nehi laga sakti hai.Ye sab tera vehem hai Shefu aisa kuch nehi hai.Akash mujhse pyar nehi karta hai."Shefali got up from the bed angrily and said,"Na kare to na kare par aap to karti ho na aur ye jo shaadi ho rahi hai isse koi khush nehi rahega,na aap,na Rohit aur na Akash.Aap to is shaadi ko rukwaayengi nehi to main hi chalti hu aur jaakar is shaadi ko rokti hu kyuki ye galat hai."Ananya grabbed Shefali's hand and then pulled her towards the window and then said,"Vo dekh sab is shaadi se kitna khush hai,sab kitne khushi se is shaadi ki tayyari kar rahe hai.Meri ma ko dekh vo isliye khush hai kyuki mera baap jisne meri ma se kabhi pyar hi nehi kiya,unki beti ko aisa na pyar karne waala pati nehi mil raha hai.Agar ye shaadi tooti na to meri ma ka dil aur unke sapne sab toot jaayenge.Please Shefu,meri ma ke liye kisise kuch mat bol.Main tere aagey haath jodti hu."Shefali held her hands and replied,"Please didi aisa mat karo.Par agar ye shaadi hui to ye vaise bhi zyaada dino tak nehi teekegi kyuki ye samjhaute waali shaadi hai to socho tab bua ka kya haal hoga."Ananya assured her,"Aisa kuch nehi hoga,tu dekh lena main shaadi ke baad,is rishtey ko puri imaandaari se nibhaaungi."Saying she hugged Shefali,though Shefali didn't agree to Ananya but she remained quiet just because of Ananya.

Few days later,Ananya's marriage preparations started with full swing.Just,one week before the marriage,Ananya thought of Shefali's words and then thought of talking directly to Akash about his behaviour towards her.As she wanted to move in into her new relationship,clean hearted without any back-log,so that she could be satisfied that she tried at least once.She told her mother that she was feeling very suffocated inside the house and so she just wanted to have some fresh air and her mother believed her and let her go.She took her car keys and and then drove towards Akash's home.After reaching there,she knocked at the door and Akash was surprised to see Ananya,in his doors and that too before her marriage.He asked,"Ananya tum???Itni raat gaye aur mere ghar ke bahaar??"Ananya asked,"Kya main andar aa sakti hu?"Akash replied,"Par Ananya aise time par tumhaara is tarah se mere ghar par aana thik nehi hai aur tumhaari shaadi hai kuch dino mein."She replied,"Thik hai to hum bahaar khare hokar to baat kar sakte hai na.Ya phir ye bhi galat hai?"Akash closed the door and came out of his home and asked,"Bolo kya baat hai?"In a painful tone,she asked,"Kya main jaan sakti hu ke mujhse aisi kya galti ho gayi ke jo aadmi mujhe apna dost kehta tha,usne aise achaanak se mujhse muh pher liya?"Akash was boggled as he never expected that Ananya would come at night to ask that question so directly and especially the question he himself was scared to face.He asked,"Kya matlab?"Ananya asked,"Tum mujhse is tarah se anjaano ke tarah bartaav kyu kar rahe ho Akash?Jaise ke tum mujhe jaante hi nehi ho?"He replied,"Dekho Ananya aisi koi baat nehi hai,main thora busy hu."She asked,"Kis kaam mein itne busy ho ke main jab bhi phone karti hu har baar tum mera phone kaat dete ho?"Akash had his phone in his hand and he secretly send an SMS to Natasha to quickly come to his house.He then replied Ananya,"Aisi koi baat nehi hai Ananya aur please ye sab faltu ki baate choro aur apne ghar jaao,waha sab tumhaara intezaar kar rahe honge.Is tarah shaadi se pehle tum itni raat gaye mujhse milne aayi ho socho Rohit ko pata chalega to usko kaisa lagega?"Ananya nodded her head in disappointment and then replied,"Shefu ne mujhse kaha tha ke tum...par maine yakeen nehi kiya and thanks to you for proving me right.Tumne...you just played with my emotions Akash,you just used me for your entertainment.Par main...main bewakuf ye samajh rahi thi ke..."She stopped and laughed sarcastically and said,"Mere saath yehi hona chahiye tha...I deserve it!!Thanks for everything Captain Akash Saluja!!!Thanks for your so called temporary friendship-" "Akash!!What happened???"Both Ananya and Akash looked at the way of the voice and found Natasha coming towards them.Natasha asked,"Tumne achaanak se mujhe..."Without letting her finish her words,Akash walked towards her and said,"Oh thank God Natasha ke tum aa gayi.Main ghar par bethe bethe itna bore ho raha tha ke.Chalo achcha hua ab hum night out par chalenge."He reached upto her and said,"I was so missing you Natasha!!"Saying he hugged her.Ananya's heart broke into pieces and she was feeling as if someone was stabbing her in her heart.Tears started running down from her eyes and she walked towards the gate.Natasha was confused seeing Ananya and she called her but Ananya didn't respond.Akash kept on looking at her as Ananya was walking.She again stopped to look at Akash and he again hugged Natasha.Seeing that,she walked straight.

Bolti rahi...aakhein meri...

Inko jo padhta tu agar...

Hota nahi...yu bekhabar...

Hota tu mera humsafar...

She stopped after reaching tha gate and turned towards Akash for the last time and found that he was talking all happily and smiling with Natasha.

Ruk ja jo ek baar kehta tu agar.

Tanha guzarta na apna ye safar...

Lamho ki guzaarish thi ye...paas aa jaaye...

She turned against them and left in her car and Akash left standing there with tears in his eyes.He apologized,in his mind,"Iam sorry Ananya par mere paas iske alava aur koi raasta nehi tha.Kaash main tumhe sach bata paata.Please mujhe maaf kar dena."After that Akash broke the hug with Natasha and then said,"Thanks a lot Natasha ke mera message milte hi itne short notice par tum yaha aayi ho.Thank you so much."Natasha asked,"Aakhir baat kya hai Akash?Kuch bataoge bhi?"Akash replied,"Ye Ananya bhi na itni raat ko achaanak se aise ghar par aa gayi so I didn't know how to handle her and so I called you."He started looking elsewhere and then something struck Natasha and she asked,"Tum Ananya se pyar karte ho?"Akash immediately replied,"No!!I mean no!!Tum to jaanti ho na Natasha main kya kaam karta hu.You know everything aur maine kabhi tumse kuch nehi chupaya hai aur main nehi chahta ke Ananya mere aas paas bhi rahe,it might cost her life jo main nehi chahta."Natasha asked,"To nazrein kyu chura rahe ho Akash?"He just avoided her and then started going inside and she too followed him.After getting inside his house,Natasha stopped him and said,"Tum jhut mat bolo mujhse you do love her aur tumhaari aakhe ye baat saaf saaf keh rahi hai.You can't lie to me and don't you dare to do so."Akash,in order to avoid the situation,said,"Kya sab baate lekar beth gayi Natasha.Chalo ye sab choro main tumhaare liye ek first class coffee banakar laata hu."Akash escaped into the kitchen and Natasha said to herself,"Akash saaf saaf mujhse jhut bol raha hai,par main bhi haar nehi maanne waali.Mujhe jaanna hi parega sach."Natasha remembered that Akash had the habit of writting diaries and so while he was in the kitchen,she searched for his recent diaries and she even got them.After that she immediately put them in her purse and then Akash came with coffee and they had their coffee.
