CHAPTER - 1
Ananya was standing in front of the window,all sad and worried,struggling to find out the reason behind Akash's sudden act of ignorance which was like a complete mystery.Everytime,she used to see Akash,her heart used to get filled up with the hope that today Akash might talk with her,even if a single word,but everytime,her dream used to get shattered.Ananya had a habit of playing with her finger when she was extremely worried or deep in thought.But the moment,while playing with her finger,when she touched the ring in the ring finger of her left hand,her heart bumped out loud and she realized that she had no right to think about Akash or any other man in this world,except...except her Rohit...it was exactly not her Rohit,but just Rohit and instead she was his Ananya,yes indeed she was and now she already belonged half to Rohit as she is already engaged to Rohit,but in her heart,she knew that she might physically belong to Rohit after their marriage,but her soul will always belong to Akash.When Rohit asked for her hand in marriage,all her family was very happy,except Shefali and Ananya herself because Shefali knew that though Rohit had many favours on them,but still Ananya never loved him.But after a lot of explanation,especially Shefali's mother who liked Rohit since he was very rich and Rohit's favours of course,Ananya accepted his proposal for her family's happiness and now her and Akash's marriage preparations were already finished.While she was standing in front of the window,Shefali came to meet Ananya.Ananya was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even realize when Shefali came and stood beside her and she returned to the present when Shefali put her hand on her shoulder.She asked,"Kya soch rahi ho di?"Ananya replied,"Kuch nehi vo...bas aise hi..."Shefali said,"Ye tum bhi achchi tarah se jaanti ho di aur main bhi ke tum Akash bhaiya ko kabhi nehi bhul sakti ho.To phir kyu kar rahi ho ye sab?Apne dil ko maar ke kabhi koi khush reh sakta hai kya?Aisa mat karo di please aur kiske liye kar rahi ho?Mom ke liye,unki baato ko to aap socho hi mat aur bua aur dadu sirf aapki khushi chahte hai kyuki unko nehi pata hai ke aap Akash bhaiya se pyar karte ho."Ananya replied,"Ab in saari baato ka koi matlab hi nehi reh gaya hai Shefu samajhne ki koshish karo.Meri sagaai ho chuki hai uske saath aur phir kuch hi dino mein shaadi bhi ho jaayegi.Sabko dekho sab kitne khush hai aur tujhe bhi to unhike vajah se Queens College of music mein admission mila hai.Main ye sab nehi bhul sakti hu."Shefali replied,"Par didi tum apne dil mein Akash ki tasveer lekar Rohit ke saath apni puri zindagi kaise bita sakti ho?Kya tab ye uske saath naainsaafi nehi hogi?Ye bhi to cheating hi hai na."Ananya said,"Rohit mujhse bohot pyar karta hai aur shaayad uske pyar ke vajah se ek din main Akash ko bhul jaaungi."Shefali sadly smiled and replied,"Bhula unhe jaata jo dil mein rehta hai,par vo...vo tumhaari har saas mein hai,har dhadkan mein hai aur aise insaan ko bhulna naamumkin hai di.Tum Akash bhaiya ko kabhi nehi bhul sakti.Isiliye kehti hu,ek din jaakar usse seedha seedha baat to karke dekho ke aakhir hua kya hai."Ananya replied,"Nehi Shefu,vo mujhse baat tak nehi karna chahta hai.Main usko hospital lekar gayi,thanks to chor usne mujhe waha se jaane ke liye kaha aur jab mere upar vo murder case chala,usne ek baar bhi phone nehi kiya mujhe.Uske dil mein mere liye kuch nehi hai aur aise insaan ke liye main us insaan ka dil nehi dukha sakti hu jiske dil mein mere liye jazbaat hai."Shefali said,"Aisa bhi to ho sakta hai ke shaayad unki koi majboori ho aur agar tum Rohit ko hurt nehi karna chahti ho to Akash ke baare mein sochna bandh kardo.Do naao par sawaar hokar zindagi nehi chalti hai didi."Ananya was getting very restless on hearing her words and so she asked Shefali to leave from there.
On the other side,in DIB office,Akash's laptop was opened in front of him but he had no attention towards that and instead he was seeing Ananya's photo in his phone.He was already sad and tortured from inside when he had to ignore Ananya and the last pin on his coffin was when he received the news of Ananya and Rohit's engagement.He said in his mind,"I know Ananya ke tum mujhse bohot naraaz ho par mere bhi haath bandhe huye hai,chahkar bhi tumse ye nehi keh sakta hu ke main tumse kitna pyar karta hu,par shaayad ab tumse kuch bhi kehne ka koi haq nehi hai mujhe kyuki ab tum Rohit ki hone ja rahi ho.Kaash aaj main majboor na hota to hum shaayad aaj ek saath hote.Par shaayad tum meri kismat mein hi likhi nehi ho."He gave a deep sigh and kept on looking at Ananya's photo."Akash ye reports tumne check kiya?"Akash's boss entered suddenly and on hearing his voice,Akash was alarmed and immediately changed Ananya's picture.His boss was very taken back with the sudden change in attitude of Akash.He asked,"Kya kar rahe the Akash?"He replied,"Kuch nehi aap kisi report ke baare mein baat kar rahe the sir?"The chief closed the file and said,"Maine notice kiya hai Akash ke jabse Ananya aur Rohit ki shaadi ki news aayi hai,tabse tum bohot upset rehne lage ho.I hope everything is okay with you."Akash,who was now extremely irked,with the constant involvement of his boss in his personal life,said,"Sir maine aajtak apna kaam puri imaandaari ke saath kiya hai aur aagey bhi karta rahunga.Maine apni zindagi apne desh ko di zarur hai par phir bhi meri zindagi mein bhi baakio ke tarah ek personal life hai,jisme main kisi ka bhi interfenece nehi chahta hu.So please!!Its a request!!Mujhe apna kaam aata hai aur mujhe baar baar ye yaad dilaane ki zarurat nehi hai ke main abhi duty par hu."Akash' boss understood that he was thinking about Ananya but he still didn't react over his anger and in turn was amused.He just replied,"Sahi kehte hai,ishq achche achcho ko nikamma bana deta hai.Khair!!Ye rahi Senior Mafatlal ka post-mortem report aur iske mutaabik unhe kaafi dino se electric shocks aur kuch aise medications diye ja rahe the jo shaayad unke jaise patients ke liye bilkul bhi thik nehi tha."Akash was surprised and asked,"To kya Rohit Mafatlal ko is baare mein nehi pata tha?"The boss replied,"Shaayad nehi kyuki unke dekh bhaal ke liye ghar mein nurses aur doctors ki line thi aur Rohit Mafatlal business mein hi uljha hua rehta tha."Akash said,"Phir bhi uska baap tha,kya usko itna bhi pata nehi karna chahiye tha ke usnhe kis kisam ke medications diye ja rahe the ya phir kya vo apne pita se baat bhi nehi karta tha ya uske behaviour mein changes ya kuch bhi.Thats so strange!!Ek hi ghar mein rehkar he doesn't even knew what exactly was going on in his own house."The chief said,"Shaayad Senior Mafatlal ko ye baat pata thi aur us doctor ne usko dhmaki di hogi jaan se maarne ki ya phir Rohit ko maarne ki agar usne muh khola to."Akash nodded his head and said,"Its not so simple as it looks like sir!!Khair!!Abhi mera flight hai main airport chalta hu."The chief nodded his head and Akash left from there.
While Akash was in the pilot's dispatch room,someone informed him about Shefali coming to the airport and looking for him.Akash was confused thinking why would Shefali be searching for him.When he came to meet Shefali,she gave a smile to him.Akash said,"Hi Shefali!!Kaisi ho?Ghar mein sab kaise hai?"Shefali stared at him for a few seconds and said,"Main thik hu Akash bhaiya aur ghar mein bhi sab thik hai par jiske baare mein aap indirectly mujhse puchne ki koshish kar rahe hai vo bilkul bhi thik nehi hai."Akash at first was not talking to her directly looking into her eyes but when she said that Ananya was not happy,he looked at her with all worried.He asked,"Kya hua Ananya ko?"She smiled and replied,"Maine Ananya di ka naam bhi nehi liya aur aap samajh gaye hai ke main unhike baare mein baat kar rahi hu."he again lowered his eyes and then said,"Ananya ki shaadi ho rahi hai Shefali,apni family ko hor kar jaayegi vo,thora dukhi to aise time par har larkiya hoti hai na.Tum fikar mat karo,Mr Mafatlal is a very nice guy aur vo Ananya ko bohot khush rakkhenge.Uh...Shefali...mere flight ka time ho raha hai mujhe der ho rahi hai.Bye!!"He turned against her and started walking,but Shefali,from behind said,"Akash bhaiya,didi Rohit se pyar nehi karti hai."Akash stopped and she continued,"Vo aapse pyar karti hai,duniya mein sabse zyaada,khud se bhi zyaada."He looked at her with shocking expressions.She came to him and said,"Aap kitne dino se unko ignore kar rahe ho,isliye vo bohot hurt hai aur vo ye shaadi sirf family ki khushi ke liye kar rahi hai kyuki Rohit ke bohot ehsaan hai humpar.I know ke Rohit bohot achcha insaan hai aur meri didi ko vo bohot khush rakkhenge paar mainye bhi jaanti hu ke vo agar kisike saath sahi maayne mein khush reh sakti hai na to vo sirf aap hai."Akash didn't know what he should say at that moment as he had already learnt to control his feelings.He said,"But Shefali mere dil mein aisa uch nehi hai."Shefali said,"Jhut!!Bilkul jhut hai ye baat,kyuki Ananya di ka naam sunkar hi aapne jis tarah se react kiya hai usse saaf saaf pata chalta hai ke aap unse pyar karte ho aur ye baat aapke chehre par saaf saaf likkha hua hai ke aap unse bepanah pyar karte hai.Ek insaan ki zabaan jhut bol sakti hai par uska chehra,uski aakhe kabhi jhut nehi bol sakti."She held his hand and said,"Akash bhaiya please agar aapki koi majboori hai to please aap dono ek dusre se khul kar baat kijiye,ya phir aap mujhe bataiye main baat karungi di se.Par please aap apne aap ko aur meri di ko is tarah se taklif mat dijiye."Akash a bit angrily due to his helplessness,said,"Shefali please mujhe der ho rahi hai.Bye aur tum ghar jaao,tumhaari behen ki shaadi hai aur waha dhero kaam hote hai."Shefali,too,in the same tune replied,"Filhaal to mera abhi sirf ek hi kaam hai ke jo kuch bhi galat ho raha hai usko rokna."Saying she too left from there angrily.
