Next morning,Shekhawat House was buzzing with people roaming from here to there,finalizing the arrangements for the Haldi Rasam of Veer. Ananya came down,dressed in a yellow lehenga with bronze colour sequined borders and with a simple side swept hair bun and adorning it,fresh jasmine flowers with minimal makeup. She looked really beautiful and royal. Aakash couldnt stop himself to check his wife out,that too infront of so many people.He shamelessly drooled on her and involuntarily said, ''Wow.. Beautiful.!''
Veer chuckled at his best friend's condition who was looking at Ananya continuosly,who was preparing the Haldi for Veer. Veer,keeping a hand on Aakash's shoulder,said, ''Kehte hai ki agar aap jisse pyaar karte ho aur aap usse yeh shagun ki haldi lagao,toh,pyaar barjata hai aur aanewale har janam keliye bandh jaate hai.. Aaj mauka hai aur dastoor bhi... Aaj Ananya ko apne pyaar ki Haldi mein rang do.. Kya pata woh tumhe maaf karde..''
''I hope so,Veer..'' Aakash replied,with a small smile..
Soon,Veer was called by his Dadisaa and his Haldi started.at first,Veer's Dadi applied Haldi and started the ceremony.Followed by all the married ladies,everyone applied Haldi on Veer. Aakash also came and smeared a handful of Haldi on Veer,making everybody around laughing. Veer pouted and glared at him. Lastly,Ananya came and applied Haldi to Veer. Veer smiled as his foster sister was enjoying the function.
As the function neared to its end,the Haldi was taken off from Veer's body and was kept in a fresh bowl to be taken to Anika's house. Veer was taken for a bath,while,Dadisaa asked Aakash and Ananya to take the Haldi at Anika's house. Ananya and Aakash nodded and zoomed off for Anika's house.
After a drive of 20 monites,Ananya and Aakash reached Anika's house,which was decorated very beautifully. Ananya and Aakash entered the house and was received by Anika's parents. Anika's parents' blessed Ananya and Aakash and asked them to come inside.
Soon,Anika came,draped in a baby yellow colour lehenga with minimal makeup and jewellery and a simple hair bun. Soon,the ritual started when Anika's mother applied Haldi on her and later on,all married ladies and guests applied Haldi on her. Ananya's facial expression changed when she saw Anika saw happy,during her Haldi. This made Anika really sad. She was feeling really uncomfortable. Aakash noticed the change in her and felt really bad for the behaviour of his in the past.
Ananya came back and went towards Anika and applied Haldi on her. Anika was so happy to see Ananya.
''Jaise Veer ne bataya thha,usse bhi kayi sundar aur acchi hai Ananya.. Kanha ji ka prarthnahai ki Aakash aur Ananya ke beech ki misunderstandings jaldi dur karde.'' Anika sent a prayer,silently.
Soon,the function ended and Anika was taken for a bath. As it was nearing evening,Ananya and Aakash took leave and left Anika's house.
All the while,Aakash thought about Ananya,who became sad during Anika's haldi. He could understand the depth of Ananya's pain,as it was inflicted by himself.
Soon,they reached Shekhawat Mansion..Ananya and Aakash had their dinner,took a quick shower and went to sleep. Ananya couldnt sleep because of the functions taking place which reminded her of her useless marriage with Aakash,which brought tears in her eyes. She was sobbing,silently. Aakash was thinking about his life back then and now. He was thinking as to how he could erase each and every pain of Ananya.
Ananya couldnt take the pressure of the pain in her heart. She swiftly got up from the bed and stood beside the window. Fresh air hit her face,making her open hair fly along with the tunes of the air. Hot tears fell from her eyes.Intensity was such that she covered her face and started crying. Aakash suddenly got up from the bed,hearing Ananya's silent cryies. He couldnt stop himself from running and hugging her tightly,from the back. For a moment,Ananya forgot everything and hugged Aakash tightly and cried loudly for a while,to release her pain. Aakash embraced her tightly,hiding her away from everyone. They stood in tha position for a long time.
Ananya,after coming back to her senses,pushed Aakash back and stepped backward. She couldnt believe what was going on. Aakash tried to come near her but Ananya stopped him by showing her hand,as if she saw a ghost. She quickly went back to the bed and covered herself and fell aslee,while reciting some mantras.
Aakash felt his world breaking down, he couldnt see his Ananya distancing him from her. He needed to do something to win her heart,love and trust back..
