Yes, my pet, and you had better start a new thread. I promise to comment on your take in well deserved detail!

That thread of Mandy's was closed before I could wish you luck for your poker session. Not that you need it, for I am sure you carry your luck with you!

Thank you so much, my dear!

Yes, I too am looking forward to tonight; it is so nice to have something pleasing to watch on Sunday evenings, for I cannot stand the Rawstar or Comedy Circus kind of stuff, or the endless dance competitions.

Oho, so you are Sunday's child, are you? Lovely!! No wonder you are smiling!

Thank a lot, my dear Khushi.

That was a priceless show, and Shafi Inamdar's untimely death was a great loss. He could do the whole gamut from pure comedy to serious stuff without stuttering. But slick comedy is the most difficult visual art form, and those old shows were superb. And clean, which is very important for someone of my generation.

I was in India only intermittently, once from 1974-1978 and then from 1988-1992, being out of India for the rest of the time, so till satellites ushered in global Hindi TVaccessibility I watched these shows only by chance. I have the whole of Chanakya and Mirza Ghalib on DVDs, however.

Shahi Inaamdaar, Swaroop Sampat, Satish Shah...Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi...absolute riot 😆...I still remember how my bros n I, as kids, used to record every single episode on VHS cassettes those days...n keep re watching each epi atleast a hundred times...n ROFL each time too...😆

Not to forget Rajesh Bedi n Tiku Talsania too...😆..."yeh kya ho raha hai???" 😆

Well, my dear, I am not anywhere near your record for Kahani, but I have watched it 5 times, and there was not a single plot hole in it. Marvellous, and the real top billing in the cast was for the city of Kolkatta. I knew that the writer for Airlines is the same lady, but it had slipped my mind. No wonder I was moved to praise the script so much in my first para!

Her fully rounded out cameos, so essential for this kind of show with a different central story in each episode, are a constant delight. I forgot to mention perhaps the best one so far, the doctor in Episode 1, with whose car Ananya has a bender. He was superb throughout, right down to his unreserved change of attitude towards Ananya at the very end.

I am with you 100% and more about Udaan. In those days, in Doordashan, they used to have excellent serials of all kinds, Buniyaad, Kakkaji Kahin with Om Puri, Mr. Yogi, Nukkad, Dil Darya & Doosra Kewal with a raw and appealing Shahrukh, Byomkesh Bakshi, Chanakya, the list is endless. Some of them are being retelecast these days, especially Chanakya & Buniyaad. Which is a blessing for me, as I was mostly abroad on diplomatic postings and never got to see most of them. There was a delightful one with Shafi Inamdar, Swaroop Sampat and Satish Shah whose name eludes me now. I never watched Diya aur Baati Hum, with that pudding faced heroine. My IPS friend, Kiran Bedi, could not be more different from this girl in every possible way.

Yes, our Ananya would benefit from a stint with Anupam Kher's classes, but for now, I am concentrating on the mystery. I specially want to know why Inde Air is being so secretive about Mahima's death, and whether she was a double agent.

So please make sure you stay with the serial and me, for I badly need someone who shares my interest in plot intricacies, as distinct from drooling over the lead pair! If I had been 35 years younger, I would have demanded better looks in the leading man,but he had an interesting and mobile face, which is some compensation!😉!

Good episode...
So Mahima is Akash's sis...There is no romantic angle...Like the way Akash did not wait for the minister...who was throwinf his weight around...Typical of our ministers and powerful ppl..They think they are above law...but we are also to blamed for encouraging them to think so...

Nice episode. Liked Aakash's reply to Karan and Rathod and overall, his support to Mahima's family as a rakhi brother. That minister was a namoona. The supporting characters are also doing good, Mahima's mother, sister, guess his name is Mr. Sen. Waiting for the mystery to unfold. Hope Natasha does not become a typical vamp, her possessiveness or jealousy is okay.

Another mindblowing analysis on episode 6 Syamala ji. I just loved the detail and depth of each analysis, making me want to rewatch the episode to appreciate it better.
Now I'm looking forward for your next analysis.

Btw just a suggestion, I hope that you make your analysis as a separate post so that others will also be able to read and appreciate it.

Thank you so very much! It is always reassuring when a new reader likes my posts, which are an acquired taste, so much. Look out for the one on Epsode 7 on Khushi's new thread in a day or so; I have reserved my slot on page 3.

I would be ready to do separate threads for Airlines, my dear Reva, as I used to do so for Jodha Akbar till April last. After that, I had no interest in posting episode analyses here as I did not like the way the place was run. I did 20 standalone episode analyses for all the 20 episodes of Yudh, however.

Now that I would want to do standalone episode analyses for Airlines, the problem is that the powers that be here have a penchant for pulling me up for anything and nothing, invariably taking me unawares. The last such rap on the knuckles was for discussing Akbar's siege of Chittor on, if I am not wrong, Mandy's thread. Now I did not know that historical discussions have, in that forum, the Jodha Akbar one, to be confined to a single designated thread. But ignorance of the law is not a valid defence in the courts, and similarly, ignorance of the rules would not be a valid defence in that forum either, I suppsoe. So, bingo, I was socked with another increase in my warning level, and now I cannot do stand alone threads.

This would normally not bother me much, as I was not interested in posting episode analyses on anything, but now Khushi has got me into this and I am stuck. I am afraid you will have to catch my takes on her threads for the present, but I promise to PM you, so at least you will not miss them.

Good Lord, the place is awash with Sunday's children! 😉But you, with your sunny apple cheeks, would have been a natural candidate in any case!

I am very pleased that you liked this one so much. I shall post my take on Episode 7 on page 3 of Khushi's new thread in a day or so, and of course I will PM you as usual.
