Just started watching this show, loved the first episode, it brought out these points:
- a woman entering a man's world and the nonsense she has to take from men and especially from women
- she is shown as a stickler for rules
- a slightly introverted but ambitious girl who was raised to follow her dreams
Could not tell what Akash was turning out to be - a friend or foe.
The second episode was more of the same but interesting in its own way. If that's the way they handle bomb threats on Inde and this airport I'm so glad it is fictional! That part was pathetic, but the rest of the episode was fine. Although Captian Akash is everywhere does he fly at all? But I must say - thank god the Star Plus heroine bashan was cut short๐
The third episode with Akash was completely stupid! Why do Indian women have to be seen as emotional and impractial ! It was obvious that the old woman was hiding something. Do they really let kalashs go through like that and as an airline employee that was irresponsible. She put the whole airport not just the plane at risk. Why are TV heroines depicted as such idiots! Also what happened to arresting the fool that smoked on the flight? That was a disappointing episode for me. It turned from a show about independence and following your dreams to the usual rubbish romantic nonsense.
Although I do like the chemistry between Akash and Ananya, the episode made her look like an emotional fool. I would rather my pilot be the idiot on the 4th flight than this woman! Not happy at all about this portrayal. Make them fall in love but don't make the girl a lesser human!
The 4th one was slightly better although the chase scenes again were a waste of time. One interesting dialogue , "you have X lakhs worth of cocaine on your hands and all you can think about is Natsha! Again a dig at how women are not focused - or a build up to - Akash is getting to her! I would have liked to see her remaining focused for a few more episodes!
But I think the white guy stuff was perfectly appropriate, although the dubbing was not very good with the actor going back to his Indian accent every so often!, Nevertheless, it is interesting how we are all so ready to break the rules in India for a white man!
The switch was perfect but there was no need for the suitcases being boarded together for heaven's sake - when has anyone had an experience on any airline where you check in 2 suitcases together and they come out together at the other end? So I did not see the point of it, that was an unnecessary filler. Also don't staff check in baggage through their own counter? Also for a person following rules didn't she see the line?' And finally could they not call the police, instead of taking stuff there.
From the promo - she is going to take things into her own hands - SP bahu style! I hope the episode is like the 1st or 2nd one please! it was an interesting start keep it that way! Although I must say they brought it up a little in the 4th episode!
