Star Plus' new weekend shows India's Raw Star' and Airlines' open at 4.5 TVM and 3.3 TVM, respectively. Zee TV's Neeli Chhatri Wale' opens at 2 TVM in Week 35 of TAM 2014

Week 35 of TAM 2014 was yet another dull week for Hindi general entertainment channels where all channels except Star Plus and Colors witnessed drop in viewership. There was also a change in the pecking order with Life OK slipping to No. 6.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 35 of TAM 2014 (August 24 - August 30) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead the pack followed by Zee TV at No. 2 and Colors at No. 3. Sony retained No. 4 position despite a huge drop in viewership this week. SAB TV overtook Life OK to become the No. 5 GEC this week while further loss of viewership pushed Life OK to No. 6.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 562 GTVMs with a relative share of 24.63% (last week 559 GTVM and 23.87% of relative share).
Zee TV was at No. 2 with a gross viewership of 462 GTVM and 20.25% relative share (last week 464 GTVM and 19.81% relative share).
Colors added maximum viewership this week and recorded 388 GTVM with a relative share of 17.00% (last week 377 GTVM and 16.10% of relative share).
Sony retained fourth position despite a loss of 49 TVMs this week in its gross viewership. The channel recorded 317 GTVM with a relative share of 13.89% (last week 366 GTVM and 15.63% of relative share).
SAB TV climbed one position to No. 5. The channel had recorded a gross viewership of 286 GTVM and a relative share of 12.53% (last week 288 TVM and 12.60% of relative share).
Life OK slipped to No. 6 position recording a gross viewership of 267 GTVM and a relative share of 11.70% (last week 288 GTVM and 12.30% of relative share).
The week also saw the launch of three weekend shows India's Raw Star' and Airlines' on Star Plus and Neeli Chhatri Wale' on Zee TV. India's Raw Star' opened at 4.5 TVM while Airlines' opened at 3.3 TVM. Zee TV's Neeli Chhatri Wale' opened at 2 TVM.
Top shows
Zee TV led weekday programming with four shows in the top 10 with two of its shows in the top 2 positions. Star Plus too had four shows in the top 10 followed by Colors and SAB TV with one show each.
Colors ruled the weekend with Comedy Nights with Kapil' at the top of the chart followed by Jhalak Dikkhla Ja'. India's Raw Star' on Star Plus was the third most watched show during the weekend in Week 35.

Jodha Akbar on Zee TV held No. 1 position this week with an average viewership of 8.9 TVM (last week 8.9 TVM).
Zee TV also held No. 2 position with Kumkum Bhagya. The show had an average viewership of 8.6 TVM this week (last week 8.1 TVM).
Star Plus' Saathiya jumped one position to No. 3. The show had an average viewership of 7.3 TVM (last week 7.2).
Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus slipped further to No. 4 this week with an average viewership of 6.7 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Jamai Raja on Zee TV held No. 5 position with an average viewership of 6.6 TVM (last week 6.7 TVM).
Qubool Hai on Zee TV was unmoved at No. 6 with an average viewership of 6.2 TVM (last week 6.2).
Colors' Sasural Simar Ka jumped one position to No. 7 with an average viewership of 6 TVM (last week 6.1 TVM).
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma on SAB TV slipped to No. 8 with 5.9 TVM (last week 6.2 TVM).
Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continued to be at No. 9 this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 5.3 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus was at No. 10 with an average viewership of 5.3 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).
Weekend toppers
Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors continued to lead weekend programming. The show fetched an average viewership of 7 TVM (last week 6.5).
Colors' celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa fetched an average viewership of 4.6 TVM (last week 3.9).
Star Plus' new weekend singing reality show India's Raw Star'opened at 4.5 TVM.
Sony's crime series, CID, fetched 3.5 TVM against last week's 3.7 TVM.
Airlines on Star Plus opened at 3.3 TVM.
Zee TV's Neeli Chhatri Wale' opened at 2 TVM.
Sony's second crime show, Crime Patrol, garnered 1.9 TVM (last week 1.7).
Shapath on Life OK dropped to 1.8 TVM (last week 2.2).
Colors' The Anupam Kher Show dropped to 1.7 TVM (last week 3.8 TVM).
India's Best Cine Star Ki Khoj on Zee TV dropped further to 1.4 TVM (last week 2.2).

Star Plus, Colors, Life OK and SAB TV gained viewership in Week 36 of TAM 2014. Riding on the maximum increase of 59 TVMs in its gross viewership, Life OK returned to No. 4 position pushing SAB TV and Sony at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 36 of TAM 2014 (August 31 - September 6) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to lead the pack followed by Zee TV at No. 2 and Colors at No. 3. Life OK, SAB TV and Sony were at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 591 GTVMs, a gain of 29 GTVM from last week. The channel's relative share was at 25.22% (last week 562 GTVM and 24.63% of relative share).
Zee TV witnessed marginal decline and recorded a gross viewership of 452 GTVM with 19.29% relative share (last week 462 GTVM and 20.25% relative share).
Colors grew by 11 TVM and reached closer to the 400-mark this week. The channel had a gross viewership of 399 GTVM with a relative share of 17.03% (last week 388 GTVM and 17.00% of relative share).
Life OK added maximum viewership this week and returned to No. 4 position. It was at No. 6 last week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 326 GTVM and a relative share of 11.70% (last week 267 GTVM and 12.60% of relative share).
