Raghav started narrating to Rajbir...

Flashback:

It was around 3 weeks since chief was missing and still there was no information as to where and how he was? Raghav had just started coming to office since a few days, he was on leave since then as he was very disturbed with that incident. Trisha was instrumental in bringing him out of his niche and with her emotional support, he could come back into his own to some extent and he joined the office now but he used to leave early. But still he continued to be very quiet and everyone understood the reason for his behaviour. Trisha knew that he had started drinking alcohol at night to see off his emotional pains. They all were supporting him in this very difficult time for him.

Trisha entered her cabin with a file in her hand. She looked very disturbed today and Raghav asked her as to what had happened?

Trisha: there is a bad news guys... higher authorities have decided that because chief is missing since so many days and there are not many pending cases left with us, our special team is going to be dissolved as they don't wish to give us a new chief till the time they are sure of his whereabouts. They have decided that all of us will be transferred to CBI in different cities and we have been given one month time to finish all the pending cases and the related paper work.

Everyone was very disappointed and shocked to hear this but they had no other option. Trisha told them that the authorities had given them the option of leaving the CBI and joining some other profession of their choice; if any of them wished to do that.

All of them got on with their work although none of them could concentrate on their work today; none of them talked to anyone today. Since so many years, they had been working together and now this team had become an inseparable part of their lives; they didn't know what their life would be like when they will not be together. Raghav became all the more worried at the thought of going away from Trisha. He always loved her and wanted to marry her but once he could complete the mission in his life. But today he was stuck up in a vicious circle; he wasn't able to catch hold of vidushak and Trisha was also going away from him in some days. He kept on thinking on what to do now; how to bring Trisha into his life forever as he couldn't imagine a day without her now.

Few days later, Trisha informed everyone that she had decided to leave the CBI and enter mass communication as her future endeavour as she was educated in mass communication. Everyone was surprised to hear this as they always felt that she was very passionate for her job and a girl like her, suddenly deciding to leave the CBI and join some other profession, didn't go down so easily with anyone but no one dared to ask her anything. Raghav was more worried than anyone else as he didn't have much time left with him, soon they all will be separated and he didn't know whether he will be able to meet her again ever or not.

He was going through a lot of emotional stress; on one side he had his mission which was not yet complete and he didn't even know how much time it would take to catch hold of vidushak. On the other side, there is Trisha whom he loves madly and won't be able to live without her, he could never imagine his life without her. He never wanted his past to have an effect on his future, that is why he didn't confess his love in front of her until now; but today his future seemed to be dark as his love was about to go away from him for ever. He decided after a lot of thought that he would confess his love in front of Trisha, he could not let her go away from him at any cost.

Next day in office, he was thinking the whole day as to how and what would he say to Trisha, whether he will be able to say whatever he feels for her or not and how will she react to his confession. In the evening, he asked her to come with him for coffee and told her that he had some important matter to be discussed with her. She told him that if its anything related to work, they could talk in office only, but he insisted in going out together as it was not related to work. She agreed to go out with him and they both went to their favourite restaurant nearby.

Trisha: kya baat hai Raghav? mujhe aaj yahan...achanak...whats the matter?

Raghav: Trisha tumse kuch kehna chahta hu... Tum mujhe galat mat samajhna...

Trisha: Raghav saaf saaf bataao, baat kya hai?

Raghav: I love you Trisha... Jab se tum meri life mein aayi ho, ek din, ek pal aisa nahi hota jab main tumhare baare mein nahi sochta. Tumse meri zindagi shuru hoti hai aur tumhare bina main apni life imagine bhi nahi kar sakta. Humesha se tumse pyar karta hu but kabhi keh nahi paaya kyunki darta tha ki mere past ki wajah se tumhe kuch ho gaya to... main tumhe khona nahi chahta tha. Par ab jab humari life aise mod par aa gayi hai jahan tum kuch dinon mein mujhse door jaa rahi ho, to bahut himmat karke aaj main tumse yeh sab keh paaya hu. Kya tum bhi mujhse pyar karti ho? Dekho tumhe dekhkar mujhe humesha lagta hai that you too love me but I want to hear it from you. Will you marry me Trisha, please... he said while holding her hand.

She shook her hand away from him and got up immediately, very angrily she said... what rubbish Raghav, tumne soch kaise liya ki main tumse pyar karti hu aur tumse shaadi karungi...how dare you... Tumne mujhe bahut hurt kiya hai Raghav, maine tumhe humesha apna bahut achha friend samjha hai aur tum... Tum to pata nahi kya kya soch rahe the mere baare mein. I never expected this from you Raghav, today you have lost my trust in you. She went out of the restaurant immediately and drove away towards her home.

Raghav was stunned at this response from her, he always thought that she loved him but could not express her feelings; but today the way she reacted was not at all expected from her. He could not believe himself, he kept on sitting there still for sometime, he had tears in his eyes and afterwards somehow he managed to go back to his home, he was absolutely shattered today. He decided to talk to her the next day and clarify things between both of them. After all he had never been wrong in his judgement about anyone's body language. Each and every gesture and action of Trisha always made it clear that she loved him, but what he saw today... what was that? He thought to himself.

Next day he was waiting for her to come but when she didn't come to the office, he enquired from Rajbir and Swati and they told him that she was on leave for next two days. He became very disappointed to hear this, but he somehow managed to compose himself and carry on with his work. His heart was not ready to accept the way Trisha reacted, there was something else which was bothering her, he thought.

Two days later when she entered the office, everyone was surprised to see her with a handsome guy. She came where everyone was sitting and introduced that person to everyone.

Trisha: hi everyone, I would like to introduce all of you to Dr Samrat, my fianc. He is a successful surgeon in US and we are getting married after 2 weeks. Aap sab ko humari shaadi mein zaroor aana hai...ok. Hopefully tab tak Bikram bhi theek ho jayega...

Swati and Rajbir congratulated both of them but Raghav could not say anything, he was absolutely shocked to hear this. He had never imagined in the wildest of his dreams that Trisha would decide to marry someone else. Trisha was constantly looking towards him but he just was not in a situation to make eyecontact with her. After few minutes he gathered his courage and got up and went close to her.

Raghav: congrats boss, may you get all that you deserve in your life... all the best to both of you and he went out of the room. Everyone was surprised to see him react like this.

He went inside his cabin and locked it from inside. He just could not control himself, he sat down on the floor and shed out all his grief through his tears. Today he had lost everything in his life, his love...his best and only friend...everything. He kept on sitting there like that for a long time and later when everyone left the office, he somehow managed to go back home. He just felt as if his entire life had come to a standstill...he didn't know what to do now... He was not in a state to discuss this with anyone...after all she had herself decided to marry someone else. No one had any right to interfere in her personal decisions, Raghav just couldn't do anything about it and he just gave in to alcoholism to forget his grief atleast for sometime.

Flashback ended...

Rajbir could not believe what Raghav told him just now, he didn't even know what to do to help him out in this matter. He just asked him to calm down and concentrate on his work for some time. Time is the best medicine...may be in some time Raghav will be able to forget Trisha, he thought. Rajbir left his house after some time and Raghav was again lost in his thoughts. Still he was unable to figure out as to what made Trisha marry someone else.

Few days passed off like this and he was not going to office. He knew that Trisha would be coming to office to complete the work before leaving for U.S with her husband. He had been repeatedly getting calls from Dr. Kamath since many days for his appointment but he was ignoring them as usual. One evening when Raghav was still lost in Trisha's memories, Dr Kamath entered his house. He couldn't believe what he saw, the condition in which he saw Raghav was never expected from a mature and understanding person like Raghav. He came close and sat beside him and kept his hand on his shoulder. Raghav was brought out from his thoughts and was surprised to see Dr Kamath in front of him.

Raghav: Doc aap yahan?

Dr Kamath: haan Raghav, main yahan...aana pada...itne dino se tumhe call kar raha hu par tum ho ki phone hi nahi uthate ho. Is se pehle tum atleast phone pick to karte the. So I thought that I should come and see for myself what exactly is the matter. But yeh sab kya hai Raghav? kya haal bana rakha hai...tum itni sharaab peene lage ho (seeing so many empty bottles on the table)? Baat kya hai beta, mujhe bataao...

Raghav could not hide his tears from him, only he was the one apart from Trisha who knew everything about his past. He told everything that had happened over these days. Dr Kamath very patiently listened to everything and asked him to calm down. Drinking is not the solution to any problem in this world and he would help him come out of this stress for sure, he said. He asked him to come regularly to his clinic for appointments as he had his mission in front of him, he had to come out of this grief if he ever thought of completing his mission in future. Raghav promised him that he would come to him regularly as he too wanted to complete his mission. He had lost Trisha for ever but he still wanted to keep the promise that he did to himself when his dad was killed. From now onwards he would try to never think about Trisha and just concentrate on his mission, he thought to himself.

Few days later, in evening Trisha came to his house with her husband. She was looking beautiful dressed up as a newly wedded girl. Raghav was surprised to see her here.

Trisha: andar aane ke liye nahi kahoge?

Raghav: oh...I'm so sorry boss...aaiye na...please...I didn't expect you here so I got a bit surprised... Waise aap yahan kaise?

Trisha: I went to office today to say goodbye to everyone but you were not there. So I thought that I should come here to say good bye and thanks to you...thank you Raghav for all that you have done for me. Kitni baar tumne meri jaan bachayi hai...

Raghav: aur tum meri jaan lekar ja rahi ho...he mumbled to himself...

Trisha: kuch kaha tumne?

Raghav: no I just said you are most welcome boss...

Trisha sent her husband out saying that she had some secret official details to be given to Raghav before she leaves for U.S and he went outside and waited for her.

Trisha: Raghav kal main U.S ja rahi hu. Tumhe bye bolna chahti thi...please apna khayal rakhna...aur apna mission...use tum zaroor poora karoge, I know that...uske baad kisi achhi ladki se shaadi kar lena...aur...

Raghav: aur kya boss?

Trisha: aur ho sake to mujhe bhool jana...please...I know jo maine tumhre saath kiya, tum mujhe kabhi maaf nahi karoge, but please tum apna khayal rakhna. I know I've lost your friendship for ever. But I would always remember you as my best friend. She had tears in her eyes and she couldn't control them.

Raghav saw her crying and came close to her. He never wanted to see tears in her eyes and today when he saw her crying like this, he unknowingly forgot everything that had happened between both of them and even that she was married to someone else. He placed his arms around her and took her in his embrace. She placed her head on his chest and cried her heart out. He too had tears flowing from his eyes and after sometime when she regained her senses, she realised that she was so close to him and she moved away. She just said I'm sorry for everything Raghav, please take care of yourself and went out of his house crying. He couldn't make out anything...each and every bit of her suggested that she loved him madly, but what was it that made her marry someone else? This was a big question the answer for which was so important for him. But he didn't know whether he would be able to find out the answer to this question and also...will getting an answer would help him in any way or not? He had no clue as to what life had in store for him in future.
