I don't understand why they had to make her fall in love with Malhaar. The brother had a great relationship, and I would hate for a triangle to happen and spoil that as the ML already have such a bad relationship with his Mom. Anyway, curious to see how the show goes and the characters plays out because so far I am not that hooked yet.

I have high expectations for this show. After watching several shows lately where the female lead is a pushover mahantha, its refreshing to see one that can stand on her own two feet, one that did prioritize her goals and STILL has the good virtues of a dutiful daughter and being highly moral.
The love triangle also seemed weird to me. Why show both her and Malhar in true love if they are not meant to be together. The fight between brothers should be about Kesar ma's actions, rather than Sumedh's wife. Complete unnecessary.
Anyways, looking forward to seeing how this all plays out!

Me too!! I don’t want the brother to be enemies because we’ve seen so much of that same storyline and I can’t take another one🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I loved Diya Aur Bati because of the wholesome family dynamic but I am not liking these families and both the ML and FL families are not giving me good dynamics. Anyways I hope it gets better
Is this a remake of DABH? Some of the themes are similar, although mother-son relationship is a bit strange. I just caught an episode. Need to go back and watch from the beginning.
Apparently it’s a remake/sequel but not related to any of the characters in DHBH, so confusing. There are similarities in the storyline but let see
They have few hints of DABH like the female lead wants to be a IPS officer but that's it.
It's much more then that... With the entanglement of how Kesar Baa is responsible for Rukmini's mother death. Sumedh and Kesar Baa relationship as he is a illegitimate child of her hubby which she can't accept and how he is treated differently. Sumedh and Rukmini knew each other in childhood. The Malhar and Rukmini angle. Much more links then DABH had within the female and male lead.
Also I find its alittle like Raazi movie too since it seems Rukmini will go undercover being a IBS in the house (from the very first few promos)
This show is interesting... I wish they reduce the family drama and come to the plot shown in the promos... Even I didn't like the love angle with Malhar... Then I wondered if Malhar is grey shaded... we see him bully Sumedh at a young age... so maybe he is the link with the main Villain... We know dollar is still out there... What if the mission is about dollar?
