Tube talk

Vivek Oberoi has finally grown up. In a recent televised interview on Sajid's Superstars the actor candidly spoke about his life and the mistakes he had made. When asked as to why he felt the need to apologise to Salman publicly, (which the skeptics termed as a publicity stunt), he replied that he had hurt Salman through a press conference and therefore felt he owed a public apology to the star. Further he added that realisation had dawned on him only after he watched a star interview where someone was insulting him.

Obviously the reference was to Jaya Bachchan's tacky remark on the Karan Johar show. Vivek confessed that his mother while watching the show had tears in her eyes as the remark hurt her deeply. That's when Vivek realised how much grief he caused Salman's mother through his actions. He also admitted that while he took his own time to apologise, he doesn't expect Salman to forgive instantly. That sounded reasonable and whatever doubts one may have had about his intentions were put to rest. Let's hope Salman not just forgives but also evolves in life.

As does Sallu's pal Aman Varma. The latest buzz is that Aman and his co-star actress Indrani Halder don't get along on the sets of Sujata. Despite the fact that the co-stars live in the same building, all they do is apparently exchange formal hellos. While Indrani was diplomatic enough not to elaborate on the reasons behind this squabble, what is commendable is the fabulous on-screen chemistry they share. They look so lovey-dovey on the show, playing the devoted couple that it's hard to imagine their off-screen animosity.

I guess that's what good acting is all about. Even in the past there have been several instances of co-stars not gelling be it Shweta Tiwari and Ronit Roy of Kasauti fame, who have since then made up. Shweta's troubled marriage and her subsequent separation from her husband apparently thawed Ronit's heart and the two are now very cordial with each other. So, there is hope for Indrani and Aman!

But one can't say the same about the demented participants of Bigg Boss. There is seriously no hope for the likes of Sambhavana Seth who is probably one of the most manipulative characters. It's incredible how she swings back and forth from one group to another, carrying tales and then promptly bursts into tears in front of Bigg Boss, talking about how she is being persecuted on the show. Seriously, this Bhojpuri item girl would sure be any psychiatrist's delight.
