Chinni Prakash is arguably one of the most famous choreographers in Indian cinema. More than 20 dance
masters who have worked under him as assistants have moved on and are
working as independent choreographers. He mainly works for Hindi and Kannada films and is currently working for
Gulama starring Prajwal and newcomer Biyaanka.
Now, he is planning to shoot a mammoth
song featuring 10,000 dancers. He is contemplating the song for a Shahrukh Khan
movie and is hoping that his dream would materialize by 2010. He is expecting to invite these 10,000 dancers from
dance associations from all over India. Knowing that it would be a difficult task to gather this large number of dancers, Chinni is contacting all his assistants who work for different dance associations.
The
budget of the song will be Rs.10 crores and if it materializes, it will be a world record.
Recently, he used 500 dancers and 2500 extra artistes for a song in Veer featuring Akshay Kumar and Rani Mukherjee, produced by Yash Raj Films. The song, which has a length of 6 minutes has entered the Guinness Book of world records and its cost is estimated at Rs.3 crores.
