Smita,😊

Here is the interpretation to Section 1 of Part 44.

The day of the wedding dawned with a bright sky without even a hint of a cloud. It was a day when Sanka Devi and her Sanka Dev, Anamika and Ganesh were to tie the knot. Hoards of workers descended on the house to complete the various jobs that were assigned to them. To fix lighting, to set up a temporary kitchen, to shift the furniture in the main hall and build a mandap fit for the gods there, decorate the hall with aromatic strings of roses and rajnigandha... It was a beehive of activity. The hustle and bustle in the house, loud laughter, teasing galore, shared looks and secret smiles of the couples, appreciation of bridal lehengas that Anamika had brought for both Khushi and herself with oohs and aahs, checking out the boxes of jewellery, Mami strutting around with green and blue eyeshadow on either eyelid and asking the rest to choose the best of the two for her, Mamji beseeching God humbly with folded hands to be spared of the torture of having to select his wife's look for the function, NK, Akash, Arnav and Ganesh pitching in and helping the workers, Payal and Anjali busy running around checking the last minute details, Buaji talking about her once upon a time slim waist at the time of her wedding, Nani reminiscing the wonderful moments of her own wedding...

Anamika and Khushi smiled at one another, for being in the hub of activity. Their heart gladdened to be surrounded by people who showered them with love and affection. While they were enjoying watching all these activities, Nani came to them and handed over two jewellery cases. Khushi was given a diamond, ruby and emerald set that was an absolute stellar to look at and took her breath away.

What do diamonds rubies and emerald stand for?

Diamond stands for purity, preserves peace and prevents storms.

Emerald stands for immortality, incorruptibility, conquors sin and trial

Ruby is for charity, dignity and divine power

Khushi whispering, it is so beautiful Naniji, hugged the sweet natured elderly lady overcome by the love showered upon her. Throwing her arms around her she hugged her tight making Nani smile and say, it would look beautiful on Khushi Bitiyaa, Let go of her. Her bones were too frail and she was not her Arnavji who could bear to withstand her tight embrace. Her teasing made all laugh and Khushi cheeks go rosy and fall prey to the bridal bashfulness. Nani seeing her turn pink further teased her saying, look! Now she has become an embodiment of shyness. But yesterday during her haldi she was the one clinging to him saying, she wanted to be with him day and night and now when it is time to spend her life with him she is overcome by shyness? All laughed at Khushi's expense making her cheeks aflame all the more.

When Anamika opened the case given to her, she found inside the ornate box lay an antique set of pearls, jade, diamonds and rubies.

What do pearls, jade, diamonds and rubies stand for?

Diamonds and Rubies we already know.

Pearl symbolizes overcoming adversity through radiant transcendence. It has become the symbol of purity and innocence and it represents the hard-won goal.

Jade stone stands for purity and purification. Along with gentleness and nourishment, protecting and supporting loving heart energy. Jade is also a protective stone, guarding against accidents and misfortune.

As she gently ran her fingers over it, she tried to blink back her tears that were threatening to fall down. Seeing a silent Anamika, an anxious Nani wondering whether her old piece of jewel was not to her taste asked her, was it to her liking? Anamika managed to say, that it was beautiful. But it looked like a heirloom piece. Khushi nodded as her gift too looked so too. Nani told them, so was it. Nanaji was fond of buying jewelery and she was fond of wearing them. Both of them were gifted to her by him. Her explanation had Khushi and Anamika protest and Khushi say, that Naniji should keep it with her and not give it away. Anamika concurred and said, that she could not give away family heirlooms to her and it should be with the family itself. Buaji hitting her head with her hand invoking the name of her diety, Nandkisore told them, Look here! It will definitely remain within the family. Aren't you both a part of the family? Nani nodded to confirm and said, now that you both belong to the family, it is your right to wear those and do your Nanaji proud! Khushi and Anamika looked at each other touched beyond words. Nani blessed them with, it was given with love and wear it with love and be happy. Nani was enveloped in a tight bear hug by both Khushi and Anamika, squeezing her that made her laugh and say, that she had no intention of joining her husband so soon, not until she has witnessed both the weddings. Her response had all laugh out loudly.

The loud roar, HP! from Arnav brought HP running to him as he was, with a stool in hand. ASR told him that, he needed a glass of orange juice. HP, offered to get it immediately, but ASR told him feeling a bit sheepish that was unusual for him, Err... no... You are busy... making HP wonder as to why was Arnav Bhaiyya so considerate to him all of a sudden? When he was gently told, ask Khushi to bring it, he knew why the roar had turned into a meow? Hiding his smile, saying, yes Bhaiyya! he left the room in search of Khushiji. Khushi who was surrounded by the ladies from both the families was engrossed in her talk. It put HP in dilemma. If he asked her to take juice to Arnav Baiyya in their hearing, they would not let her and he would be the target of Arnav Bhaiyya's wrath. It made him sigh. He was always in a fix with Arnav Bhaiyya's shouting, Anjali Didi's crying, Mamiji's catwalk and English, and Laxmi's love for him (haha..)... While he was pondering over his fate at the hands of ASR when he took the juice to him, he felt a presence by his side. Mami had come by and asked him in her Hinglish, what was he doing there? was he looking at ladies? Hello Hi Bye Bye! HP turning his head to answer her, felt frissons of fright run through him rendering him speechless. Mamiji with her curlers on, looked like an apparition right out of horror stories. Not being the one to let go off the opportunity to snoop around, she asked him, to tell her what was he doing. HP with a resigned sigh told her that, Arnav Bhaiyya wanted a glass of unsweetened orange juice. Mami asked him, what was the difficulty with that? Has all the oranges disappeared from the kitchen? HP informed her, that Bhaiyya wanted Khushiji to give him the juice. How can he call her out from amidst the crowd? What excuse can he give? And if he does not call her... The very thought made him shudder. Mami with a nod said, Hhmmm... Manorama Bond at your service HP! She would have to do something about it! While she thought long and hard, HP's eyes kept darting towards Arnav Bhaiyya's room. Mami with a click of her fingers told him, that she knows what is to be done. She would bring Khushi and he better wait there.

Mami strutting into the room exclaimed, Khushi Bitiyya, your face looks pale! All looked at Khushi's face and found it to be as usual. Mami told her, that she has kept a gift for her in her room and asked her to come with her. She would give her the gift and show her how to apply the blush and the eye shadow. Ignoring Khushi's protest and cutting it midway when she said, Mamiji..., she declared, when elders call younger ones need to obey, and asked her to go with her and started to move. Buaji and Amma nudged her to follow Mami asking her not to rile Payal's mother-in-law. Khushi obeyed and followed Mami. Mami on reaching HP declared, Operation Successful. It made Khushi ask her, whose operation? Who is in the hospital? With a sigh Mami dismissed her saying, she was not upto the caliber of being Manorama Bond's assistant. She was fit to be in circus itself! She better go with HP and tame her growling lion! Saying so she strutted away, but Khushi was left in confusion.

As soon as Arnav heard the sweet knock on his door, he was at the door and opened it to see Khushi standing before him with a tray in hand. It had a mug of black coffee, a glass of orange juice and a pot of lemon tea. While he stood staring wondering about what it was, she walked in and placed it on his laptop table. When he asked perplexed, what were all these? She told him, they were all that he drinks, or else Mamiji will have to help HPji time and again to call her out of her bedroom under some pretext or the other. Arnav looked at her with a slow smile blooming on his lips. He confessed, that it was a ruse to get her as he wanted to see her. Khushi with a frown told him, that it was too bad. Arnav once more perplexed with a frown trying to decipher what she meant by her statement prompted, too bad? Khushi's, Hhmm, with a nod and sighing saying, that she had thought atleast a kiss was called for, for taking such a risk. Anyway it does not matter. Khushi did not even have time to complete her wail, when she was taken into a snug embrace and swathed with kisses all over her face. Khushi stood still, feeling the thrill at the spill of his passion, bathing in the warmth of his love, loving the feel of his hard lips on her face, floating away with the force of his love... Her enjoyment at his ardour made him promise, that he will make sure that she will have no cause for complaint and he would meet all her demands like a good other half should.

This update is about confer or present of an honour, right or gift.. BESTOW.

The day of the wedding was bright without any clouds in the horizon. The two couples were bestowed with a bright day to be their wedding day. RM was a beehive of activity and gaiety. The entire mansion was being decorated and filled with the hustle and bustle of workers and RMwasis were one happy campers. Their one long standing wish was being granted and all their hard work was being rewarded. Their Chottey and Sanka Devi were getting married after seesawing a lot and the last piece of the jig saw puzzle was being fitted in. Along with that Anamika and Ganesh too were getting married that was an honour handed out to them. It was a day where everyone was enjoying and had let their hair down. Anamika and Khushi were extremely happy to be ensconced in the warmth and love of such a parivaar. Amidst such surroundings, Nani handed over two jewellery boxes to them. One held a diamond, ruby and emerald set for Khushi and the other an antique set of jewels in pearls, jade, diamonds, and rubies for Anamika. By giving these family heirlooms, Devyani Raizada welcomed the two brides into the family. She conferred them with the status of daughters and granted them their rights in the household. Khushi, she welcomed as her grandson's bride and Anamika as a valued member of her family. Imparting the status of the family member, Nani gave Anamika a much needed emotional anchor that had eluded for the past 20 years or so. Her subsequent explanation, "Now you both belong to our family. It is your right to wear these and do your Nanaji proud! Woh pyaar se hamein diye rahe... You wear it with love. He will be happy." touched their heart like nothing else could. Nani's words were a gift for them to cherish more than the jewellery pieces themselves. This made them envelop her in a big bear hug, and elicit a response as to she had no intention of joining her husband in the other world till she had witnessed both weddings. It was her way of showing that she too was touched by their gesture. At her age, jewels held not much of importance. The love and warmth of the people around her meant a world to her. With their gesture, Khushi and Anamika too had imparted a gift to her, the gift of being loved. With Khushi, she realized that her daughter's wish of having Arnav marry a girl, who would be able to withstand his temper and bring in a calming influence had come true. She had also witnessed how attached they both were. They needed to be within each other's reach all the time. She was happy that she was able to fulfill her daughter's wishes entrusted to her.

~ Deborah Day

When HP was in a dilemma as to how to call Khushiji away from the rest to enable her to take juice to Arnav Bhaiyya as per his diktat, Mami came to his rescue. She offered to get Khushi away from the crowd and enable him to escape Arnav Bhaiyya's wrath. Mami under the pretext of gifting Khushi a make-up set and teaching her how to use it brought Khushi out of the crowd and made HP a happy man. Mami by comparing Arnav to lion and Khushi as trainer has honoured Khushi with her love and trust that she was the only one capable of fulfilling her sister-in-law's last wish. She has also bestowed the time alone for both Arnav and Khushi, as others knowing that Khushi was with Mami would not dare to enter her room lest they be forced to apply make-up like Mami herself.

"The excellence of a gift lies in its appropriateness rather than in its value"

~ Charles Dudley Warner

When Khushi brought in a mug of black coffee, a glass of orange juice, and a pot of tea with lemon, a perplexed Arnav was told that it was for catering to his needs and save Mamiji from coming to the rescue of HPji every now and then to comply with Arnav's diktat. All the three were what he usually took. She had offered him a choice. Her explanation had Arnav admit that the juice was just a ruse to get her there. But Khushi's frown and remark, that is too bad, perplexed him once more. Her explanation, that it was too bad for not being accorded with reward of at least one kiss for risking to come over, had him gather her in his arms and making up for his remiss, bestow her with kisses all over her face lavishly. Khushi was like a cat that got the cream, lapping it up purring with thrill of having granted what she wanted. His whispered promise of keeping upto her expectation that night and awarding her with all she wanted and some more was something both of them wanted very much and were looking forward to.
