Smita,😊

Here is the interpretation to Part 33.

Raizada Mansion looked magnificent decorated with the dainty fairy lights, golden glow of the diyas, strings of marigold in shades of orange and yellow along with colourful gossamer silk drapes that made it look as though one was gaining an entry into the fairy world. An arbor that was resplendent with fragrant flowers was arranged in the place of a bedecked dais for the engagement that evening.

Gaurav, though wheelchair bound was a happy sight to see. With NK beside him he was all smiles and was getting a detailed description of things to come that evening. NK told him that Buaji, who would be representing the family of his Papa, would be placing the tikka on his mother's forehead and Di, would be doing the same to his Papa. Then Di, would be tying the sacred thread as an amulet on his Papa's arm. After that, would be the time for ring exchange. He was repeating the information that he had gleaned out of Buaji. Gaurav, was one happy child who got to see his mother getting married, that too to his Papa, which was a dream come true. Scooby, that was standing beside his feet was told by Gaurav, not to runabout knocking things. NK advised it, not to enter his Nannav's room even by chance, as his wrath was devastating enough to singe its hair. As though acknowledging, their well meant advice that needed to be heeded, it wagged its tail.

Gaurav watched, Nani, Mami, Buaji, and HP flit around checking all the arrangements. Amma, was standing by Babuji, keeping him company and attending to his needs. Payal was with Khushi and Anamika was taken over by Anjali, to be helped into their special wear.

Buaji's exclamation, Haven't the boys come down yet, Nandkisore? made Gaurav smile. His Papa and Arnav, being referred as boys was quite funny! As though it was not enough, Mami's, The baijj (boys) bant to do lipshtick, roojj (rouge), and other makeuppiya like their Mami, had them all in splits. HP who was always silent and in the background was seen guffawing, letting his imagination run riot with images of Ganesh and Arnav in full make-up like Mami!

The laughter stilled, as all eyes saw Ganesh and Arnav coming down the steps, followed by Akash. All the three were in sherwani, Arnav in pearl white, Ganesh in inky black, and Akash in pale green. Mami dramatizing her appreciation, clutching her heart, asked her mother-in-law to support her. She would swoon at the sight of these handsome fellas! Her appreciation, along with effusive compliments from others, had both Arnav and Ganesh, turn into the shades of beet.

Buaji sidled over and whispered to Ganesh, that he need not cower at the sight of a razor. Once in a while it could be made use of and hair could be given a cut too. When groomed so, he would look as good as her Nandkisore! Her stage whisper had Ganesh in chuckles, and Arnav in smiles.

Suddenly the atmosphere of the hall changed. The talks and laughter, were replaced by hushed silence, when Anjali brought in Anamika. With her immaculate coiffure in a smooth coil, just a tendril or two kissing her cheek, Anamika looked priceless, as she got down the steps. She had minimal makeup and jewels that highlighted her saree. It was a silver goossamer saree that was embroidered and encrusted with silver, baby pink and pearl, sequins, beads and crystals, with baby pink and black border in applique. The border had once again, beads and crystals along with sequins, sewn over it in pearlish baby pink on the pink applique and pearlish black on the black. It gave the look of stars spread all along the saree. The Pallu had small tassels of pearlish silver giving it a definite, yet softened edge. The fall and drape of the saree was such that, it flattered her figure. When she walked it looked as though the stars were twinkling reminding one of the wonderful sight of the Galaxy, The Milky Way.

Buaji nudged Ganesh, who looked quite smitten at the sight and was unable to look away, and said, Anamika bitiyya looks beautiful, doesn't she, Nandkisore? Ganesh nodded wholeheartedly without taking his eyes off her. Buaji with a sigh wondered aloud as to, why she was always dressed up in trousers and shirts like men. She said that, girls these days tried to look like men, No hair! No front or back! No earrings! No kajal! And so skinny that a strong wind could whisk them away like a dry leaf. Her wondering aloud made Arnav and Ganesh chuckle.

Arnav looked up the stairs to get a glimpse of his Khushi. Anjali who was observing him smiled at his eagerness, nudged and with a smirk, asked him, whether he was searching for Khushiji? Arnav reddened at being caught but asked his sister, was it time for the sagai, Di? Her laughing, have patience, Chotey! had him mumble that it had been 28 years, making her peal of laughter, turn all heads towards them.

Anamika with a smile showing how happy she was, joined Ganesh and Gaurav. When Ganesh complimented that she looked beautiful, she told him that it feels strange to dress up. Nani, Amma, Buaji, Mami, Gaurav and Anjali hugged her, whilst Scooby pranced around her feet. His antics had all in laughter.

NK's enthusiastic exclaim, Khushiji, had all train their eyes at the stairs. Payal draped in a red saree was helping Khushi down the steps. She was in a pink coral and purple lehenga with borders embroidered in floral patterns of Mughal floral motifs along with leaves and vines, in silk, silver and gold threads studded with pearls and crystals. All over the body and the duppata white flower motifs in silk lace with pearls and crystals were woven. Her choli in purple was sewn with pearls and crystals with gold and silver embroidery. Her dupatta in pink coral tulle silk, was neatly draped and pinned at her shoulder. The hair was left open and held behind by a jeweled clip. She had coral pink and purple bangles that had stones encrusted glittering in between them. Her necklace was of tanzanite surrounded by small diamonds, both with princess cut, along with matching earrings and maang tikka. It made her whole persona radiate with vibrancy.

Arnav smiled, with his molten caramel eyes shimmering with love for her. Khushi looked stately, rich, ravishing and complete, an enchantress. When she lifted her eyes to meet his, she could see his appreciation reflected in it, making her blush fetchingly.

As he held out his hand, Khushi placed her hand in his, smiling into his eyes. Nani smiling at them said to her Chotey and Ganesh, that it was time for the the sagai. Both nodded and Nani, Mami, Buaji and Anjali led both the couples to the arbor and made them stand in their place. When Khushi leaned towards Arnav with her arm touching his, he whispered, two down and four more to go, making her giggle. Arnav whispered, that she looked beautiful and Khushi told him with her eyes aglow with love, that Anamikaji had sent the lehenga the previous day with a note that read, A colourful lehenga for a joyous and colourful Khushi Kumari Gupta! Arnav lowered his head to hide his smile.

Ganesh whispered to Anamika asking her, was she happy? With brilliantly lit eyes she told him, that she was very much so. Both looked at Gaurav, sitting in his wheel chair beaming his teeth at them, giving a thumbs up sign. Anamika, slipped her hand into Ganesh's warm ones and received a gentle, yet reassuring squeeze.

When Buaji, looking at the family and asked, Shall we begin, Nandkisore? NK asked her, Why was she asking him? Anjali hit his arm for being so obtuse and said, yes Buaji. Let's. Their Chotey was getting so impatient that if they do not conduct the sagai now, he will fume and walk off in anger. Mami added, he would walk of Anjali Bitiya, but not alone. He would drag Khushi along too! and finished it off in a flourish with her signature statement chuckling, Hello Hi Bye Bye! Though all had a hearty laugh Arnav pretended to frown making NK say out, look Nannav is getting angry. So let us carry on with the ceremony.

Buaji applied tikka on Anamika and Arnav's foreheads, and Anjali applied tikka on Ganesh's and Khushi's foreheads. Buaji, then tied a raksha dhaga on Arnav's arm and Anjali tied on Ganesh's arm. Next it was the exchange of rings. While Khushi had two heart shaped rubies slid on her finger by Arnav, Ganesh slid the platinum band with the nine diamonds on Anamika's finger. Then Khushi slid the white gold plain band on Arnav's finger and Anamika placed platinum band on Ganesh's finger.

This scene had all the ladies in tears making NK worried. With genuine confusion he asked, Maasi, Naniji, Buaji, Di, Why were they crying? Wasn't it good that Khushiji was brave enough to marry Nannav?, while Gaurav was smiling like a Cheshire cat.

Khushi looking at the ring on Arnav's finger with a mischievous smile questioned him, now that he was her's, where will he run when she teases him? Arnav giving his breathtaking smile, and holding her eyes in a steady gaze whispered, Who said he will want to run, Khushi soon-to-be Arnav Singh Raizada?

This update is about emotions and feelings.

Ecstatic, feeling great rapture or delight.

It is RHAPSODIC.

It begins with the aura that is surrounding the RM. Decorated like a bride, it exudes the happiness that is surrounding the ceremony that is to take place inside. The feeling of delight among those who are inside is depicted with the decoration.

Gaurav though bound to wheel-chair is happy as a clam. He is ecstatic to witness, his Mama marrying his Papa, a dream come true. He is like a dog with two tails.

NK is also elated to be part of this celebrations. In his enthusiasm, he gives Gaurav details of the ceremony that he had gleaned out of Buaji and later, both he and Gaurav warn Scooby to present its best behavior and not to make them call out, Scooby Dooby Doo where are you?

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions"

~ Dalai Lama XIV

Gaurav saw the ladies of the clan flit around along with HP ensuring that all arrangements were to their satisfaction. They were overjoyed to have the two couple agree to wed and unmindful of their age they were arranging things to perfection. To those ladies, Arnav and Ganesh were boys but Gaurav was tickled to hear them being called so. In their excited state, the reason Mami gives for those boys not being ready gives way to mirth even with HP! Such is the state of their mind. They are feeling great delight in organizing and conducting this marriage.

When the boys come down, Mami's dramatics gives vocal to the thoughts of all.

They are exhilarated to see the two, Ganesh and Arnav, in their ceremonial wear looking majestic. Their compliments make the two bashful. When Buaji sidled over to whisper, that Ganesh needed to use his razor to spruce himself, it causes both Ganesh and Arnav to chuckle. For Ganesh it was a joyful feeling to have somebody who cares enough to tell him about his appearance. So far it had been only Anamika who had done it. For Arnav, it is to have some company when he had always been at the receiving end of their teasing. Both are delighted for their own reasons.

"Sometimes its not the strength but gentleness that cracks the hardest shells"

~ Richard Paul Evans, Lost December

The sight of Anamika in her finery has everyone in awe. Seeing her always in work clothes, that was trouser-shirt makes Buaji comment, why does not she dress in the feminine way with her good looks. They are all happy that she, who dresses others has consented to dress so for her wedding and other ceremonies. Ganesh, in the twenty years of his association with her, had never seen her dressed up like this, looking divine. He was ecstatic to see this vision of beauty. The eye of the master photographer was beholden to the beauty, and was unable to either take his eyes away from her or utter a single word.

"I think happiness is what makes you pretty. Period. Happy people are beautiful. They become like a mirror and they reflect that happiness"

~ Drew Barrymore

When Arnav starts looking up the stairway, to catch the first glimpse of Khushi when she comes down, Anjali sensing his jitteriness tells him to be patient. His retort, that he has waited for 28 years, has her doubled up with laughter. She was overjoyed to see her brother's impatience to have Khushi by his side, whereas Arnav was impatient to have his soul-mate whom he had waited all his life. This showed how lonely he had felt, but now with Khushi in his life it was a brighter world for him.

When Khushi entered the hall, his eyes conveyed the blissful rhapsodic melody that was coursing down his veins making her blush fetchingly.

"It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about"

~ Dale Carnegie

While they waited in the bower for the ceremony to begin, his whispered, Two down. Four more to go, conveyed his delight, at having crossed one-third of the formalities.

While the rings were exchanged, the ladies of the clan shed tears of happiness signifying their great delight at this event. The Raizadas were happy that Arnav had found peace and happiness and a partner to spend his life with, a partner who will be a match for him in every aspect. The Guptas are happy to get another son-in-law who loved Khushi for herself and was ready to put up with her sanki ways. For Anamika, they are happy that she has agreed to marry Ganesh, who had been waiting for her for 20 years. They are happy for Gaurav, to have got a Papa of his choice, whom he was able to accept whole-heartedly.

"Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom"

~ Marcel Proust

Khushi expressed her joy with a mischievous query, Now you are all mine, Arnavji! Where will you run when I tease you? Though it looks simple and straight forward, it is a loaded question. When she met him in the beginning, she, who had been attracted to him was not liking his ways. It was against her grain to approve such behavior as his. She knew deep down, there lay a man who was simple and lovable. But the layers of armor, had made him a tough nut to crack, who wielded whip, with his tongue and deeds, at the drop of the hat. His whiplash, lacerated the mind and heart, like nothing else. His attraction towards her, though was initially resisted by him, could not withstand the thought of being separated. It humbled him enough to try to talk to her, understand her and see how others see him. It was an eye-opener for him. It helped him mend his ways and win Khushi over. Once he had changed into a person that she had glimpsed him to be earlier, she agrees to marry him and her possessiveness of such a fine person who now is the volte-face, of many things he stood for earlier, is brought out in that query. It gives a glimpse of the rapturous feeling that dwells in Khushi. She too, like Arnav, is at peace and is delighted to marry him. In answer to her query, his, Who said I will want to run, Khushi soon-to-be Arnav Singh Raizada? clearly tells us, gone was the man, who was a coward to face his feelings and hid with Lavanya as his shield. Gone was the man, who would use his tongue to hurt others, so as not to get out of his comfort zone. Gone was the man, who wanted everyone to fall in line with his ways. In the place of ASR, was the the resurrection of Arnav Singh Raizada, who was ready and most willing, to express his ecstatic feeling saying that he was finished with running away and that was a promise meant to be kept all through their life, forever.

"Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like"

~ Lao Tzu

In this story, both Arnav and Anamika were like Gypsies. They could be compared to the Gypsies, as they both had led nomadic life, in terms of emotions, without any anchor that could bring in stability. The love of Khushi and Ganesh transformed their life respectively. It was as magical as Bohemian Rhapsody.

That's why this update is RHAPSODIC.

That's it from me Hope you enjoy it.
