Chapter 1
He was caressing that picture in which she was standing beside him having her hand around his neck and she was kissing him on his cheek. He remembered how his eyes widened when she kissed him suddenly on stage where they were performing for fancy dress competition. People admired these two cute kids who were 5 years old. She chuckled after seeing his expressions and he lost his senses listening to melodious voice of hers. He face palmed and smiled cutely watching his baatcutter's happy and smiley face. He was lost in the memory lane of his life's best moments. He remembered her possessive behavior for him. She used to say that you are only mine mr.linecutter. She always did the things which her heart told her to do and never cared about what others might think about her. He suddenly burst out laughing when he remembered those words which became more cute and funny when they came out of her mouth. "doctor, doctor meri heartbeat check karo na!" they used to play this doctor-doctor game. When rey played doctor role and she played patient's role, she always placed his hand on her heart and said those words very cutely. It was their dream to become a doctor. They were very happy having each other in their life but destiny always takes test of true love and so was with them. At that time, they were not mature enough to understand what love is. They were best friends but with the passage of time, they understood their feelings for each other. But now they were far away from each other. The reason of their separation was their fathers. Their fathers were best of friends and business partners. But because of some misunderstanding, they fought with each other and broke all the contacts with each other. Kria's family shifted to Delhi, when they were 13. Their mothers tried to make their fathers friends again but nothing did work. On their last meet, his wildcat again kissed him on cheek and after that meeting; these love-birds missed each other badly.
A lone tear trickled down on his cheek. He wiped it off and suddenly someone snatched their photo from his hand.
Person: rey yeh toh tu hai but tere sath ye ladki kaun hai? Childhood girlfriend? Haan?
Rey: swayam chod, de mujhe photo
He tried to take that photo from swayam's hand but every time swayam moved his hand away not letting him to do so. Then they started their chasing game.
Swayam: nahi dunga pehle bata yeh kaun hai? Aur tu mere sath har baat share karta hai toh isko kyun chupake rakha haan? Bol na kaun hai ye?

Swayam: shaadi karne ka irada h kya isse?
"mein yahi toh keh rahi hu ise ki shaadi karle par yeh hai ki manta hi nahi" a lady entered the room with snacks and cold drink.
They stopped their chasing game and rey took that photo from swayam's hand.
Swayam: aunty toh iski shaadi karva dijiye iss photo wali ladki se
Rey: mom please ye sab baatein band kijiye aur mujhe clinic jana hai der ho rahi hai
He walked out of the room and went to his clinic.
Swayam: aunty rey us ladki se pyar karta hai na toh aap uski shaadi us ladki se kyun nahi karvate?
Rey's mom: mera bas chalta toh mein mere bte ki khushi ke liye ye bhi kar deti but I can't do this
Swayam:but why?
Rey's mom told him everything that happened years ago and separated these soul mates.
Swayam: rey isliye akela rehta hai and kisise emotionally attach nahi hota. Btw us ladki ka naam kya hai aunty?
Rey's mom: KRIA...KRIA GHAI
Swayam was shocked.
Swayam: kria ghai?*he smiled widely* aunty mein usko janta hu vo meri girlfriend ki best friend hai
Rey's mom: kya guarantee h ki vo humari kriya h?
Swayam: aunty abhi aapne bataya na vo rey ko linecutter bulati thi toh Sharon ne mujhe ek baar bataya tha vo apne childhood friend ko miss karti jise vo linecutter bulati h and vo bhi doctor h.
Rey's mom: agar esa hai toh mujhe use milna hai
Swayam: ofcourse!
Meanwhile Rey's mom got a call from unknown number.
Rey's mom: hello!
Caller: maa , mera linecutter kaisa hai?
Rey's mom: kriya tum?* smiling widely* tumhe mera number kaise mila? Aur baki sab kaise hai? Oh sorry pehle tumhara linecutter baki sab baad me! Kriya linecutter apni baatcutter ke bagair kaisa hoga? Jab se tum gayi ho vo kabhi khulke smile nahi karta, vo pretend karta hai vo khush hai par uski asli khushi tum ho. Meine use samjhaya ki life me aage badh jao par vo akela rehna chahta hai. Kriya please kuch karo usko pehle wala rey banana ke liye.
Kriya's eyes were filled with tears after knowing that he missed her as much as she did. But she didn't let her tears come out as now she decided to get him back by hook or crook.
Kriya: maa rey ab humesha khush rahenge I promise but aapko mera sath dena hoga.
Kriya told her plan to Rey's mom and she was shocked after knowing her plan.
Rey's mom: kriya tum bilkul nahi badli vaisi ki vaisi ho pagal!
Kriya: haan maa apne linecutter ke liye mein aaj bhi pagal hu aur bataiye aap mera sath doge na?
Rey's mom: ofcourse! But ek baat hai rey pagal ho jayega.
Both burst out laughing.
Rey's mom: par tum dono ke papa ko kaun manayega?
Kriya: don't worry maa jab tak ye plan khatam hoga tab tak vo log phirse friends ban chuke honge

Next day rey was busy at clinic. Suddenly a girl*patient* came with her friend*friend* who was supporting her to walk.
Friend: doctor please meri friend ka treatment kijiye ye bahar faint ho gayi thi and abhi thik se nahi chal bhi nahi paa rahi
Rey: ohk come here.
He made the patient lay down on the bed.
Rey to friend: vaise inka naam kya hai?
Friend: Mrs. Shakti Kunwar Amarjeet Singh
Then friend got a call and she told rey to take care of her friend as she has to leave for an urgent meeting. She left leaving her friend with rey.
Rey: so shakti tum faint kaise ho gayi? Aur kuch khaya nahi kya tumne?
Shakti: pyar me log khana-peena sab kuch bhul jate hai
Rey: I didn't get you. Koi problem hai kya tumhare husband ke sath?
Shakti: problem nahi bas vo mujhse dur hai aur meri yaad me vo bhi meri tarah sad hai
Rey: oh tumhara husband lucky hai jo use tumhare jaisi wife mili
Shakti:*spoke under her breath*haan aap ho hi itne lucky jo aapko mujh jaisi wife milegi( A/N: now u guys know who shakti is. If not then let me tell you she is none other than our kriya)
Rey: kuch kaha tumne?
Kriya: ah...doctor, doctor meri heartbeat check karo na and she placed his hand on her heart.
He became numb at that moment and "baatcutter" came out of his mouth.
Kriya: baatcutter? Mein toh shakti hoon
He came back to his senses and he immediately removed his hand from her heart.
Rey: hai koi jo mere liye bohot special hai
Kriya: oh but vo mujhse jyada se*y nahi lagti hogi
Rey: kriya world ki sabse beautiful girl hai
Kriya: oh toh uska naam kriya hai but kabhi usne aapko kiss kiya hai lips pe?
Rey: kiya ho ya nahi isse tumhe kya? Ye meri personal baatein hai so please
Kriya: are aapne meri puri history aur mere husband ke sath meri chemistry jaan li ab apni baari aayi toh nahi batana not fair!
Rey: fine! Nahi kiya usne mujhe kiss!
Kriya: toh aaj aap mujhe kiss karke dekho. I promise aap mere deewne ho jayenge
Rey: what? are u mad? Tum shaadi-shuda ho aur...
Before he could say anything, she pulled him and made him lay down on the bed under herself. She started kissing him wildly. Rey was trying to get rid of her grip and once he was successful but she was too quick to push him and kissed him again. He again tried to break the kiss but he stopped as his heart felt that she was his baatcutter and now he too responded to the kiss. He came upon her and took the charge. He captured her lower lip between his lips and started licking it, sucking it and nibbling it. They were turning wild. She bit his upper lip and in return, he also bit her lower lip. She opened her mouth and their tongues were dancing with each other. After sometime they broke the kiss as they were short of oxygen. As he realized what happened just few moments before he moved away and stood there with his head down feeling guilty. She looked at him and sensed that he was feeling guilty.
Kriya: rey mein...
Rey:*shouted* please go away
Kriya: meri baat...
Rey: muje tumhari koi baat nahi sunni aur tumne mujhe kiss kyun kiya?
Kriya: meine apne would-be-husband ko kiss kiya
Rey: tum pagal ho gayi
Kriya: haan mein pagal ho gayi hu aapke pyar me aur humari shaadi hokar rahegi.
Rey: mein tumse shaadi nahi karnewala and by the way tum toh married hona toh tum mujhse kaise shaadi karogi?
Kriya: kisne kaha mein married hu? Mein toh abhi bhi single hun aur*caught his collar* humari shaadi toh hokar rahegi, got it?
Then she took her belongings and started walking out leaving shocked rey. She turned and winked at him. His mouth fell open in O' shape.
Rey:*selftalk* kaisi ladki hai ye? Patient banke aayi aur girlfriend banne ki koshish kar rahi hai, no no sidha wife banna hai use but meine bhi usko kiss kiya tha. Why universeji? Why? Mujhe kyun esa laga ki vo meri baatcutter h? arrgghhh...so many questions but no answers. Leave it rey! Abhi ghar jaa aur aaram kar. Agar us shakti ke bare me aur sochega toh tujhe use pyar ho jayega. Pyar? Nahi esa kuch nahi hai. Oh god iss ladki ne mujhe pagal bana diya hai!

Rey exited from clinic and sat in his car to go home. All the way he was thinking about her. On the other hand, kriya was ready to execute her plan. (A/N: here starts her plan, kriya can't tell her sasuma about that clinic scene😉.)
Kriya called her sasuma.
Rey's mom: hello beta sab ready hai bas rey aa jaye
Kriya: haan ab rey ko ek aur shock milega
Rey's mom: ek aur?
Kriya bit her tongue.
Kriya: ah..maa mein aapko batana bhul gayi mein unse mili thi aur humari choti si fight ho gayi jaise bachpan me hoti thi. Ohk maa mein rakhti hun rey aate hi honge.
Rey's mom: ohk beta baad me baat karte hai
Rey entered in the house and found her mom with some people sitting and talking with them. As soon as, his mom saw him, she went towards him.
Rey's mom to that people: yeh hai mera beta reyaansh, *to rey* rey beta jaldi se freshen up hoke aa jao niche
Rey: par maa yeh log hai kaun pehle toh inhe kabhi nahi dekha.
Rey's mom: beta sab batati hu pehle jao freshen up hoke aao.
Rey came down in living room and his mom made him sit with the girl who came here with her parents.
Father:hume toh reyaansh pasand hai bas ye dono aapas me baat karke haan kehde.
Rey: mom ye ho kya raha hai?
Rey's mom: beta ye ladkiwale hai tumhari shaadi fix karni haina isliye aaye hai.
He got up hearing the word "shaadi" and was very shocked.
Rey: what? Shaadi? No ways mom aur aapne mujhse bina puche ye kyun kiya?
Father: kya hua? Reyaansh tumhe nahi pata tha in sabke bare me?
Rey: sorry uncle but mein shaadi nahi karna chahta toh baat karke kuch fayda nahi hai
Rey's mom: par beta ek baar...
Rey: mom meine keh diya na ki mujhe shaadi nahi karni toh bas kijiye ab
Parents: thik hai toh hum chalte hai and they left.
Rey: mom ye kya tha?
Rey's mom: ladkiwale jo tumhe dekhne aaye the
Rey:mom..
Rey's mom: beta mere bhi toh kuch armaan hai. Mein bhi chahti hu ki mere bete ko ek pyari si wife mile aur ghar me akele-akele mein bore ho jati hu toh mujhe company bhi mil jayegi.
Rey: mom mujhe shaadi nahi karni and started walking towards his room.
Rey's mom: rey ruko. Shaadi toh tumhe karni padegi aur tumhari jankari ke liye mein bata du ki iss pure week me meine jo ladkiyan pasand ki hai unko bulaya hai. Ladkiwale tumse roz milenge aur I'm sure akhir me tum haar manke shaadi karoge hi
Rey: mom ye aap
He was hell irritated and his mom was laughing at his state without being known.
Rey: mom aapko itna bhayanak idea kisne diya?
Rey's mom: meri...*she was about to say " meri pyari bahu kriya ne" but she controlled herself*
Rey was waiting for his mother's reply
Rey's mom: ah...tumhe kya lagta hai sirf tum intelligent ho? Tum agar intelligent youngster ho toh mein us intelligent youngster ki maa hu.
His mother went in kitchen hurriedly. He was hell irritated.
Rey:* mindtalk* aaj sabko kya ho gaya? Sab shaadi-shaadi ka jhap kar rahe h. are yaar nahi karni mujhe shaadi! Do hell with shaadi! Pehle vo shakti aur ab maa! Universeji ye kya kar rahe ho? Kash baatcutter hoti yaha toh vo sab handle kar leti. But abhi kya karu? Kya karu? Kya karu? Idea! Swayam, swayam ko call karta hu, vahi meri help karega, mera best friend jo hai!
Rey called swayam but he was not picking up his call and rey was continuously chanting "pick up the call yaar! Please jaldi" at last, swayam received his call after 2-3 missed calls.
Swayam: haan rey bol
Rey: agar tu thodi aur der lagata phone uthane me toh mein tujhe utha leta iss duniya se! saale gadhe, jab zarurat hoti hai toh ese gayab kyun ho jata hai
Swayam: sorry rey, mein shower lene gaya aur phone bahar tha. Vo sab chod tu bata kya problem hai?
Rey told him everything and asked him to save him from this shaadi drama.
Swayam: rey mere pas ek idea hai tu bhag ja
Rey: bhag jau? Tum sab pagal ho! Pehle vo shakti, phir maa aur ab tu
Swayam:shakti?
Rey: are vo aaj clinic me ek patient ayi thi aur bol rahi thi meri aur uski shaadi hoke rahegi. Yaar kaha phas gaya mein!
Swayam kept his hand on phone so that rey couldn't hear anything and started laughing like a maniac. He knew that Shakti was kriya. On the other line, rey kept on saying, "hello" swayam stopped laughing and made an excuse to rey that kaka was asking him what he wanted to have in dinner.
Rey: ohk toh ab bata kya karu?
Swayam: bhag ja apne farm house pe
Rey: I think you are right agar yaha rahunga toh mom mera picha nahi chodegi, clinic me bhi ladkiwalo ko milne ke liye le ayegi. Ohk mein yahi karta hu and thank you so much bro!
Swayam: kya yaar! Thanks bolne ki zarurat nahi hai. You are my bro and teri help mein humesha karunga
Rey: acha chal mein thodi packing kar leta hu aur aaj raat ko nikal jata hu. Bye bro!
Swayam: ohk bye! Take care.
Rey disconnected the call and started packing his stuff. At 12 a.m., when everyone was sleeping, rey came out of his house and drove off to his farm house. Then his mom called kriya and informed her that he has left.
Rey's mom: beta tum use bata kyun nahi deti ki tum hi uski baatcutter ho?
Kriya: nahi maa vo khud mujhe pehchan lenge
Rey's mom: thik hai toh apne linecutter ko shaadi ke liye propose bhi kar dena. Jaldi tum meri bahu ban jao aur us buddhu ko sambhalo.
Kriya: haan maa dulhaniya dilwale ko le jayegi! Acha mein ab phone rakhti hu jana bhi toh hai farm house pe. Bye maa! Take care
Rey's mom: bye and all the best.
She disconnected the call.
