Chapter 68

I was driving aimlessly on the streets as tears were welling up in my eyes at my inability. Inability to safe her, inability to find her, inability to trust her. in these empty streets I was trying to find her and an escape to run away from the situation. What Payal did today, made me quilter thousand folds more. I was just living the guilt of not trusting my wife and saying such words which I don't want to recall but after the abortion it makes me feel as if I have killed someone. A little life which was yet to be born...and it died all because of me.

I checked my phone for the nth time hoping i could get a call from her kidnapper. They have asked me 3 million which was nothing infront of my love. I can give all my wealth to get her back in perfect state. I don't after how many hours of driving I reached home hoping I could hear her chirpy voice again all over my place but inspite I was greeted with a dead silence.so much have happened in just past 2 days.

"Ohh see who is back. I heard Di's voice. I looked up and saw they all were seating at the dining table.

"Anjali...no...don't... Nani interjected.

"Why Nani? Why?

"Di please...you don't... I began but she showed me her palm.

"If you would have ever cared about my or anyone else's feeling in this house...this wouldn't have happened.

" Di...I-I...

"You were doing this for me...I know...and I am sorry I made you suffer by living a hell for 6 months. She mocked me with tears rolling down her eyes.

"You know what...I should ask this apology to the person who is suffering the most...because of me. she said and I looked up at her.

"Di please... I cried.

"NO why...you sit here...I'll put an end on everything. she said and walked towards the stairs and I followed her.

"Di...where are you going. I followed her behind as she kept walking angrily.

She walked to my room and opened my cupboard and starting throwing some things out. I don't know what she was looking for but then she took out some papers and shove it in my hands.

"Sign them. she said and went to Khushi's table to grab a pen.

"W-what is this? I asked her.

"You don't know? she mocked me.

"Divorce paper which you gave her. she said I was suddenly taken aback by how she knew.

"Anjalji no.. I heard nani who came over to DI.

"Now before you blame and curse her for telling me everything then she never told me anything...I came to now on my own. " she said and I absent mindedly looked at the papers.

"When you left she had an asthma attack...when we were looking for the inhaler I found these papers in her drawer. She told me and tears flowed down from my eyes.

Khushi- "ji...what is this...I...I...cant take it...

Arnav-take it...they are DIVORCE papers..

Khushi (in a bit confused and shocked tone)-"DIVORCE PAPERS???

Aranv-"yes...you get it right...look I don't want you to have any false hopes from me...but this marriage is just a compromise for me which I did for my di and nani...keep the papers safely

Khushi-(with tears in her eyes)-"A..R..NAV...JI...you are joking na...please stop such pranks..

"She made your work easy...she had already signed the paper. She said and it felt like the whole world spinned around me as I frantically turned the apages and saw her name scribbled on the dotter line.

"T-This...this cant be true... I said.

"It is true...she doesn't want to live with you anymore...and it's not like you are her husband...

"It's not true. I said taking a step back.

"You cant deny it...you wanted her sign these...so she did. And now I request you to leave her alone.

"BUT I LOVE HER

"THEY KIDNAPPED HER BECAUSE OF YOU...!!! she screamed louder.

"Because she carries Raizada at the end of her name. she said and I stood in my track as she sat on her on knees and Nani helped her.

"What are you talking about? I asked her but she was crying and she couldn't speak anymore.

"Nani...Nani...what is she saying...what does she mean by that? I asked her.

"Commisioner came...her told us that they have found out that the kidnappers wanted to kidnap Anjali but then they found about Khushi and seeking the opportunity they kidnapped her. she told me as she consoled Di and I was too numb to react. It is indeed happening because of me.

"It's all because of me... DI cried.

"Ahh...Nani...Nani something is happening? I heard Di and I bent down infront of her.

"DI are you okay? I kept my hand on her shoulder but she brushed it away.

"Naniii... she cried.

"It's okay Anjalji ...everything is fine... she said.

"Di are you...

"Chotte take her to the hospital...now... she said and I helped Di and picked her up in my arms to the hospital.

Khushi's POV

Darkness kept dancing in front of my eyes no matter how many times I blinked. I felt a feminine hand on my shoulders and I immediately tried to distance myself from it but I couldn't.

"They sent me to keep an eye on you. she said and I relaxed slightly.

"I won't harm you. she said but I highly doubted that.

I tried to say something but that the cloth in my mouth was not letting me speak anything but thankfully that lady removed it and I tried to removes to grab as much of air as possible.

"Don't make any noise. She said and I nodded.

"W-Why d-did they bought me here? I asked trying to breathe normally.

"I cant tell you that. She said.

"Will...Will...I'll ever be able to g-go back. I choked on my words and there was a long pause.

"they are dangerous...that's all I can say. She said in an apologetic way.

"Just listen to what they are saying...they asked 3 millions from you husband and hopefully they'll let you go... she told me and I sucked in harsh breathe.

He cant be here...!!!

This place is not safe...what if they do something to him...?

He might not love me...but he is my first and the last love...I cant let anything to happen...

A faint sound of footsteps echoed and she haphazardly tied the cloth back.

"someone is coming... she muttered and a loud thud of door opening made me flinch.

"So she woke up? a manly voice echoed the whole darkness.

"Yes... the lady replied.

"Remove the cloth...he ordered and soon the piece of cloth of clothe was removed from my mouth once again.

"Eat this... I heard his order and I looked away but then he gripped my cheeks and forcefully made me open my mouth but poking his fingers and thumbs hard in cheeks making the tears from eyes fall. He shoved food in my mouth and I tried to look away but his grip was way too tight on my cheeks that it could bore holes.

I instantly spit away the food as it was not just choking me but the way he forced the food in me made me rebel against him. but then in the next instance a hard slap burned my cheek making me flinch with pain. I cried...

"Sir...please..i'll make her eat... I heard that lady's voice.

"Tell her not to disobey me..i am trying to be generous... I don't know what happened and the loud thud made me grimaced.

"I told you to do what they are saying...they are dangerous...why are you not understanding this... she said in a scolding voice and I cried harder. All my hopes of going hope are gone...i know I wont be able to survive any longer. They will kill me but I have to protect my love...I wont let these people harm him.

"C-can y-you give me your phone? I asked my angel who came her in between so many demons.

"Phone? Are you made? they'll kill both if us. she said.

"So can say I stole it from you. I suggested.

"I can't...you...don't do this... she said.

"Listen please...I know they will kill me...you cant say it but I know they'll take the money and won't let me go. I said and her long pause confirmed I was thinking right.

"Please...i_i have to protect my husband...they'll kill him too...please... I begged. I can't risk his life.

"Okay...but tomorrow... she said and I nodded.

"But now I have to give you the injection. She said and soon a pinch in my arm made me dizzier and once again I lost my consciousness.

Arnav's POV

I was pacing in the hospital as the doctor has admitted Di in. it's been more than an hour but no one has even came out from the emergency room to inform us anything.

"Chotte relax... Nani said.

"Nani...nani...is Di going to be alright? I asked and she nodded but the truth in her eyes was that neither she knows it.

After 15minutes the doctor came out and she looked a little worried.

"Wh-what's the matter? Before I could ask Shyam asked.

"She is under lot of stress... she said.

"Is my wife and baby alright? he asked.

"Right now she is okay...but we are closely monitoring her...I think we need to do C section. She informed.

"C-section? But everything was fine? he asked.

"She is under lot of stress and it is not safe for her or the baby...we need to take the baby out before it harms him. she said and we nodded and then the doctor left.

"I am sorry...all this is happening because of me... I said.

"Chotte don't be stupid.

"Akash lost his child because of me...and now Di... tears welled in my eyes.

"Chotte... Nani said.

"B-But I'll bring my khushi back...I wont let her suffer because of me...I'll bring her back... and saying that I rushed out of the hospital to get her back in my life as soon as possible.
