UNSPOKEN LOVE

Chapter 40

Just like any other normal day this day too started normally but the only exception was that she was on her bed rather than an uncomfortable couch. Although this should be the best moment but one thing which as missing was her Arnavji with whom she had got so accustomed in the past 3 months that the morning felt void without him. But the day had to go on but she wouldn't start without him. she picked up her phone kept beside her on the nightstand and wrote a quick message.

Good morning...Have you reached?'

She waited for his reply but when it didn't came for long she keopt her phoe aside and walked towards the washroom to continue her day. When she came out she checked her phone once again but again the disappointment laced through her body when she didn't found any reply from him. she headed towards the kitchen to make the morning tea for everyone, unlike the lack coffee for her Arnavji. She shook her head so that any thought for Arnav would disappear but it wasn't possible for her. once the tea was prepared she headed towards her parents room and knocked it.

"Good Morning." she said opening the door with her sides and entering in.

"good morning beta...so you made tea for us." Shashi asked.

"yes...I though tI should showcase my talents here as well." She said sheepishly and soon Gariima and Payal joined.

"Ma is this the same Khuhsi who used to sleep until someone gives her the tea on the bed." Payal asked Garima and Khushi's cheeks grew red.

"Yes...seems like her Raizada family had changed hr." Garima commented.

"There is nothing like that. " she said while sipping the tea.

"Khuhis could you please get me the newspaper?" Shahsi asked and she nodded to bring the one for her father. As she entered the room back again, she took her father's spectacle case from the table but one thing caught her attention.

"WHOse medicines are these?" she askd hsowing the family the entire box filled with various medicines and silence consumed the family.

"i_it's nothing...it had some painkillers and antibiotics." Payal answered breaking the silence.

"But for whom Didi?" Khushi questioned again.

"They are regular painkillers Khuhis...few days back I sprained my ankle, so to ease the pain I have to try various painkillers." Shashi answered smoothly but that was not enough to convince Khuhsi. She knew that it was a lie but she didn't understand what was the need for lying. Not wanting to spoil the morning she let it slide but temporarily and she will talk about it definitely in the evening.

"Ma Baba...I am going okay..." Khuhsi said while wearing her sandals.

"Which hotel are you going?" Shashi asked.

"She invited us to the TULIP'S." she said.

"Okay...but be home at time. Shahsi told her.

"DIdi you have last chance...are you coming with me?" she asked Payal.

"What would I do with your friends Khushi?" PAyal.

"It's a simple birthday lunch nothing else." KHuhsi said.

"NO you go and enjoy and as baba said be home on time...it gets dark early." She told her sisiter.

"Did you carry something warm with you." Garima asked.

"Yes...now let me go I am already running late." Khuhsi rushed out of the house waving everyone goodbye.

All the friends were sitting in the restaurant area of the five star hotel but Khuhsi was feeling a little bit uncomfortable. A strange feeling of discomfort was bothering her. She tried to get involved with her friends in their conversations but he soon found out that it's jut not her day today.

"Hey khuhsi..." a voice interrupted the conversation of the girls and Khuhsi turned to look at the source of the voice.

"S-Sahil." She stammered as he approached her table but she waked towards him to avoid her friend meeting him.

"What a surprise...what are you doing here?" Sahil asked with a huge smile.

"We came for the lunch...it's my friend's birthday today." She told him.

"Wow that's great." he said.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him.

"Just came out for the lunch with friends." He said.

"Okay..."

"I think you should now go and join your friends I'll catch you later" he winked at her left and she felt heat raising her cheeks.

Khuhsi joined her friends back and Aditi excused herself for the washroom. Khuhsi busied herself with the friend when her phone buzzed and she checked to see Arnav's name on it.

"I was busy...yes I reached on time."

His message read she quickly typed his reply.

I am out with friends for lunch.' And in the reply she got.

Okay.' She was typing another message when aditi slipped next to her chair.

"Seems like your husband is missing you so much that he came here to pick you up." Khuhis frowned and smiled.

"He is not here..he went out for some work." She told her with smile.

"Oh...I might have seen someone else." Aditi apologized.

The girls were busy again and once they were done they left but as Khuhsi was exiting she remember that she forgot her bag inside. she rushed inside but her sight landed on the elevator which had familiar figures in it. it was Sahil who was coming out and ofcourse his sister Lavanya...but the third one...why did he looked so familiar like her Arnavji. The question confused her but then the metallic doors of the elevator were closed. Sahil was walking towards her but she swirled so that he couldn't see her. she was not in the mood to have another conversation on the same day with him.

A feeling of unsettlement grew in her. she thought f calling him but then she decided against it. what if he's busy? she thought but she needed to get the doubt out from her mind.

After a big fight against her inner turmoil she decided to ask the receptionist.

Ummm...excuse me...?"

"Yes MA'am."

"Is there anyone with the name Mr Arnav Sigh Raizada?" She asked.

"Please give me second ma'am." The receptionist asked.

"Sorry ma'am there is no one with this name." a sighed and was about to leave when something clicked her mind.

"IS there anyone with the surname Kashyap...I mean either Sahil Kashyap or Lavanya Kashyap?" she asked again.

"One second Ma'am." The said and Khushi waited impatiently.

"Room no 1714 and 1715." She told her.

"Thank you." she muttered

She rode the elevator and was now standing in front of the room 1715. It was gamble...if Lavanya comes out she can make any excuse but if Sahil opens the door it would look inappropriate. She knocked the door once...and waited patiently. Soon the door opened and thankfully LAvanya opened it but her face paled as she saw Khuhsi.

"W-What are you doing here?" she stuttered.

"Um...Sahil told me you were here...so I jus..."

"Whose on the door?" a very familiar voice reached her ears and she looked behind LAvanya who and all her world came shattering down at just one sight.

"Arnavji..."

Automatically the words escape her lips as she saw him standing behind her in robe. His hair were all wet and water and it looked he just came out of the shower.

"K-Khuhsi..." his eyes snapped wide as he saw her and for the moment everything stood still. No words were exchanged and silence filled the atmosphere.

It was that moment when a sob realized from here throat broke the silence and the reality sunk in her. she took a step back covering her mouth with her palm.

"Khushi." He said her name again but she just wanted to go away. she rushed towards the elevator and covering her mouth hen he heard him calling his name.

"Khsuhi wait..." he screamed but he as too late...she took the elevator and the metal door separated them.

"Khushi..." he banged the door and pressed every button for the door to open but it was late. He rushed towards the room and quickly changed into the first things his eyes landed on.

"Arnav...wait...what are you doing?" LAvanya asked but he wasn't listening...all his mind was on Khushi. The way she left just was churning his heart. Never ever he thought that he'll be so guilty for something in life.

"It's good that she saw everything ..." Lavanya tried to stop him.

"Just shut up... it's all just because of you." he said and rushed out of the room. both the elevators were busy but he couldn't wait for it. He took the steps and with the fastest speed humanly possible she reached on the ground floor but again he was late. She had already left. He saw on the exit door when he saw her very far away running on the streets and that was the moment he realized that she had left him and gone very far away from his life...so far that he won't think he'll ever be able to get her back again.

SO FINALLY...
