Chapter 15

"The Journey Begins"

Khushi was not able to sleep the entire night...she was just twisting and turning on the recliner. Arnav knew that she is awake but he cant miss the opportunity of scaring her so easily...after all he had got something after a long time which may scare her. He soon felt asleep but Khushi was only twisting thinking what if tried doing something to her.

Khushi-(to herself)-"NOOO...stop thinking all this Khushi...he is not like that...he can be rude...that is his nature but...forcing me...( and she couldn't think further) what if he really does something to fulfil his Di's and Nani's wish...

Khushi-(continuing her thoughts)-"I wont be weak in front of him...from now on I will maintain a safe distance from him...but what if he...(she was not in the state to think further...and tried to sleep...but who could sleep in such a situation when her husband had confessed that he can do anything for his family and she had to spent 5 long days alone with him...)

The night passed away quickly for Khushi as her mind was occupied only with stupid thoughts. They had to leave early so she got up, freshen up herself and made coffee for him and came back to the room. Maintaining a safe distance she called out for him.

Khushi-"Arnavji..."

Arnav-(her voice was loud enough to make the person in next room wake too)-"huh...what..."

Khushi-"your coffee...and get up we are getting late..."

Arnav-( seeing her standing almost near the door he remembered the last night from where she is hell scared of him...even so scared that she is not even coming close to him...it was good to him as he wants to avoid her but he cant miss this situation to enjoy further)-"ok give..."

Khushi-"GIVE" ( he wants to drink her coffee...but...he had never even tasted it before...and she was even sure that he is not going to even touch it today but why he asked it today...increasing her nervousness)

Arnav-"haan Give...I think you bought it for me only..."

Khushi-"huh...it was for you only.."

Arnav-"then give it...and fast otherwise we will be late"

Khushi took baby steps towards him and with shivering hands and closed eyes advanced her hands to give him to coffee. Arnav too taking full advantage of the situation got up from the bed to take the mug . But her hands were shivering so much that anytime the coffee could spill on the ground. He unwantedly but in response to falling mug hold her hand making Khushi gasp in sudden. Though he don't wanted to touch her but this accidental hold on her hand made Khushi literally die in horror. To change the topic he instantly took the coffee and starting having it. Whereas Khushi rushed to the other side to check her stuffs. She had packed everything...even a peppermint spray after last night conversation.

It was the time for them to leave. They were going by road to Manali. Though it only 5 days trip but all these days were like hell to them. Khushi was crying badly...she is already attached to the family so much that it was difficult for them to leave...but this was not the only reason to make her cry... going along with Arnav who had warned her already was the another reason for her to cry harder. Arnav who was initially a bit irritated with this was now dying with laughter which he was trying hard to control as he knew the real reason for crying.

Anjali-"khushiji...you are not going on war...its your honeymoon..."

Khushi-"Di...(sobs) you wont ...(sobs) understand...how much I am going to( sobs) miss you all.

Nani-"don't worry beta...we will call you "

Anjali-"and I don't think Chotte is going to give you enough time to remember us"

Khushi was not at all willing to go..she was only praying any cyclone or earthquake would happen and they had to cancel the trip but unfortunately luck was not in her favour today.

Arnav-(sitting on the driver seat)-"common now...we are getting late..."

Khushi with heavy step walked towards the car. The servants had already kept their luggage and finally they were ready to move. She waved her hand to bid finally bye to the family and they started moving towards their destination.

Anjali-"nani I think I should switch off my phone now"

Nani-"but why beta"

Anjali-"wo actually as Khushiji is going to reache their she will be very angry with me..."

Nani-"what you did"

Anjali-" wo actually I switched her bag with another one"

Nani-(pulling her ear)-"you and your plans...now she will be troubled..."

Anjali-"don't worry and she smirked."

Arnav was driving the car and Khushi was staring at him thinking only one thing..."will he do anything to her..." but suddenly they both heard a terrible noise. Arnav put the brake of his car in sudden trying to guess what could be the reason.

"did you hear something ???"

"meee...no..."

He was about to get out of the car when she called him-"arnavji..."

Arnav-"what..(in a polite way)

Khushi-"wo actually I am hungry so my stomach growled and she look down in embarresement. It was hardly half an hour they left home after having breakfast and she is hungry again.

Arnav-( with widened eyes)-"ohhh...so have something...didn't you have your breakfast properly"

Khushi-"wo...whenever I am excited or nervous or happy I feel extra hungry..."

Arnav-(with a smirk)-"so what are you at the moment..."(though he knew that she is nervous)

Khushi remained silent and took a lunch box and starting having her sandwiches. Arnav was observing her from the corner of his eyes and could see that she is thinking too much. But he didnt felt a need to clarify anything. After having 3 sandwiches she kept the box on the dashboard and sitting their on the seat she felt asleep .

She was sleeping peacefully and Arnav too didn't disturbed her he knew she didn't slept the entire night but the box she kept on the dashboard was about to fall. He extended his hand to catch it so that It may don't disturb her she woke up suddenly and seeing his hand close to her she gasped in horror.

Khushi-"wh...what are you doing???"

Arnav-your box...and he gave her that box and continued driving.

But khushi's brain again started..."why is he doing all this...is this his car or he wanted to do something else eerrgghh...this all was so confusing...

Finally after 5 long hours of driving they reached their hotel where they were welcomed. The staff gave Khushi a big bouquet and the special lunch was organised especially for them. Everyone was addressing her Mrs Raizada which was quite new to her. She found this luxurious treatment to overwhelming and was smiling constantly when suddenly Arnav pulled her lightly and whispered slowly in her ear.

"enjoy the status of being Mrs Arnav Singh Raizada fow some days...So never know you may get this chance again or not...so enjoy... " and he left her.

Khushi didn't liked the way he said but didn't complained. Soon the staff took her to their suite which was already booked for them. Arnav was walking beside her which seemed like he was being a caring husband. It was late now and they desperately need to rest for some time. the journey was very tiring. They were walking towards the room when suddenly a waitress from other side bumped into Khushi letting all the hot tea she was carring in her tray fall on Khushi.

"aahhh..." and Arnav turned to look at her.

Waitress-" I am sorry mam..i am really very sorry..."

Arnav-( to Khushi)-" are you okay...giving her a hand...(to waitress with a bit anger) cant you see and walk.

Manager -"I am very sorry sir..."

Khushi-"I am okay...no need to be sorry..i will just change it and Arnavji I am fine..."

Arnav was quite satisfied with her reply...though he got a bit worried but now when she had said she is fine she was a bit relaxed.

Arnav-(ordering the manager who was taking them to their room)-" get our luggage fast"

Manager-"ok sir...and he instructed some of the people to get their luggage. Whereas the couple at already entered their suite.

Khushi rushed to the bathroom to wash her clothes and then their luggage was delivered. Arnav took it and kept it all inside.Arnav was wandering how are they going to share the room all the time but keeping that thought aside he knew the next turn is his to change so picked up his suitcase to take out some clothes to wears but as he opened it he was shocked beyond words to see the clothes in it. Just then the latch of the door of the bathroom opened ans she came out. She was very happy to see her clothes..but one second...what was he doing with her suitacase...

Khushi-"arnavji...(She called out politely)

Arnav turned towards her holding her dress in his hand almost showing it to her-" you bought this..."

Khushi was shocked seeing that. It was a short night dress which was highly revealing.

Arvnav-"you bought this to sed..."

Khushi-(cutting off him in middle) -"these are not mine and she almost snatched that dress from him and advanced to see the suitcase which was full of these clothes.."

Khushi-"haawww...these are not mine"

Arnav-"but the suitcase is yours"

Khushi-"no..its not...(remembering something)-"have you bought this...you wanted to take advantage of the situation...right..( and she started to cry)-"you are to bad...now what am I going to wear.."

Arnav-"shut up and stop crying why will I get all these stuffs for you..."

Khushi-"you said last night and now you even..(sobs)

Arnav-"just shut up...you think I am mad"

Khushi remained silent and suddenly she realise that who had did this.. checking the clothes again she said-"Diii..."

Arnav-"now what"

Khushi-"she had bought all these same clothes for me last night but refused to take them..."

Arnav-"ohh...that means Di did it to surprise you...(in a sarcastic way he said)-"now go and enjoy..."

Khushi-"but I cant wear these...and my clothes are also wet"

Arnav-"hmm...but you don't have any option left...it just for one night..."

Khushi-"NOOO...please.."

Arnav-"ok then keep wearing your wet suit and then don't blame me if you fall sick"

Khushi thought that he was right. She tooh the longest dress among them which was also upto her tighs and went to change. After some time the latch of ghe bathroom opened and she spoke softly..."arnavji..."

Arnav-"hmm..."

Khushi-"please close your eyes..."

Arnav-"why..??"

Khushi( almost pleading)-"please"

Arnav did so and suddenly he felt a hurricane entered his room and as he opened the eyes he saw Khushi lying down on the floor completely covered with quilt.

Arnav-"what are you doing???"

Khuhsi-(not removing the quilt)-"you cant sllep on floor noe we can share the bed so I am sleeping here...

Arnav was happy that she found the solution of his problem and he went to the bes and switch of the lights and went to sleep.

MIDNIGHT

He was sleeping peacefully when he heard her screaming and jumping on the bed.she was crying indeed.

"aahhh..." As he saw her he was lost in her...he long bare legs and shoulders...her revealing dress made him lost in her forgetting that she is screaming. Realizing what she was doing she covered herself again with a quilt. With teary voice she said-"arnavji..."

Arnav didn't like her voice...she was crying and he didn't liked it..-(with fll of concer he got upp)-"what happened???"

"something is there"???

Arnav-"what??"

Khushi-"please go (sobs) and check..."

He got up from the bed and saw a rat."khushi its just a rat...hearing the word "rat" she screamed again...making him confuse...

Arnav-"what happened???"

Khushi-"I cant (sobs) sleep their...what if he(sobs) bite me..."

Arnav-"okay...but where are you going to sleep"

Khushi-"here...can I sleep here...???"

Arnav-"yes...but "

Khushi-"okay then you sleep down..."

Arnav-(with a shock)-"I am not sleeping down..i am also sleeping on the bed."

Khushi gasping in sudden -"but I cant share my bed..."

Arnav-"this is hotel's bed...and even I have equal right on it...and I am the one paying the bills...so just shift..."

Khushi-"but I know you are paying the bills but I will pay you later..."

Arnav-without listening her further climbed the bed again and switched the light again.

Khushi was tooo scared of rats. She cant sleep down neither can sleep with him. She built a huge partition on the bed and clutching her quilt tight she tried to sleep but sleep was far way from her eyes.
