Chapter 4

"SIGNS OF LOVE"

Three days passed after their engagement and now today was khushi's mehendi. Khushi was very excited for this day but Arnav was now a days was behaving very weird. He himself was confused what he wanted. He was hell irritated with people around him. She was literally forcing him but he cant do anything now. He was not confused in his own decision. Her innocent and beautifule eyes were not letting him think properly. Suddenly his phone buzzed and the caller was Lavanya...

"hello Arnav...can we just meet today?"
(with a n irritated voice)"its not possible and I had already told you this that di wont let me come...then why you again and again ask for the same thing??"

"okay...okay...just relax...I just wanted to tell you something"

"what...speak fast"

"My brother is coming soon and then you can talk to him about our marriage"

"Don't you have any sense...I am getting married day after tomorrow and this marriage is atleast for 9 months then again same thing...call me later, I am not interested for anything at the moment" and with he disconnected the phone and threw it on the bed...he himself doesn't know what is happening to him. Though he is always quite rude and short tempered person but all these days he just require a spark to blast.

Gupta House

The house was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and fairy lights all around. All were busy and waiting for Khushi's mehendi to come from Arnav's house when suddenly they heard a doorbell ringing. Payal instantly ran to open the door. It was Akash on the other side. In all these days they became quite a good friends.

Payal-"hi...come in please.."

Akash-"hi...no actually I am very busy and di's list of work in not ending...here you take this mehendi and give the one you have to send for Bhai"

Payal-"but atleast come inside"

Akash-"okay" he came inside and saw Khushi who wearing a beautiful green anarkali suit. He only wished that post marriage Arnav don't hurt such an innocent girl.

After spending few minutes with them and exchanging the mehendi he hurriedly rushed back home .

Raizada Mansion

Akash-"Di..i have bought this mehendi and handed them the one which you gave..."

Anjali-"good..."

Nani-"but do you think anjali beta chotte will apply a small dot of it"

Anjali-"ofcourse Nani...he don't have to apply it fully...he just need to put a small almost invisible dot"

Shyam-"that's quite impossible...he his already highly pissed off..."

Anjali-"hmm...I know but we have to do something...it's a custom"

Nani-"but I have an idea" and all gathered to hear that idea.

Akash-"that's perfect nani...and di can easily do this.."

Anjali-"but this time I am bit scared "

Shyam-"arrey atleast you should try..."

Anjali-"okay..."

Gupta House

All were enjoying and Khushi was sitting in the centre and the girls around here were applying mehendi on her hand. She was enjoying it a lot...once after her mehendi finished she was called for the dance and along with other girls she too started dancing and then when Garima called for her.

Khushi-"ji maa...what happened and see how is my mehendi..."

Garima-"its beautiful beta but I want to tell you one thing"

Khushi-what maa"

Garima-"beta sit here first...(making her sit next to her she started)-"beta see...you are getting married in few days...and...and (holding her hands in hers)-you have to make this marriage work anyhow beta...we know that we had never been able to give you everything you wanted but..."

Khushi-2maa...beta why are you saying so...you and baba gave me everything I wanted...from clothes, education to everything ...you were the best parents ever...then why so are saying so"

Garima-"beta, we never distinguished between you and payal...you both were same for us...today we forced you for this marriage because you were not only our daughter but also our our great responsibility which bhaiya bhabhi gave us...and we know you wanted to study but...our life is short and before going away from you all we wanted to fulfil our responsibilities..."

Khushi-"maa..(hugging her tight) don't say like that ma...you were always the best..i am too lucky to have2-2 parents like you both. They left me alone a long back but then you all came in life. You always took great care of me...Then why all this.."

Shashi-"what happened to my Khushi beta why is she crying (asking to Garima)"

Khushi-"see na baba..."

Shashi-(taking Khushi in his embrace)"why are you making my Khushi cry??"

Garima-(wiping her tears)-"I was just telling her to make Arnavji and his family always"

Shashi-(to khushi)-"I think she knows that and she will make them too happy with her presence.."

Khushi-"Dekha maa..."

And all three of them spent some time together as after 2 days Khushi will be leaving their house and will be shifting to her husband's house..

Raizada Mansion

Anjali had applied a beautiful mehendi in her hands afterall it was her brother's wedding. She was looking a bit stress but still she was working ignoring her health. She moved out of her room and called out for Arnav and entered his room...and sat down... "Di...what happened you look so stressed"

Annjali-"nothing..just leave me tell me one thing...why are you looking so sad...Khushi ji is coming here...you are not going their"

Arnav-"not funny di...I am bit tensed"

Anjali-"tensed...but why??"

Arnav-"nothing di..."

Anjali-"okay..take your time...and come down fast everyone is waiting for you"and she got up and suddenly she felt dizzy. She was about to faint when Arnav hold her hand and all her mehendi got smudged and applied on his hand too...

Arnav-"NANI...SHYAAMMM...Di you ok"

Anjali-"hmm... I am fine..."

Nani-" chotte, what happened..(seeing anjali a bit unconscious she ran to her)-(turning towards arnav-"what you did to her this time"

Anjali-"nani I am fine..."

Shyam picked her up and laid her down on the bed...she was feeling better now.

Anjali-"trust me chotte, shyam ji I am fine"

Shyam-"we can see that"

Arnav-"let me call the doctor.."

Anjali-"let it be I am absolutely fine...I was a bit tired.."

Arnav-"di I already told you not to take stress in all these wedding preparations but you don't listen to me..."...and now you are not doing anything"

Anjali-"okay...okay...but I am sorry Arnav...I had messed up you hands...(and pointed towars his hands)

Arnav-(looking towards his hand and looking at the mehendi over his hands)"that's okay di...I will wash it"

Nani-"NOO...you cant wash it water"

Arnav-(with confused look)-"but why...?"

Nani-"I will get some milk...you wash it with it..."

Arnav-"WHAT..."?

Shyam-"Nani...bring it fast..."and nani immediately called for HP and washed Arnav's hand with some milk...and Arnav with irritated look walked out of the room.

Anjali-"Naniii...plan successful...we did it...and hugged Nani tight.."

Shyam-"me too want a hug...even I played an active role and all of them had a group hug"

Shyam-"but know if you continue fainting in his room, then soon Arnav will ban your entry in his room"...and all 3 of them broke out laughing.

NEXT DAY-Haldi Day

Today is the haldi of Arnav and Khushi and tomorrow finally the wedding. Khushi was sitting in the middle and everyone was applying Haldi to her turn by turn. She was all yellow today. And after sometime everyone started playing with haldi.

Payal- "Khushi,first show me your mehendi"...and khushi forwarded her hands and showed her mehendi...

Payal-"wow...so dark...seems like Arnavji loves you a lot..." Khushi blushed listening this and only managed to say-"Didi please , aap bhi"

At Raizada mansion Arnav was called by Anjali and this was the first time he came to attend his own Shaadi's event. He came down and was made to sit in the middle...

Arnav-"di...do it fast.."

Anjali-"yes..yes..(and then suddenly her eyes fell upon his hand...the spot of mehendi was too dark)-"wow Chotte look at you hand"...and he looked them

Anjali-"( in teasing tone) "seems like Khushiji loves you a lot" and everyone in the hall started laughing.

Arnav doesnot now how to react on this.."Di stop it...otherwise I am going"

Anjali-"okay...okay...and she took some haldi in her hands to apply him..2

Arnav-"not so much di...only take it in your one finger..."

Not to make him angry he did so and applied little on his face. And this was it. He got up from the hall to his room and wiped his face and looked into the mirror...Tomorrow is his wedding and a new girl will enter his life...Is he ready for this? Does he love lavanya? Is Khushi doing all this for money? Their were several questions in his mind but all were unanswered...but tomorrow is his wedding and he has to be ready for it for his sister...His di...who was not less than a mother for him and he can do anything for her...
