Deadly Reckoning
Deadly Reckoning
The door burst into splinters, and the room erupted into chaos. ACP Junaid's eyes widened as he took in the scene before him. Anushka, once a timid and reserved young woman, now stood tall, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination he'd never seen before. Her clothes were torn, her hair dishevelled, but her spirit remained unbroken.
With a strength that belied her slender frame, Anushka pinned a burly goon to the wall, her hands clenched into fists. Her eyes flashed with a fierce inner light, as if she had tapped into a deep well of inner strength.
Zunaid's gaze darted to Prithvi, who stood over Adheeraj's bathing with blood stained form, his fists still clenched, his face twisted in a snarl. Sanyogita stood beside Prithvi holding his arms to stop Adheeraj beating more .
The air was thick with tension, the silence punctuated only by the sound of heavy breathing. Junaid's team fanned out, surrounding the room, their guns drawn.
"Anushka, let him go," Zunaid said softly, his eyes locked onto hers.
Anushka's gaze never wavered, her grip on the goon never faltered. "Not until he pays for what he's done," she spat, her voice low and deadly.
Prithvi's fists continued to rain down on Adheeraj, each blow landing with precision and power, until he lay motionless on the floor, his body battered and broken. Prithvi stood over him, his eyes blazing with fury, his face twisted in disgust, his chest heaving with exertion.
Sanyogita's eyes widened in concern as she gazed at her husband's face, etched with a mixture of anger and revulsion. She knew that look, having seen it before when Prithvi had beaten Jagga, the goon who had ended up in the ICU with broken ribs and a shattered jaw.
"Prithvi, stop!" she begged, tugging on his arm. "You'll kill him!"
But Prithvi didn't seem to hear her. He was lost in his own world of rage and vengeance.
Sanyogita approached her, husband, finding no other option but her hands on his arms. "Prithvi, it's over," she whispered. "He can't hurt us anymore. "
Prithvi's gaze slowly focused on Sanyogita, his eyes still burning with anger. But as he looked into her eyes, his expression softened, his fists unclenched, and his shoulders relaxed. The fury in his heart began to dissipate, replaced by a deep love and adoration for the woman standing before him.
Sanyogita's eyes, like two shimmering pools of water, gazed up at him, filled with trust, love, and a deep understanding. Her gaze seemed to say, "I trust you, Prithvi. I know you can't cheat on me, betray me, or harm our unborn child." Her eyes were a balm to his soul, soothing his anger and calming his heart.
Prithvi's heart swelled with emotion as he gazed at Sanyogita. He felt his heart miss a beat, then another, as he was lost in the depths of her eyes. He longed to wrap his arms around her, to hold her close and keep her safe from harm. He yearned to take her to a place where no evil eyes could gaze upon her, where their love and their child could grow in peace.
Prithvi turned his back on Adheeraj, leaving him lying on the floor, his mouth filled with blood, his two front teeth broken and jagged. Adheeraj kept his eyes shut, pretending to be unconscious, but he was secretly watching Prithvi and Sanyogita, his gaze fixed on them with a malevolent intensity.
As Prithvi turned to hug his wife, Adheeraj saw his chance. He slowly got up, his movements stealthy and deliberate, his eyes fixed on the knife lying on the floor. He grabbed it and swiftly moved towards Sanyogita, holding the blade to her neck with deadly precision.
Sanyogita's eyes widened in horror as she felt the cold metal against her skin, her heart racing like a wild animal. She tried to struggle, but Adheeraj's grip was like a vice, his arm wrapping around her like a snake.
Prithvi's eyes snapped towards her, his face contorted in horror, his eyes blazing with a fierce protectiveness. "Adheeraj, nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!"
He roared, his voice echoing through the room like a thunderclap, his body tense and ready to spring into action.

Adheeraj's eyes gleamed with malice as he held Sanyogita hostage, his gaze locked on Prithvi with a triumphant sneer. "You'll never touch me again, Prithvi," he sneered, his voice dripping with venom, his words hanging in the air like a challenge.
The room was frozen in a deadly standoff, the only sound was the heavy breathing of the combatants, the tension thick and palpable, like a living thing. Adheeraj's eyes darted wildly between the police and Prithvi, his grip on Sanyogita tightening like a vice.
"Let me go, or she dies!" he spat, his voice venomous, his words hanging in the air like a challenge.
ACP Zunaid's face was a mask of calm, his eyes locked onto Adheeraj with a steady gaze. He instructed his colleagues to do as Adheeraj said, his voice firm and authoritative. "Remove the revolvers and raise your hands, unless you want to see Sanyogita dead."
The police officers complied, their movements slow and deliberate, their eyes fixed on Adheeraj with a mix of fear and anger.
Zunaid instructed his colleagues to do as Adheeraj said, Suddenly, he noticed ASP Zoya, her eyes fixed intently on the scene before her, her gaze locked onto Adheeraj with a fierce determination. She took furtive steps back, her movements stealthy and deliberate, her eyes never leaving Adheeraj's face.
" Don't move," Adheeraj warned, his voice firm and authoritative, his eyes blazing with malice. He snarled and tightened his grip on Sanyogita, the knife pressed menacingly against her neck, the blade glinting in the light like a deadly snake.
But before he could react, ASP Zoya pulled the trigger in slow motion, the sound of the gunshot echoing through the room like a thunderclap. Adheeraj's body jerked backward, the knife slipping from his grasp, his eyes wide with shock and pain.
Sanyogita's neck was slightly scratched, a single drop of blood trickling down her skin like a crimson tear, a stark reminder of the danger she had just faced. She gasped, her eyes wide with fear, as she stumbled forward, freed from her captor's grasp.
Prithvi rushed to her side, his heart racing like a wild animal, his arms wrapping around her like a shield, saving her from falling to the floor. His eyes blazed with a fierce protectiveness, his gaze burning with deep love and concern.
"Jaan, are you okay?" he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion, his lips brushing against her ear.
He kissed her on the head, his lips gentle and soothing, his touch sending shivers down her spine. Sanyogita nodded, her eyes locked onto Prithvi's face, her gaze filled with gratitude and love.
"I'm fine, Prithvi. Thanks to the police," she replied, her voice soft and weak, but filled with a deep appreciation for the woman who had saved her life.
Prithvi's breathing almost stopped when he saw the blood on his wife's neck, his heart skipping a beat as he gazed at the tiny droplet of crimson. But Sanyogita reassured him, her words calming his racing heart. "It's only a minor cut, Prithvi. I'm fine."
Prithvi pulled Sanyogita into a romantic hug, his arms wrapping around her like a cocoon, his lips brushing against her forehead with a gentle tenderness. He kissed her softly, his touch sending waves of love and comfort through her body, soothing her frazzled nerves.
Anushka, who had been watching the scene unfold with her mouth wide open in fear, finally felt a sense of relief wash over her like a warm wave. She saw the love and tenderness between Prithvi and Sanyogita, and knew that everything was going to be okay. She smiled, her eyes shining with tears, as she gazed at the couple, her heart filled with joy and gratitude.
Constable Shuklaji gaped at Prithvi, his eyes wide with surprise, when he hugged Mrs Malhotra, even hearing Prithvi address his wife with the romantic name "Jaan". But he didn't respond much, rather he exchanged a knowing glance with his senior officer Ravinder and ASP Zoya, who nodded subtly in understanding.
Zunaid, however, was overcome with emotion. He reached out and hugged Anushka into a tight embrace, holding her close like a precious treasure. He thought he had gotten back his life, finding the love of his life safe and sound. He breathed in deeply, inhaling the scent of her hair, and felt his heart overflow with joy and love.
As the two couples shared their tender moments, the tension in the room dissipated, replaced by a sense of warmth and happiness. The police officers, who had been on high alert, relaxed their stance, smiling at the heartwarming scene before them. Even ASP Zoya, who had been focused on the mission, couldn't help but smile, her eyes shining with a hint of tears.
ASP Zoya approached, her gun still trained on Adheeraj, who lay motionless on the floor, his eyes fixed on her with a mixture of anger and defeat. "It's over," she said, her voice firm and authoritative.
Prithvi's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. "How did you know I was here?" he asked Zunaid, his voice low and urgent.
ACP Zunaid broke into a warm smile, his eyes shining with relief, after releasing Anushka from the hug. "Mrs. Malhotra, your wife, informed me, Prithvi. She sent me her mobile location, and we traced the area quickly," he explained, his voice filled with gratitude.
Anushka came to her brother and hugged him tightly, tears of joy streaming down her face. Sanyogita also hugged her sister-in-law, her eyes shining with happiness.
Meanwhile, the police finally arrested Adheeraj and all the goons, their faces twisted with anger and defeat. They were dragged away, handcuffed and helpless, as the police officers cheered in triumph.
ASP Zoya said, her voice firm. "It's finally over."
As Sanyogita and Prithvi shared a tender moment, ACP Zunaid's eyes blazed with fury. He knew that the goons who had harmed his girlfriend, Anushka, would pay dearly for their actions.
Anushka, sensing Zunaid's rage, wrapped her arms around him, holding him close. "Zunaid, please don't let your anger consume you," she whispered.
But Zunaid's blood was boiling. He knew that he would torture every last one of the goons in jail, and make them pay for what they had done to Anushka.
"I'll make them suffer, Anu," Zunaid vowed, his voice low and menacing. "I'll make them wish they had never laid a hand on you."
Anushka's eyes filled with tears as she gazed up at Zunaid. "Yusuf , please don't do something that will haunt you forever," she begged.
But Zunaid's mind was made up. He would show no mercy to those who had harmed his love.
Just then, the Inspector approached them, his face grim. "Sir, we need to talk," he said.
Zunaid's eyes narrowed. "What is it, Ravinder?"
"Now we have the goons in custody," the Inspector replied. "But we need to decide what to do with them."
Zunaid's smile was cold and calculating. "Leave that to me," he said. "I'll take care of them."
Anushka's eyes widened in fear as she realised what Zunaid planned to do. But she knew that she couldn't stop him, not now.
But the moment of triumph was short-lived. Sarika's brother, his face twisted in a snarl, snatched a gun from a nearby police officer's waistband. He aimed the trigger at Sanyogita, his eyes blazing with hatred and a thirst for revenge.
Prithvi reacted instinctively, pulling Sanyogita into a spin, his body shielding hers. The bullet hit him instead, striking his right upper arm with a sickening thud, the sound echoing through the room like a crack of thunder.
Sanyogita's heart racing, her mind reeling, she gazed at Prithvi in horror as he crumpled to the ground, a bullet wound in his arm. She felt as if her world had come crashing down around her, her legs trembling beneath her.
"Prithviiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!...." she screamed, she screamed, her voice shrill with fear, as she fell to her knees beside him, her hands cradling his head. "Oh God, Prithvi!”
"Bhaiyaaaaaa!!!!" Anushka screamed with horror, her eyes wide with shock.
"Mr. Malhotra!!!!!!" Zunaid screamed with equal response, his face pale with fear.
The room erupted into chaos, with police officers rushing to Prithvi's side, trying to stem the bleeding from his arm. ASP Zoya quickly took charge, her voice firm and authoritative.
"Get him to the hospital, now!" she ordered, her eyes fixed on Prithvi's pale face.
But as she looked into his eyes, she saw the same love and devotion that had driven him to save her life. She felt a wave of emotions wash over her - shock, fear, gratitude, and above all, love.
"Why did you do this?" she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Why did you have to save me again?"
Prithvi winced, his face pale, but his eyes locked onto Sanyogita, filled with love and gratitude.
Tears streamed down her face as she wrapped her dupatta around his arm, applying pressure to stop the bleeding
The same dupatta Prithvi had wrapped around her after saving her from the goons.
Prithvi's face was pale, but his eyes shone with love and gratitude. "I'll always save you ," he whispered back, his voice weak but determined. "I'll always protect you, no matter what."
Sanyogita's tears fell harder as she smiled through them. "You're crazy, you know that? Tum sach mein ek rich, crazy, spoiled husband ho," she said, her voice shaking with emotion.
Prithvi's smile was faint, but his eyes sparkled with amusement, his gaze locked onto Sanyogita. "Maybe," he admitted, wincing in pain, his voice low and husky. "But I'd do it all over again for you, Jaan." The romantic name he whispered sent shivers down Sanyogita's spine.
Sanyogita's heart seemed to explode with emotion as she heard the tender endearment. It was the same name he whispered in her ear every night, the same name he murmured after waking up in the morning , and the same name he breathed before going to sleep . It was more than just a word - it was a promise, a vow, a declaration of his love.
