The first chair was high, and the one who sat there was probably the head of community, sometimes everything made her wonder whether it was really happening? Or was it just a dream? She tilted her head right and what she could see delighted her. He had a perfect smile on his face, as though it were sketched.

"Why are you, uh, smiling?" she asked.

"It's a big day indeed" he nodded.

"Actually, its not. These people, these things, these circumstances, sometimes they make me wonder whether I am dreaming" she said with little shrug.

He placed a warm hand over her shoulder. "If you are, then I don't want us to wake up." He blinked.

She smiled and then shifted her gaze forward, there were seven beautifully carved chairs with red cushions on each one of them. The priest stood standing. Although everyone was seated, the guess was easy, the priest was not counted as one of the council, but neither was she.

"I want to call Kriya Ghai, who is under the protection of Reyaansh Singhania" the man announced.

There were around ten people in the room and they were all men, she could understand why, no women were allowed In the discussion room of the council. He removed his hand from her shoulder and walked to what it seemed like a stage. She was behind him.

"I demand thee man and woman to confess the sins they committed back days" The elder's breaking voice said.

Both looked at each other nervously. "I touched her" Reyaansh confessed out.

"Where?" questioned the elder.

She flushed. "Everywhere" Reyaansh replied,

She faced downwards. "You were asked to protect her not to.." before the elder could complete she objected.

"I object!" she spoke out "We-both of us. Have a past. And if I am handed to him, he cannot just do it. He's a man my lord! Not a saint"

She intertwined their fingers and continued ignoring the continuous gasps from the people, surely, she was the only one protesting the lord here. "And what we have here, is more than what people like you may interpret. This is something I believe, and something I'm ready to die for if asked to. This is not love! No, its not. Its something more, more intense, more passionate, more demanding, and more desiring, and I will not give up on him. even if you ask me to."

He could just look at her. The elder coughed once, and then nodded "But I'm afraid you are not one of us" he said.

"I'm so one of you" she said "I'm not a human, and you know that"

"Ms Ghai, do you have any idea of what an Oracle is?" she elder stood up.

"Its not as easy as you think Ms Ghai, some people killed themselves, because they could not handle the mental pressure. Your species is almost FINISHED" he spoke out.

She faced downwards. "There are just seven of you around the world, do u know that? We had to protect you, why else do you think an animal like Reyaansh would go to some college? We had to look over you."

She looked at him with hurt' pasted on her face, why didn't he tell her? Is that why he left her?

"See, we don't object you, but can you handle this torture? Or do you want to get trained for this." The elder asked.

"I would like to know more about my species first" she said tearing away his hand from her.

"An Oracle is a priest or priestess acting as a medium through whom advice or prophecy was sought from the gods in classical antiquity." The elder said. She made a confused face.

"I would like to talk to Miss Ghai alone. Can you accompany me to my chamber Kriya?" it was the first time she was hearing her name from someone in this council.

She just nodded. Looking at him once.

"I would like register this conversation too" reyaansh spoke.

"I'm afraid you will have to stay here Mr Singhania, weren't you taught to do what you're told? Besides that, do not worry. I would do no harm to your sensitive mistress here" the elder hushed and almost smiled.

She accompanied him to his chamber. "I want to know what an Oracle is. In detail" she said

"Sure my child, have a seat." The old man said "For starters, an Oracle is someone who can control things through their minds. Having visions. Things breaking when temper arises, are one of the symptoms"

She made a frightened face.

"Do not worry child, Oracles are probably the most genius brains of entire twenty-first century, and after that even. Oracles are capable of doing wonders, for an example, one of your species from London named Kai just entered his instincts into one of the vampires and expanded it until the vampire exploded" the man said.

She was bewildered. Her eyes were widened and face was suddenly shorter,

"You can control peoples mind Kriya, you can decide what they shall think. You yourself can make a person optimistic or a person crazy. You are capable of such wonders child. You can enter anyone's mind. You can do things just by thinking about them. Oh, this is just the start, just see what you will discover once you are a bit trained" said the elder.

Kriya smiled. "It seems wonderful. When can I start with the training?" she asked.

"Oh it is wonderful, and the training shall begin from tomorrow. Kai would be a part of it" the elderly man said.

Kriya was delighted. "But why am I being trained?" she asked,

"Some Oracles died because of the horrid visions. You must have had those" she nodded slightly. "We don't want that to happen with you. we need you here"

She smiled. "Well, okay. If you say so" she said "Shall I leave?"

"You may" the elder's voice said.

She stood up and walked to the door before she could open it she heard "And young lady, avoid making love with your over possessive boyfriend, it may lead to something unwanted"

She smiled at herself "Sir, you are so not an elder material"

"Oh you never know what I can turn myself into" he said

"Does that mean that you too are an Or..?" before she could complete he offered her a wrinkled smile.

"I opened the door for you, carry on" he smiled and she turned to find out the door opened, though it was closed few minutes ago.

She smiled as the realization occurred her He is one of us. The elder is an Oracle"

She hugged him "Sorry I couldn't tell you of anything related to this. Actually.. that time I wasn't supposed to get into any relationship and.." he said

"I understand" she nodded "you don't need to be sorry"

He took hand in his. "And about what you said.."

"We don't have to talk about that" she looked away smilingly. "we are good"

"How are you?" he asked.

"I'm good. infact, I have these trainings, which are starting from tomorrow" she said. He leaned in to kiss her but she moved away.

"Naah naw, they warned me not to get into any sexual activity, going crazy is the last thing I want now" she said

"Trust me, if it weren't you, I couldn't care less" he smiled. "Lets head home"

"Yeah, your place" she nodded.

That evening was better than any she had had so far. He cuddled in with her with a blanket that covered them from freezing and they were watching doctor doctor' with a bowl of popcorn.

It was all great until the doorbell rang. His strong muscles around her as they focused on the movie,

"Don't go" she hushed.

"Will have to see who it is," he chuckled "stay right there"

He was gone and after a few moments she heard him yell "Kriya someone's out there for you"

She stood up wondering who would demand her at such an odd hour. Curiosity ran through her veins.

Rey sent her million of questions through his green orbs. She couldn't help but feel guilty, the muscular frame of the guy on the door surprised her. He was tall, taller than Rey. And he had fair british looks.

He was cute. She decided. "Um, do I know you?" she asked.

"Hi Kriya, I'm Kai" was all he said while an honest smile played on his lips.
