@ the canteen

All were gathered at the canteen except randhir. He was busy working on a machine. He always kept himself busy when he was lost or disturbed. He was disturbed and again the reason was sanyukta, but this time it wasn't her presence but her absence. It was more than 24 hours now. He tried to concentrate hard on the machine in front of him. He just wasn't able to. At that time jiggi called him and asked him to come to canteen for lunch. He said he would have later and they shouldn't wait for him. Kaustuki showed the letter to parth and jiggi. They were shocked. Parth started reading it aloud

Dear Kaustuki,

You will find it wiered as to why am I writing you this letter. Well I need to go back home urgently as my brother had informed that there's an emergency at home I guess dad's not well. You know how easily he gets hyper. I am worried for him. I am sorry I had to leave like this. Im sure you can understand. Give my regards to all. Take care and all the best for your internship. Please don't wait for me to comeback after vacations.

The last line in the letter left everyone shocked. What was stopping sanyukta from coming back? Randhir stood their at the entrance motionless. He was shocked. He couldn't believe that farzi had left them so soon. The girl who had blasted a machine in the lab to stay in the college had left the college, she had left her friends, she had left him, that too without stating any reasons, any explanations. He remembered their last encounter before she went back. Those tear filled eyes. He felt that she wannted to tell him something that was disturbing her. What was it. Why did he leave her like that. He should have asked her. But that's what he wanted. Jiggi called him out breaking his thoughts. He quietly went and sat there with them behaving as though he hadn't heard anything.

J- aree randhir bhai aapko pata hai sanyukta apne ghar chale gayi aur hamare liye yeh letter hod gayi.

Vid- oh God.!! I can't believe this. Im sure yeh uska koi naya drama hoga. Jaana hi tha toh seedhe chale jaati, itna natak karne ki kya zaroorat thi.

K- I cant believe vidushi .Sanyukta is an important member of dream team and our roomie. tum aise kaise bol sakti ho who bhi uske liye jiski wajah se tum ..mm mm mera matlab hai jisne tumhari itni help ki hai har baar.(not wanting to reveal the truth of her fee payment)

Vid- oh please ! itna over react karne ki kya zaroorat hai. Chalo isse ek baat toh achi hui. Ab muje raat ko tum dono ki bak bak nai sunne padengi. Mai jaari apne room mai.

K- ha so go waise bhi yaha tumhari zarrooat nai hai.

( vidushi leaves)

P- Im damn sure sanyukta humse kuch chupa rahi hai.

( in this story no one except randhir knows about sanyukta's enagement.)

Yo yo- Oye randhir paaji kaha kho gaye ?

(randhir comes out of his thoughts)

R- huh, huh kya hua?

J- randhir bhai aap theek to ho na

R- ha ha mujhe kya hua hai.

J- sanyukta chale gayi hai.

R- (back in mcp mode) Acha hi hai , ab se college mai class mai aur ham sab ke life mai shanti hi shanti hogi.

(He said with a smirk. Only he knew what he was goin through at the that time.)

Aur waise hi next week se internship shuru ho rahi hai, hame uspe concentrate karna chahiye naa hi uss farzi pe.

Saying so he got up and rushed out from there not wanting to talk anymore on her.

After a while all retired for the day and went to their rooms. Randhir was quietly sitting on his bed. He heard footsteps. Thinking it must be parth and jiggi he lay on the bed pretending to sleep.
