Chapter 8
"But I have had a life after you left me and I don't really think my Husband will want that.!" Khushi whispered and Arnav's heart died in that moment.
Indeed she was happily married again.He was stupid to believe that Khushi would be single and waiting for him.
Arnav staggered on his feet and then turned to leave the room which felt like it was closing in on him.
Khushi was not his.
He knew that before but getting it confirmed by her broke his heart in to a million pieces.
On his way out..He spoke to Lavanya.
"I am sorry Mrs.Lavanya NK...I can't do the interview today..May be some other day." With that he walked out of the studios.
When Arnav reached home..He cancelled his appointments and all his plans.He went straight to bed in his work clothes.
For the first time in his life...Arnav Singh Raizada cried...Heartbroken.🥺

"What happened?" Lavanya asked to a visibly pained Khushi who was rooted to the spot where Arnav had left her.
"He left..again." Khushi said and walked towards her cabin.
Khushi was not feeling guilty that she lied to him but it was necessary to force him out of her life.
But what was that crashing sound?...
'Oh its my heart breaking again!' Khushi thought.
"You forced him out.."Lavanya's voice said while
Khushi looked at Lavanya absent mindedly.
"It was for the best for me and my life." Khushi said while still staring.
"It sure is not good for Aarushi's life, Khushi..YOU ARE BEING SELFISH..." Lavanya screamed at her best friend.
"NK has finished the coverage and He is coming back tomorrow...Pam is preparing the set for the weather reports today and please tell the light-man to install red lights for the new program starting on Tuesday...The green ones are scary.." Khushi said while piling the files to divert Lavanya's attention.
"Khushi, I am not talking about work here.." Lavanya grunted.
"I am not interested to talk about my personal life...Lav,Please leave me alone." Khushi said fighting her tears to control.
"Come On Khushi,He really loves you..Can't you see it in his eyes..? " Lavanya wanted her best friend to be happy and knew that Arnav was the only source of happiness.
"Now I am starting to doubt you,Lav.Was it your stupid idea of this interview to unite me and Arnav?" Khushi growled.
"No..It was not my idea but when I saw him and his love for you I prayed it would go perfectly."
"Ours is not some filmy love story where you can see someone's love ,Lavanya!" Khushi said to a very defeated Lavanya.
"You know you are very stubborn." Lavanya sighed.
"Nah!Just saving myself from a heart break." Khushi whispered back.

Next Monday...
Arnav had become a walking ghost.He went to his company but sat through all the meetings with a straight face and then go back home.
"Sir..You don't look very good." Aman said as he noticed Arnav slumped on the couch.
Arnav looked at Aman then continued staring at the ceiling.
"Sir..Do I need to know anything.?" Aman persuaded.
"Aman,please shut up and leave me alone." Arnav grunted.
It hurt Arnav to know that Khushi belonged to someone else.
When Arnav returned home..His phone was ringing.
"Arnav Singh Raizada speaking." He answered the phone.
"Mr.Raizada..This is Mr.NK from the NK.LA Studios speaking...are you up for the interview tomorrow?"
"Ok..But can someone else take my interview?" Arnav asked praying that He did not see Khushi's face again.
"Sure..I will arrange for Pam,Will you do the interview tomorrow?"
"Ok...Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m sharp." Arnav said and hung up.
'Lets see Khushi...If you can forget me...I Can too forget you..' Arnav growled to himself in the mirror.
His mind fiercely opposed him..'No You can't.'
'Yes...I can't break her Heart again.'❤️
