Part 9(A)

Saying that he kissed her forehead. She felt that was the most sincere apology she ever received. The moment he kissed her forehead she felt bliss. His shirt was drenched due to her tears and she felt droplets of his tears on her face. Both of them were lost in each other's embrace. It felt so much like home. A place where they belong. They din't feel like letting go of each other. They sat there for a long time until both of them fell into deep slumber cuddling each other.

It was late in the evening. Payal just came back home. She was surprised that Khushi did not latch the door although it was closed. Khushi was no where to be seen especially at this time she would be watching her favorite serials on tv. Getting worried, she started looking around for khushi.

Payal: Khushi, Khushi!

Payal stop dead at her tracks when she entered Khushi's room…

Payal: what the..?

The Arnav Singh Raizada was hugging her little sister and sleeping. She pinched herself to see if she was dreaming. Payal was speechless when reality dawned her. She did not what to do, wake them up or leave them. Though she could not deny the fact the looked like a perfect fit. Breaking her thoughts her protective instincts took over. She remembered khushi complaining of ASR being a laad Gavenar, rakshahs! So what the hell is he doing here? Why on earth they are sitting like this? is Khushi ok?

Payal stood infront of them: KHUSHI! KHUSHI!

Arnav was the first to wake up. He was imprecise of the situation. Thinking to himself who the hell was this nurse and why is she shouting Kushi'S name. He felt his hand numb, his back ached,he looked down and saw khushi sleeping like a baby in his arms. That's when it struck him why he was here and in this condition. He had slept off while consoling Khushi. he looked at her, she looked so beautiful like a figurine and then he looked at payal, who looked like a tigress trying to protect her cub.

Arnav(thinking): oh ohh! I hope she is not Khushi part 2.

But payal looked back at khushi and woke her up again. Khushi! KHUSHIII!

Khushi: jiji, humey soney do… aaj office nehi hai..

Payal(thinking): thank god she is fine. Yeh ladki bhi naa..

Payal squat down and pat her face: khushi uto naa.. aaj office nehi hai, lekin tumhari office yahan ayi ..

Khushi open her eyes slightly looking at payal, she is still in a haze and does not realize that she is lying on Arnav. : kya?

Payal: Khushi, tu, tumahari Laad gavenor..

biting her lip and looked at Arnav, he gave her the what on earth look

Payal (slight smile): I mean Arnav Singh Raizada ki bahomay sorahi hai! Uto naa..

Khushi opened her eyes big, she could smell his scent and when she moved and looked up she accidently brush her lips on his chin. They shared an eye lock for while until Payal broke it off by clearing her throat. They jerked from each other off. They quickly stood up looking guiltily while payal stood in front of the waiting for explanation. The could not look at each other's eye or at Payal also. They could not fathom how this situation occurred.

Arnav : hmm.. its getting late, I think I should go! Khushi can I use the wash room?

Khushi: yea sir, that way.

Arnav went to the wash room. Khushi looked at Payal who had her hand on her hips.

Khushi: jiji, its not like what you think..

Payal: so, then what is it like?

Khushi( nervous): jiji…. Its actually he came to see me, then we talked about Mummy Papa and then I was crying , then he was consoling me, then we ended up sleeping. (she said it all in one go)

Payal believed her sister but she wanted to pull Khushi's leg: but Khushi it does not make sense..there's some missing piece here.

Khushi: jiji I am telling you right…u don't believe me (with puppy eyes)

Payal: acha baba, I believe you.

They heard Arnav coming out from the wash room.

Payal: ok go and send him off.. we will talk about it later.

Khushi went to Arnav. They walked together to his car. Both of them were numb for words. At the car door, Arnav finally opened his mouth

Arnav: Khushi….

Khushi: hmm..

ASR: Khushi ( he touched her cheeks and then looked into her eyes) I am sorry for everything..

Khushi was dumbfounded. He told her sorry again? She just smile and nodded.

ASR (slightly smile): acha, mei chaltein hain..

Khushi: Arnav sir..dont say chaltein, say hattein hein

Arnav: ok..so u expect me to come here more often?

Khushi: no sir, I did not mean it that way.

She shyly looks down, arnav sits in his car. She was about to walk back to her house when Arnav pulls over infront of her and rolls down the window..

ASR: Khushi!

Khushi: yes sir?

ASR: just for the note, you look like your mother. Very beautifull.

She blushed. Saying that he drove away. Looking at his rear view mirror, He saw Khushi still rooted at the spot. Thinking to himself :PAGAL!

They both had a smile playing on their lips all day long . In RM everyone was surprised to see Arnav smiling and being in a good mood. Only Anjali realize that her brother had cried before he smiled. She did not want to see him upset again, so she let it be. Another person who knew why he was smiling was Aakash. Payal had called him. Silently he was praying that His Bhai finds back his happiness, His Khushi!

It was contrary in Gupta house, payal kept on teasing the blushing Khushi the whole night.

It was like as if they woke up for a new day where the sunshine rises back but the only difference was there was no sun and it was dark and they were going to sleep back. Waiting for tomorrow, a new day, they slept peacefully after all the commotion that has been going for awhile between them.
